Collin Morrice 0.0060 off the Eurodragster.com Perfect ET Award supporting Bloodwise in winning the Super Comp final. That was good enough but then Tom Hawkins went +0.0043 in winning the Wild Bunch final.

The Pro Stock Bike final was run twice after both bikes' motors quit at the hit at the first attempt. Ian Burns was unable to make the re-run so Len Paget took the bye and the event win. 0.0090 seconds or 9.72 inches between the bikes in the Junior Drag Bike final which was decided on a breakout.

Great race! Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy away first 0.1304 to 0.2223, the better sixty 0.9750 to 0.9918, Andy drove through shake and the Camaro headed left. Andy to the eighth in 3.9720/186.20 getting close to the centre line, Bobby not hanging about at 4.0740/178.39. Andy to the stripe first by 0.3198, race officials had a look at the centre line to make sure that Andy had not crossed it. It was a close thing but from where I was sitting Andy didn't cross. Another PB ET for Bobby, well done Bobby and team!

One cylinder out on the left bank cleared at the hit. 1.0703 to sixty, 4.0665/187.92 at the eighth, gentle swaying all the way down but stayed with it.

Rene away first 0.1684 to Steve's 0.1844. Rene with the better sixty 1.0598 to Steve's 1.0651. Rene's tyre up in smoke about 100 feet out and he had to give it up. Great run for Steve, 4.1337/179.55 to the eighth, slight drift towards the centre line but Steve kept it out of trouble.

Bobby Wallace 6.3152/218.23 def. Kev Slyfield 6.4151/225.52

Kev away first 0.1542 to 0.2183, Kev with the much better sixty 0.9616 to 1.0081. Shake for Kev and he had to pedal about 120 feet out, meabwhile Bobby drove through minor shake and was headed straight down his lan. 4.0953/177.69 to the eighth for Bobby to Kev's 4.2162/174.09, the recovery from the shake gave Kev too much to do and Bobby had him by 0.0358.

Gesticulating to Your Reporter from crew member Al Smith, presumably something to do with the wimpy prawn cocktails, but he unaccountably refused to come up to the office and have a go if he felt hard enough. Big 0.2735 to 0.4377 holeshot for Neil, 1.0766 to sixty to Rene's 1.0805. Rene's bike started to drift left but he stayed with it. Midgo off the gas after 330 feet 2.8217, Rene to 330 feet in 2.8584, the eighth in 4.264/166.52 rolling off the throttle as he got very close indeed to the guardrail. Track crew picking up what we think are shredded belt pieces in Midgo's lane. Or prawns?

Mick out with a broken converter so the bye for Kev who set a new PB speed yesterday. Fantastic run for Kev, blew away his PB ET this time! 0.9930 to sixty, drove through shake as if it were non-existent, 4.0043/182.63 at the eighth then chutes out at 1000 feet, the chutes took out both quarter mile reflectors but no DQ on a bye. Well done Kev and team!

Andy visibly left first 0.2519 to 0.4517 and had the better sixtt 1.0541 to Jean's 1.1221 with big shake as he passed the Tree. A pedal for Andy about 100 feet out then off and running, Jean pedalled too and then his Camaro picked up and looked to be catching up for a moment. 4.4836/172.91 to the eighth for Andy to Jean's 4.5449/171.76, Jean off the gas just before the speed trap, Andy took it by 0.2487.

Bobby Wallace 6.3053/219.04 def. Rick Garrett 13.1560/81.38

Rick away first 0.1836 to 0.2913, 1.1225 to sixty but then bad shake and tyre smoke and a hard left turn, off the gas and wrenched the car away from the rail. 1.0032 to sixty for Bobby, very litle shake to speak of. 4.0937/176.05 to the eighth, straigt down the middle of the lane and new PBs for ET and speed. Well done Bobby and team!

Andy Robinson 6.7026/152.68 bye

Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy and team had a thrash this morning after the car would not start. Ignition system was replaced component by component until it worked. Door popped open in the burnout, Andy's hand appeared through the smoke and pulled it shut in mid-burnout. 1.0133 to sixty, drove through shake, straight line to the eighth in a fantastic 3.9955/176.96 for these conditions then sounded like the next gear refused to engage. Shut off at about 1000 feet.

Gearhead Garage UK Super Pro ET eliminations round 2

Martyn Jones a no-show for his race with John Atkinson. John did his burnout and came back, but then the team reversed him away from the start line without staging which was all he would have had to have done to take the round win. Must have been something pretty serious to pass up even staging, my guess would be oil pressure. Next pair and a great 0.0082 RT for John Przybyl. Two pairs later Billy Everitt shut off on the way back from his burnout, Al Didwell took the bye and used up a lot of his lane in the second half, track check ensued. Burnout of the weekend so far by Ron Bartlett before his race against John Gerritsen. Fantastic win for John! The Chevy started to move around at half track, John put out the chutes and stayed on the throttle and took the race with a 7.0567 on a 7.00 dial-in. Finally John Atkinson came back and staged for his round win.
