Topspeed Automotive Street Eliminator were at the far end of the pairing lanes but have just turned tail. There are
spots of rain in the air but going back to the pits seems a bit drastic... I am guessing that they have elected to go
out on the Cruise. When we know, you'll know.

Andy Dibley up to #2 in the first pair. Kirstie improved to consolidate her #1 spot, a tidy-looking repair on the roof of the
Camaro after it parted company with its sun roof in Q1. Lots of smoke from Jemma Hale's car in the third pair, looked like tyre
smoke. Next pair and Elaine Hancock took over #1. Alan Medley up to #3 next pair.

Funny Bike qualifying session 2
A delay for spots of rain at the top end, which gave the start line crew more time to complete work on Lee Guy's oil which
had seeped underneath the rubber in the left lane staging area. Dave Peters pushed back after having problems in his
attempted burnout. Improvement for Jiri Lukes but stayed #3. Dave Buttery's motor cut out after the burnout but restarted,
motor cut out again at the hit. Improvement for Allan Davies, consolidated his #1 spot. First outing of the weekend for
Pete LeGros, motor hesitated and banged a couple of times in the first hundred feet, smoke too but then cleared and from about
100 feet it was a nice-looking and -sounding run. Phil Crossley next up, great run and we think a PB but good for #1 spot,
well done Phil! Great run also for Eric Richard, front wheel up most of the way and yesterday's problems forgotten, up to #2
- Phil Crossley 7.328/180.53
- Eric Richard 7.500/177.23

Pro ET qualifying session 2
Yesterday's issue was that the timing system got it into its head that Pro ET qualifies on Reaction Times;
although Your Reporter was at that point copying off the official printed timing sheets it was apparently my
fault that the numbers were wrong. And people wonder why I get grumpy. James Forster into #4 in the third pair,
Eurodragster.com sponsor Steve Hudson in at #5 next pair. Big move up the ladder for Geoff Cowley, up to #4
next pair. Slightly wayward run for Mark White next pair but stayed on the gas and still broke out. 9.473
breakout for Bob Molden on a 9.56 dial-in, crew again went nutso, a PB so well done Bob! Smoke again from Keith
Herbert's Fury in the other lane, track checked and all OK. Colin Felstead up to #2 next pair. Lee Guy's Sierra
pushed back after staging revealing a big puddle of fluid. Great 0.003 RT from Dave Cherrett as he took the bye.
Ethan Lisle up to #2 with the penultimate run of the session. 0.009 RT by Dave Nicol and a 9.055 breakout on
9.13 dial-in, he'll be pleased with that, the new set-up coming together.

Outlaw Anglia qualifying session 1
We had a hold for light rain after Super Street Bike. £10 fine for Colin Millar and team for waving at the
webcam just before the restart, cheques payable to Leukaemia and Lymphoma thank you guys. Consternation around Scott
Crookston's car, more properly Colin Millar's car, Colin rushing to open the door just before Scott pre-staged before
being told to stand away by race officials. Then looked
like a carb cough in stage for Scott just as Dave went up on the revs, Scott was pushed back whilst Dave took the bye.
Great run for Cliff although some smoke in the shutdown area but the news in that pairing was a perfect straight run for Matt
who has had more than his fair share of directional stability issues recently. Scott back for another go in the last pair.
Nice run for Scott, all eyes on Paul who double stepped off the line and then the Pop started to fishtail, more and more
serious before the moves got quite violent and Paul got off the gas.

We have heard from our colleague and Sportman ET #1 qualifier Kirstie who tells us that one piece is missing of the sun roof (right) which came off the 50 Shades of Green
Camaro at 1000 feet.
Although Simon is photographing trackside he has still found time to pass on some pit notes courtesy of bike
photo-journalist Steve Moxley, to whom many thanks:
2015 Funny Bike Champion Dave Peters has a new rear wheel with beadlock tyre fixing. He made a big burnout to bed a new tyre in but the launch was so ferocious,
the bolts on the rear sprocket sheared. Dave then had to refit his old wheel and tyre. Fellow FB racer Dave Buttery who had a new ignition system at the SPR Easter meet,
suffered breakage after his burnout.
Funny Bike racer Allan Davies, riding one of Richard Gipp's machines, went into no.1 with a 7.79 after changing his engine to a larger 1500cc one, used briefly last year and with
new carburettors and clutch for this season.
Ex-pat Czech Jiri Lukes is back after taking a year off to rebuild the Kawasaki engine on his Otto Knebl-built Funny Bike with new heads. He made a checkout pass
yesterday. Jiri's brother Jan is racing a Ford Escort Mk 1 in Sportsman ET with a 383cu in SBC and will look to move up to Pro ET in the future.
John McLean Jnr is at SCR for the first time, running in Comp Bike. He has changed the fuel pump to aid his nitrous assisted Suzuki GSXR 1216cc engine.
Fellow Comp racer Kev Osman has rebuilt the engine on his S&K Racing Hayabusa bike.
Meanwhile Dave Bachelor has bought Phil Crossley's previous bike, Bopchop II, and had installed his own engine and transmission into it for 2016.

Courtesy of Simon Day of APIRA's Tech Crew, to whom big thanks, we now have a console of our own which will allow us to
keep track of qualifying placings in real time rather than waiting for the paperwork. What you will see for ET / dial-in
classes from now on is over / under dial-in immediately, with the ETs and speeds added shortly afterwards when we get the
paperwork.

9.50 Bike qualifying session 1
Drama in the last pair as Stacey Reed wheelied and parted company with the bike about seventy feet out. Safety crews moved
very quickly indeed. Stacey got herself up, but the medical team got her to lay back down again and put her on a stretcher to
be checked out at the Medical Centre. The bike ended up about 500 feet out; Brett Cordelle who was in the other lane pulled
to a halt next to Stacey's bike and checked that its motor had stopped, commendable rapidity of thought.

Super Pro ET qualifying session 1
A big Good Morning to Paul Marston Racing who had to withdraw the PT Bruiser, a real pity as we were very much looking forward
to seeing the Bruiser out on track again. Don't know if it's true but what we heard was that the team put the Bruiser
back together but, as is quite often the case with these things, they found a part left over still sitting on the workshop floor.
That part being the motor. But like I say, I don't know if that is true. Great run by Chris Parker for #1 spot, +0.007 off the trailer
and close to the Eurodragster.com Perfect ET Award in support of NSPCC.
Burnout of the day so far by Billy Gane next pair, followed by a cracking 0.008 reaction, nice one Billy. Next pair and Roy
Wilding had his hands full with the S&K Racing dragster, headed left and had to pedal, then headed left again when he hit it a second
time.

Napier's first Sportsman ET outing in Ruby the Cuda, one rear tyre smoking and the car took a step to the right
about 200 feet out, Tig backed off. 0.002 RT for Andy Dibley in the other lane. Eurodragster.com staff member Kirstie into #1

Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the APIRA Springspeed Nationals brought to
you in association with John Woolfe Racing.
The Webster Race
Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be
on-line broadcasting live video and commentary / ShakeySounds audio so long as the track is open. Thanks to
Doyousee.me for the provision of streaming services.
It's another very pleasant morning here at Shakespeare County Raceway, sun and high cloud and mild. The track is ready and
the first classes are in the pairing lanes.
The plan today is again for live race reports and a gallery at the end of the day. Yesterday's Comp Bike qualifying session
has been annulled and we open with a re-staging this morning. A big Hello and hugs to Tanya Hardy who is in hospital with a
badly damaged left wrist from yesterday's crash. Get well soon Tanya and we look forward to seeing you back at the track soon.
Qualifying is due to commence at 10:00 so stay tuned and as soon as the wheels start to turn we'll bring you the news.
As we are doing manual qualifying here with pen, paper and brain - no on-line link to the timing - we will be posting top
fives.
