Very nice pass it was at the outset. 0.9318 to sixty, 2.4239 to 330 feet, off the gas before then, 3.8574/151.00 at the eighth. Don't know if it was a planned early shut-off but another smooth-looking well-managed pass. Qualifying after this session:

Pulled it back into his lane. Back to Bruno, interviewed on the top end feed, sounded absolutely drained as if he was playing on 33⅓ and not 45. Jimmy to sixty in 1.0194, light shake, 3.9518/189.58 at the eighth. 1.0220 to sixty for David, drove through high-frequency shake, 4.0145/186.25 at the eighth drifting gently left and shut off after the eighth. 12:40 European Nitro Funny Car Series qualifying session 3 (left lane first) Birgitte Bremnes 6.0280/117.34 bye; Kevin Kent 5.1912/147.61, Steve Ashdown 5.1333/150.12 Birgitte rolled the beams very slightly affecting her ET. Looked to drive through light shake, shut off by 330 feet 2.6100. 4.1699/136.40 at the eighth long off the gas. Stev isibly away first 0.1037 to Kevin's 0.1750, Kevin with the better sixty 0.9182 to Steve's 0.9325, both cars' tyres starting to shake and both cars moving left. Steve's tyres hourglassed just past 330 feet 2.4080 and Kevin's car was heading for the guardrail, 2.4188 at 330 feet. Steve off the gas as the FC was almost on the centre line, wrenched it away. Kevin off the gas a moment last and pulled the car away from the rail, looked quite an abrupt turn but Kevin knows his stuff and had it covered. Qualifying after this session:

Micke off the gas voluntarily or not before the stripe and stopped about half way down the shutdown area, the fire crews were there in moments. Small clean-up just past 1000 feet and a longer clean-up in the shutdown area. Micke up to #2. Soft-sounding burnout for Antti, very aggressive on-off burnout for Liam. Fantastic run for Liam! 0.8456 to sixty, no more than routine shake, 2.1936 to 330 feet, 3.1649/260.13 at the eighth, drove it out the back door. 0.8539 to sixty for Antti, tyres started to shake by 330 feet 2.2767, car made a move and Antti shut it off. Magnus left before the lights ran. Michael hit very bad shake then sounded from here as if the transmission gave out, motor stopped about 120 feet out and Michael rolled to a halt under the gantry. I would imagine he is seeing about seventeen gantries right now and each one in a different colour. Great match between Thomas and Simon, Simon visibly away first 0.0282 to 0.0800, Thomas wth the better sixty 0.9718 to Simon's 1.0210, no real sign of shake for either. Improvement for Wayne but stayed in place, Jimmy up to #2. Kev Slyfield shut off for a fuel leak. Jean rolled the beams, hit the gas and had instant shake, flame from the exhausts and the Camaro crossed lanes. Great paired dragster burnouts by Martyn Jones and Daniel Giles. Daniel Giles up from #7 to #4 at +0.0042. Next pair and John Przybyl lost fire on the way back from the burnout, got it re-fired. Meanwhile Laura Turburville shut off for a fluid leak. John took the bye, nice +0.0081 RT and 0.0096 breakout. Breakout for Michael Maderer but gets points for the Nightwish logo on the back window. Congratulations to Johan Oomen on his first six-second pass, 6.9777/195.54. Now for 200 mph eh Johan? Yet another PB for James Oliver, 9.7838 albeit on a 9.85 dial-in which I bet he thought was optimistic, well done James! 07:30 Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the FIA / FIM Main Event brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. No Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcast from us today; Web TV for the rest of the event will be provided by Trakbak Racing and Track Group Europe and you can check that out by clicking here. Anyone contacting us with queries or comments about a webcast with which we have nothing to do should not be suprised at the reception they receive. It's a nice day here at Santa Pod, sun and a little hazy high cloud, gentle breeze and already quite warm. A big Good Morning to all of the Eurodragsterholics especially, as ever, to Kai Plathan and Otto tuned in from Finland and our faithful fan Ivar Kolberg who is tuned in from Norway. We do not yet have the updated running order for today but for one reason and another we lost the whole of Sportsman Q9 yesterday so my guess would be that the Q10 on the original version gets altered to Q9 and that's the only change. Eliminations will be commencing in most Sportsman classes today. Pro sessions are booked in for 10:30 and 14:30. Stay tuned and as soon as the first pair fire up we'll be back with the news.
