Colin Millar again ran a big number, 7.2289/186.67 (1.1601 60ft) which backs up his earlier 7.169 for a new Outlaw Anglia record (thanks to Tog for checking). Barry Crookston ran a new PB of 9.1736/135.64, well done Barry! Mick Taylor ran his second consecutive 8.3, and Phil 'Ginner' went 8.5193/157.37 to show his previous 8.45 was a number he can back up. Phil Toppin ran in his Corvette roadster against the Frite of Mark Bull/Stephen Gotz, very close race with the Frite running a 10.8 for its best of the weekend. Dave Mahoney went 9.48/145. Fadster arrived at the startline with repaired gearbox input shaft and went 8.541/146.18 to Gary Parkes' 8.928/133. Then Steve Wright v Andy Park. The little Model Y went first 9.958/133.36 to the Pacer's 11.197/89.98, its first full run, well done Steve and team! Alan Simms and David McCallan next 10.56 to 11.07. Keith Freeman v Geoff Hawksworth, Geoff's slingshot first. Then Mick Hannah with the Haggis Hunter with Roy Wilding in attendance, the paintwork looking amazing. Half pass for Mick and 1.126 to 60ft then off the throttle by half track. That was followed by Robbie Grabham in Freddy's Revenge and Joel Kerr in a rematch. 7.391/193.71 for Joel to 8.23/169 for Robbie.

Chris Hartnell was honouring the memory of Stu Bradbury with a canopy inscription to him. Then Rob Brown v Pete Brown in their respective slingshots, Rob getting there first 8.53/155. Then Brian Watson's early 60s copy with short wheelbase to a 10.250/120 PB ET, well done Brian! Jim Tanner in his blown slingshot against Gary Atkinson's '34 Coupe next, Jim there first 9.88/138. Kevin Whiting's Topolino to a PB 10.91/120, well done Kevin! Next Alan Skipp against Dan Boone in the American Dream injected hemi slingshot - first time out for both this year. PB for the '55 Chevy (GC30) of 11.14 with Keith Williams at the wheel. 12:00 Run What Ya Brung session 1 We don't have complete information for RWYB competitors but Dave Shelley in his red Chevelle got into a serious twitch at the top end and did well to gather it up. Some impressive looking vehicles ran, including an immaculate MG Magnette and a rat rod. We look forward to paired head to head rat rod burnouts like those which happened at Hockenheim a few years ago. After a break for clean-up a patina Nova against a Barracuda fastback was followed by a Watts Shop Roadrunner running a 10.67/125. The '34 of Nic Williams made its track debut to 11.12/122 after a late night gearbox rebuild (thanks to Laurie Bamford) yesterday and cleanup. You'll be able to see pictures of the RWYB runners in our photo gallery which will be posted a couple of hours after racing finishes for the day at 17:30. Great to see Steve Johnson back after a layoff with back problems following a wheelie. More excitement in his first run as the car went more sideways past the Christmas tree than I would have thought possible, and managed to gather it back up to idle down the track. Andy 'Fadster' Hadfield managed to sneak a plug for his air conditioning firm on the commentary screen. Fairly gentle run for him both in terms of smoke and speed. More to come. Keith Freeman ran alongside him. Then Paul Dale on a straight checkout run, of those running, only Joel Kerr has been out so far this year. Gary Parkes had a really soft launch and then off the throttle. Then Alan Simms against Andy Park, both in mid 10s at 120+. Dave McCallan's white truck then made its track debut, a really nice looking piece of machinery. Steve Wright's AMC Pacer with a 509ci engine with 14/71 blower had new transmission components since the Back on Track event, a miniscule leak preventing it from running. Some new cars here, a white Duster for Beverley Tyrell, a lime green one for Paul Singer, and a gold Coronet for Bob Main. All look show quality and a credit to their owners. Also the Watts Shop team has two very smart Challengers one driven by Dave Simcock as well as that for Duncan Watts, both in the mid tens on their first runs this year. Chris Goodale has a beautiful blue '69 Camaro and got a low eleven on his first run with it. John Davison solidly in the tens after a lot of work on his Roadrunner. Shane Bird suffered a hose coming adrift on his run with a huge cloud of smoke. The car slowed and then made a left turn at slow speed as Shane drove into his fluid, but the car narrowly missed the wall and stopped on track. Just seven cars running and four showed for this session, nice to see Williams Bros '55 Chevy (GC1000) making its first competitive run.
