Jap Series Pro eliminations
Drama as David Greenhalgh on a storming launch with a 1.219 60ft and 3.358, went across the track in front of Dave Nicol and head-on
into the left hand barrier, the impact sending him across the track coming to rest just short of the right hand barrier. Dave Nicol who
had started in the left lane, drove round him into the right hand lane and completed his run in that lane. The Ambulance and safety
crews were on the spot immediately and took David Greenhalgh to the medical centre for a precautionary check. Word came back from
race officials that David got himself out of the car, was thus conscious and talking, and that apart from a banged up elbow was fine.
One suspects that he will ache a bit in the morning but that could have been a lot worse.
With only JDS Street not run (8.50 bike were all no-shows), this concludes our coverage of eliminations. Well done to race officials and marshals for getting at least some racing in today. We will be posting our gallery when we are back to base, check back in a few hours' time.

Good morning and welcome to our coverage of the APIRA Springspeed Nationals brought to you in association with John
Woolfe Racing.
The Webster Race
Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam is switched off currently, due to weather conditions (see below) and will be
broadcasting live video and commentary when racing commences. Thanks to
Doyousee.me for the provision of streaming services.
It is currently wet on track, an isolated shower just having been and gone. The radar is looking much clearer and the track should dry quickly, so we are optimistic that eliminations can take place later.
After observations from the MSA Steward, competitors and crew will have noticed that passes are being checked more thoroughly in the staging lanes and on startline. SCR is famous for being a friendly and lenient place to race, but we have had to tighten up on the number of people in the startline area purely for safety reasons. The clerks of the Course - Glenn Stockton, Jane Read and Tony Smith would like to thank all the teams for their good natured co-operation.
The traditional Raceday Good Morning to our US Correspondent Kathy Hileman who is tuned in from New Hampshire, hope you had a good weekend Kathy. Hello also to SPRC Club Secretary Ian Marshall who is tuned in from home as his recovery from a back operation progresses, look forward to seeing you back at the track soon. A big Good Morning to all of the Eurodragsterholics and especially Kai Plathan and the faithful Otto in Vehkataipale, Finland and of course to our #1 fan Ivar Kolberg in Norway.
The start is likely to be delayed, but stay tuned, and we will bring you the news as soon as the first pair fires up.
