Still raining, very wet track, even if the rain stopped now then we would not get it dried in time for the 21:00 curfew so race officials have called a halt for today.

Tune back in a couple of hours for today's gallery and tomorrow's updated running order.

Drama in the first pair as Eric's bike moved towards the left guardrail and then he parted company with it at about 1000 feet. The bike carried on without him for a short while. Eric slid to a halt and immediately sat up to show the safety crews, who were there in moments, that he was OK. It started to rain as safety crews were attending to Eric. Lorcan shut off after the burnout and was pushed back. Dale rode through shake and then had to feather the throttle as the bike went for the centre line, sounded as if the feather disrupted the gear chage routine. Gearhead Garage UK Super Pro ET eliminations round 1

0.0031 RT for Ian Brown in his race with John Przybyl, broke out by 0.0058 but got his seven and the team very happy with that. Longest wheelie I have seen Nick Good pull in his dragster, easily 150 feet and very nicely controlled. Quick sled of the right lane after the race between Austin Jaques and Brian Pateman. Perfect 0.0008 RT for Johan Oomen in his race with Wouter van Leersum, well done Johan! Pel Normal +0.0097 on dial-in in his race with Gordon Northway. Big new PB breakout for Jack Brewster in his race with Brad Jackson. 0.0094 RT for Bob Doyle in his race with Lee Darby. Peter Lane +0.0099 on dial-in in his race with Martyn Jones. No show for Al Didwell for his race with Joe Kellett. Al Golding a no-show for his race with Barry Giles who pulled a 0.0095 RT.

John Gerritsen with the Bel Air fixed after Thursday'a crash put in a checkout pass at the end of the session. 8.3263/111.93.

Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the FIA / FIM European Finals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing.

The plan for today is for the usual real-time reports and results, Simon's pit notes updated throughout the day, and a photo gallery at the end of the day courtesy of Julian, Thaliah Gibb and Diana Macrae.

No webcast from us today; the rest of the event is to be broadcast on the Trakbak Racing / Track Group Europe free High-Def, multi-camera Web TV which you can find at www.livestream.com/SantaPod/eurofinals2017. There is also a link on the Event Index. Our the Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be back at next weekend's NSRA Hot Rod Drags at Shakespeare County Raceway.

Much better start this morning: blue sky and a few clouds, a gentle breeze up the track.

A big Good Morning to all of the Eurodragsterholics, particularly Kai Plathan and Otto who are tuned in from Finland, and Ivar Kolberg tuned in from Norway, but to all of you a big Thank You for your support.

Having finally had the time to do our sums we think that Micke Gullqvist indeed can't be caught for the 2017 FIA European Pro Modified Championship so congratulations to Micke on another title.

We have enquired of Race Director Carole Ismail and we can confirm that the running order remains as published. Gearhead Garage UK Super Pro ET, Modurstang Pro ET, Al's Gasser Super Gas Shootout and Lucas Oil Junior Dragster are done with qualifying and will start their eliminations today, Super Pro ET will open the day. Pro sessions are due at 10:30 and 14:10.

Stay tuned and once the wheels start to turn we'll bring you the news.
