Off the gas about 300 feet out, missed the 330 foot reflector but then crossed the centre line and banged both eighth-mile reflectors. Time trial for Lorcan Parnell after Alan's bye. Great run! 7.0034/173.77 and that was not on full throttle at the top end by the sound of it. Something came off the bike about 200 feet out. 11:45 Comp Bike eliminations round 1 We think a PB for Eddy Smiley in his race with Sean Mills, holeshot win to boot, congratulations Eddy! Shake for Scott Collier and then a "Phut" and a flash of flame from the exhaust, off the gas and pulled over at 1000 feet. Retrieval tok a while, maybe something seized, at this distance not easy to say. Mick Winyard left way before the lights ran in his race with Paul Hambidge.

11:15 Junior Drag Bike qualifying session 2 In the first pair an improvement for Blade Dumer to consolidate his #1 spot. Spin and left turn off the line for Will Pickering, stayed on the throttle and pulled the bike straight, promptly took #1 spot for his troubles.

That's qualifying done, now into eliminations. 10:15 An update from race officials is that save the completion of Junior Drag Bike Q2, today's qualifying has been cancelled. When the track has been sorted we will be going straight into eliminations. 08:05 Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of Race, Rock'n'Ride brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line broadcasting live video and commentary / trackside audio mix so long as the track is open. Thanks to Maikel and our friends at Doyousee.me for streaming services. Some users of the Chrome browser were having problems viewing the webcast yesterday. This is due to a recent update to the Flash player. You either need to enable the Flash plug-in within Chrome, or for a quick fix use Explorer or Edge or Firefox etc for today. This is a race report not Tech Support so that's enough about that, questions and comments about this subject will not be answered, let's get on with the racing. It's a pleasant day here at Santa Pod, sun and low cloud. It rained rather a lot at the end of the day yesterday but the weather changed overnight and the track was 99% dry first thing. Right now the strip is being sledded and maing reassuring squealing noises two tiny patches of the shutdown area are being attended to. The traditional Raceday Good Morning to our US Correspondent Kathy Hileman who is tuned on from New Hampshire, hope you are having a great weekend Kathy.
