A big Well Done to all the race officials, track crew and racers for getting it this far. We were working off the scoreboards today so your reporter would like to say a big Thank You to Janet Schreier for leaving ETs and speeds on the boards long enough to transcribe.

This is subject to confirmation as the final round, as one suspects that this was a case of Last Men Standing. But we'll call it the final until we're told otherwise. A great drag race with Joe visibly away first and Paul reeling him in despite the orange Topo weaving left and right and getting close to the guardrail, in the end Paul got off the throttle but not far from the finish line.

Trackside conditions are 12.3 C, 74% humidity and 30.06 inches of air, track temperature is 14.1 C.

Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the 2009 Springspeed Nationals in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/Lex Joon Racing USA Tour 2009 webcam is on-line and is posting a picture every sixty seconds.

Not quite so glorious a morning as previously. It's overcast and there have been a few spots of rain in the air but as I type there are just a few streaks of water on the window. Trackside conditions are 10.7 C, 56% humidity and 30.21 inches of air, we'll bring you the track temperature shortly.

The usual Raceday Hello to our US Correspondents Ed O'Connell and Kathy Hileman who are tuned in from the Institute of Advanced Leisure Studies in Rye, NH. How is your list coming along Ed?
