Nick Hale with a nitrous backfire on the line, refired and idled down the track after Al Williamson had soloed for the win. No-show for Ashley Cooper against Al McSweeney who made a relatively gentle pass.

Liam MacDonald over Marie Camilleri, Jacqueline Bartlett closer to dial than Daniel Todd. Harley Coulsell holeshot Max Taylor, Luke Mugridge holeshot Ellie Fagg, Emmy Crundwell rolled through stage against Daniel Weir and was pushed back. Lara Bartlett closer to dial than #1 qualifier Harry Redshaw. Molly Openshaw broke out against Mackenzie Love, Ada Cassisi closer to dial than Teddy Howe. 08:30 Good morning and welcome to our coverage of day 4 of the FIA/FIM-E Main Event from Santa Pod Raceway. The weather is dry with clouds which should start to clear in the afternoon. There is a tailwind of about 16mph, from the northeast and tmperatures are 8C rising to 16C. Density altitude from airdensityonline.com is 200ft below sea level and rising to 200ft by 2pm. Grains of water are lower, 44-48. In other words, we once again have excellent air, conditions for quick runs. Qualifying yesterday was successful, all sessions were completed and we saw some exceptional performances. The speed records of Susanne Callin, first TF in Europe to hit 320mph over 1000ft (Andy Carter did it in 2010, thanks Andy Marrs for the info) and Rikard Gustavsson the first Top Fuel Bike in Europe to hit 260mph (and second in the world), these barrier breaking runs make an event memorable, but cudos to all who ran their personal bests. Today we will be busy in eliminations, with four classes having 32 car ladders being busiest, Super Pro ET, Pro ET, Super Gas and Junior Dragster. We're expecting some alternates to come into Pro ET and in Super Gas commuserations to Dan Page who sustained engine damage despite obtaining a replacement oil pump yesterday afternoon. In Comp eLiminator, Kev Jenkins suffered a huge plume of smoke in the shutdown area with engine carnage; the team suspect a rod or rod bolt failure, with the the bottom end completely destroyed .
