The Fuel FCs are running over the quarter mile this weekend.
Steve Ashdown 8.2282/89.43, Jason Phelps 17.4459/71.62; Kevin Chapman shut off, Kevin Kent 7.3960/117.47 bye
Steve to sixty in a very respectable 0.9813, Jason's FC stood up on its rear tyres at the hit and he was off the gas immediately,
idled down the track. Shake started for Steve at 250 feet, then his tyres hourglassed and he was off the gas right on 330 feet.
Cruising through the eighth at 4.1484/134.71 then put the chutes out at the thousand. Burnout worthy of a drift arena for Kevin K.
Kevin C couldn't get back into forward gear after backing up from the burnout, shut it off. Kevin K took the bye,
0.9398 to sixty then a carbon copy of Steve's run as the tyres shook at 250 feet then hourglassed about 300 feet out,
off the gas. Through the eighth in 3.9052/148.50.
Qualifying after this session:
- Kevin Kent 7.3960/117.47

Good morning and welcome to our coverage of Bug Jam brought to you in association with
John Woolfe Racing.
This time yesterday we were all sweating, after thunderstorms overnight and a couple of downpours this morning
we have a damp track. Kind of stands to reason that the nice weather stops when a race event starts. Right now it is cloudy
with a gentle breeze, not raining, and mild. The track crew are out there doing their thing including a jet dryer on
the shutdown area.
The coverage plan today is for reports of the European Nitro Funny Car Series qualifiers which were originally scheduled for
14:30 and 18:15 - everything else today is RWYB - and then a gallery at the end of the day courtesy of Julian and Diana. No pit
notes this weekend as Simon is away, but he will be back in time for the NitrOlympX.
Santa Pod Raceway are providing the webcast this weekend and you can find links to both incarnations on the Event Index.
Queries or comments about the webcast should of course be addressed to Santa Pod and not to us.
Stay tuned, keep an ear on Nitro FM or an eye on the webcast when it commences, and we'll be back with the news when the Funny
Cars fire up.
