Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the APIRA Open Sport Nationals held by APIRA and brought to you in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.
A nice sunny day again with just some high cloud in the sky. Hopefully it will stay that way.
We will be completing the second session of qualifying and then going into the third and fourth planned sessions; we are due to start very shortly with Super Pro ET. A running order has been posted on the event page. A big Good Morning to our colleagues Tog, Kirstie and Patrik at Tierp covering eliminations at the Turtle Wax Internationalswhich has a PPV webcast. As mentioned yesterday there is no webcam at the Open Sports Nationals because we are lacking the necessary resources
In yesterday's action both the Eurodragster.com/Gold RV Perfect ET Award and Eurodragster.com/Bad Habit Racing Perfect Light Award were won. 75 went to each of Junior drag Bike racer Natalie Jones for her Perfect ET and to Super Pro ET racer Patrick Dubois for his perfect light.
In Outlaw Anglia, Colin Millar with the Flyin' Fyfer has had to withdraw with piston damage following his 7.736/173.83 qualifying pass. Meanwhile Cliff Griffin ran a 7.678/183.96 which he tells us is a PB for speed and his best ET for SCR (at SPR he has recorded a 7.673).
Stay tuned and we will have all the news when the wheels start turning.
