Mattias headed for the centre line again, pulled it away and put the chutes out, only just got away from the line in time
but his chutes took out the top end reflectors.

Fantastic race! Jan with a 0.0083 RT Tree'd Mattias' 0.1101, Mattias with the better sixty 0.9426 to 0.9912 but
Jan was visibly ahead at that point. No shake to speak of. They looked side by side at the eighth, Jan there in 3.9080/192.04 to Mattias' 3.8454/198.43,
Mattias just pulled out the lead in the second half taking it by 0.0611.

Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris visibly moved first 0.1534 to 0.2612, Andreas with the better sixty 0.9934 to Chris' 1.0989. Looked from
here as if Chris was driving through shake from the Tree to about 300 feet, Andreas to the eighth in 4.0761/183.16, Chris there
in 4.3348/166.53 then off the gas and chutes out, Andreas took the stripe by 0.1580. We later got word from co-owner Spencer Tramm
that Chris slowed because the engine had rodded.
Chris Orthodoxou 8.5488/160.74 def. Charlie Ostedt no time DQ
Charlie straight into full stage, up on the revs as Chris went in and then left lighting the big red. Seems to me that
Chris saw the red as he took it relatively easy, 1.3635 to sixty, 5.5331/131.33 at the eighth, went through the gears.
John Tebenham followed with a licencing pass in his Pro Mod, this one scheduled for a full pull.
Again a visibly (relatively) gentle launch, 1.1812 to sixty then the engine note picked up. 4.4362/177.83 at the eighth,
looking good for the licence I'd say.

Micke up on the revs before Jimmy pre-staged, then back off, back up on the revs and the blower plate blew.
That was his race done, so we thought, but a red in Jimmy's lane. 0.9623 to sixty, a move to the right just before
the eighth and off the gas 4.0203/150.58. Clean-up called in Jimmy's lane. Car owner Magnus not convinced about
the redlight I think, currently talking to race officials.

No reverse for Andres after his burnout, pushed back to the start line then on te green idled it down the track. Jan to sixty in

No sign of Caroline. Short burnout for Freddy then edged out of stage without the Tree running, the revs very low on launch. I would imagine that
in Caroline's absence Freddy goes through despite not taking a green... but word from race officials is that there will be a re-run so that
Freddy can formally take a green.

Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris visibly went first 0.1236 to 0.4691, 1.1747 to sixty for Chris with some shake as he got to the Tree,
Paula to sixty in 1.4131. Chris' Duster made a move right but Chris had it covered, a couple of puffs of smoke from the pipes passing
the eighth and it sounded like a couple of pedals in the second half. Smoke from Paula's motor in the shutdown area, safety crews
went for a look and track checked.
John Tebenham followed with a licencing pass in his Pro Mod. Great burnout again, then 1.1472 to sixty, power came in
about 200 feet out and sounded like the tyres started to turn, engine note went up and didn't hear the next gear shift, shut it
off, 9.7059/94.30.

off in the second half. Thickning smoke from Freddy's motor, track checked and all OK.

OCS Group Big Bracket Test and Tune
This is by race number not run order.
Looks like a rear axle failure for Steve Unsworth in the Mustang, motor zinged and both rear wheels collapsed at the hit,
shards of metal on the track. Steve quite unhurt of course, alas the car is in rather more distress. Guy King's Chevelle
threw a pipe, exhaust I am guessing, about 300 feet out and it rolled most of the way down the track before being retrieved by
a spotter. perfect and then some 0.0000 RT for Dave Smith, well done Dave!

Good morning from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the Doorslammers brought
to you in association with John Woolfe Racing.
It's a beautiful day here. It was very misty first thing but the mist has cleared and we have a blue sky with sun and high
cloud, hardly any breeze, we're going to bake.
Today's plan is to bring you reports and results, plus Simon is back to bring you more pit notes, and of course Kirstie, Julian and
DD are out there photographing for the end-day gallery.
No webcast from us today, Santa Pod Raceway are streaming the event on YouTube Live (Santa Pod TV) and Facebook (Santa Pod
Raceway); you can find a link to the YouTube on the Event Index. Please note that the YouTube page will not, of course, show
the live broadcast until it commences so just keep hitting Refresh. In the same way that we would not expect Santa Pod
