We've just heard over the radio we have been called for the day. It has started raining again, and even the wind turbines are barely visible. We have a gallery of pitside photos from Diana to post, and come back in the morning for hopefully better news.
15:00
A fresh downpour happened in the last hour, now the rain has stopped and the tractor is back out on the track sweeping away the surface water.
12:40
The track crew have been out again with the tractor and sweeper drying the racing surface. In the meantime we have posted the about Williams Bros Racing's new COPO Camaro which is now at the track.
10:05
There is a persistent drizzle so the track equipment remains in the garage and the start of RWYB is delayed.

Good morning and welcome to day one of our coverage of the Mopar Euro Nationals from Santa Pod Raceway. The weather is dry but overnight showers have left a damp surface which is being tended to by the hard-working track crew. The jet track dryer will be brought on track soon to aid the process. The temperature is a cool 15C expected to rise to a maximum of 17F. We'll keep our eye on the radar.
There will be some big news from Williams Bros later in the day but we'll keep schtum as nothing has been announced publicly yet. We can add out congratulations to the team on winning the Best of Show at Dragstalgia for this beautiful Fordson of Phil Oldfield which Dan and Nic restored mechanically and then applied a superb paint job with signwriting by Neil Melliard. Terrific job.
Hi to all Eurodragsterholics who have tuned in. It's another weekend of racing, and each event has its own character. The festival feel of Bug Jam has been replaced by rapidly filling pits with muscle cars courtesy of the Mopar Muscle Association. This year the MMA and Mopar Euro Nationals committee remember Tony Oksien who was a leading owner of muscle cars in the UK and member of the committee. His knowledge and passion for the genre will be greatly missed and a trophy will be awarded in his memory at the Show & Shine.
We have some birthdays we'd like to mark, our fan and good friend from Finland Kai Plathan celebrates today, as does author and retired VP Racing Fuels executive Jim Kelly, and Orange Pop team member and die-hard Derby County supporter Jason Yates. Have a great day all. Thanks to all those who sent messages on your editor's birthday on Wednesday, you can see what he got up to in yesterday's news and gallery.
The track is due to open at 10am so we'll be back then to describe events and bring you the news.
