The car ran down the guardrail in the shutdown area trailing smoke all the aay. Safety crews sped to Rene's assistance once Brad Jackson had passed. rene taken to the Medical centre to be checked out. On the restart Scott Hauser +0.0080 on dial-in in his race with Pel Norman.

10:55 Comp Eliminator eliminations round 1 Drama in the first pair, which actually would have been a bye as Rene Ehrismann did not show, as George Chiarella's '37 Ford got out of shape coming off the burnout, turned right and nosed into the guardrail about 100 feet out. Start line crew moved instantly and sprinted to George's aid. George OK but taken to the Medical Centre to be checked out as is proper after a head-on. No reverse for Conrad Stanley so crew and start line crew pushed him back to the line. Didn't faze him, a new best for
this car, well done Conrad and team! Also a great pass by Tim Mugridge to take the win, though.

A tiny amount of high cloud but it is not bothering the sun at all, again a gentle tailwind.
