Ian Brown over Mark Todd. Pause for track check in Mark's lane. Sorry to hear Belinda Bull's truck had a problem nosing over down the track with damage discovered, however we had the benefit of Belinda's thoughts in the commentary box. Kev Jenkins over Kev Perkins whose Cutlass snapped right at 100ft and Kev did well to retain control and bring it to a safe halt, idling down the track.
Pel Norman not able to make the call after problems on his qualifier, so a bye for Brian Pateman. Then Jedd Guy shut off alongside Mark Turner. A bye run for Paul Marston due to Belinda withdrawing from competition, a hard launch and best ET of the weekend for Paul. Then a #1 qualifier bye for Dave Smith who got close to the centre line and lifted.

Good morning and welcome to day 2 of our coverage of the STP Greenlight Nationals from Santa Pod Raceway. It's another lovely day with just a few wspy clouds in an otherwise sunny sky. The temperature is 15C rising to 22C with a 11mph wind from the south west. Air density is forecast to be 1200-1700ft with 62 grains of water reducing to 56 in the afternoon.
Yesterday was a full day of qualifying and racing in a packed schedule, and today we'll do it all again for the bike classes as the weekend is a double header. Well done to yesterday's bike winners who you can see in yesterday's report and our galleries from Diana and guest photographer Andy Willsheer who has kindly stepped in for an ailing Julian.
Thanks to photojournalist Steve Moxley we have some snippets on the bike classes. Comp Bike racer Graham Dance has had to withdraw due to broken teeth on an oil pump and later discovering a broken gear tooth on his crankshaft. Comp Bike racer John McLean who reached his first ACU final had to change a front wheel following a buckled one as a result of a wheelie in Friday's test day. Funny Bike racer Tony Clark is out with a damaged engine on his machine borrowed from Phil Crossley.
In the Super Street Bike ranks, Thurty Martina from the Netherlands has been suffering from misfire problems with his fuel setup, also we missed Jake Mechaell in the semi final of Super Street Bike, originally a cloud of smoke at the top end had made us fearful that there was mechanical damage, however he reported that a scavenger pump had come loose and there was no damage from that, although other problems prevented his appearance later. In 8.50 Bike, Danny Cockerill celebrated his return to drag racing competition for the first time since 2015 with a win on his bike, a former Pete Field machine. Brad Head also made his class debut with a new bike built for him by the illustrious Jake Mechaell.
