While we are a break to re-glue the track, some bike notes coutesy of Steve Moxley who is here reporting for Streetfighters magazine. Funny Bike racer Dave Peters has been having clutch issues and was surprised at a 173 terminal speed after a difficult (bouncy) run.
Pro Stock Bike racer Ray Debben is trying a different gearbox, which he used to run regularly, and trying to get the setup tuned. Also in Pro Stock, Eurodragster.com sponsor (courtesy of Draper Tools) Mark Smith suffered bent shift shafts over the weekend, still getting into the sevens to qualify no.1.
Super Street bike racer Martin Wilson has moved up from 8.50 Bike and has run close to a PB after adding a Gen2 clutch and changing sprockets for quicker gearing. Nigel Barker is out after a chain adjuster broke and the engine partly seized. Chris 'Boisie' Reed celebrated his first ever no.1 qualifying position.
Comp Bike racer Dale Leeks was a no-show today, but ran a PB in qualifying on his ex-Stuart Crane bike. Dale is teamed with MPM Oil-sponsored colleagues Stuart Crane and Mark Smith. In the same class Phil Crossley ran a new PB of 7.87 in qualifying. Top of qualifying was Lizz McCarthy with a PB speed even after taking out 10 degrees of timing. Tony Clark has new rear suspension which has helped him to new PBs.
Supertwin ET racer Robbie Dobbie has bought Dave Shorthouse's old bike over the winter. Supertwin Comp racer Chris Mott is riding Nigel Batsford's orange Buell whereas Nigel finished his red Buell bike on Friday. Pete Harrison has a new quick shift and lowered front end, whilst rookie Carey Wade has a new bike and was pleased to go no.1 early in qualifying.

Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the APIRA Springspeed
Nationals brought to you in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.
The Webster Race
Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line
and will be broadcasting video and audio as long as the track is open. Thanks to our good buddies at
Doyousee.me for streaming facilities.
The traditional Raceday Good Morning to our US Correspondents Ed O'Connell and Kathy Hileman who are tuned in from
Rye, NH. Hope you are enjoying the coverage guys.
We visited Jack Brewster after seeing a lot of smoke in the shutdown area from his Firebird. Sadly the smoke was the result of a rod going through the sump with damage to a piston as well. Jack told us he may be out of action for some time while he awaits replacement parts, so we wish him well and hope to see him back on track soon.
We are due to start at 10:00 so stay tuned for all of the news.
