Latest update 11:20

Mick Hand's twin cylinder Honda is on display in the pits and will hopefully be making noise on the track today. A lot of the bike is home-made and it ran a best of 9.02 with 305cc barrels.

Colin Fallows will be running two bikes, the Super Cyclops double Norton with Shorrocks supercharger and Bewley two speed gearbox. The bike on the left is a Weslake originally ridden by Ian McCormick Walsh and then by Julian Webb. The Weslake bike is also Shorrocks supercharged with a Norton gearbox. The bikes run mixture of 20% nitro and 80% methanol. Colin said the original nitro percentage was 85% but has been reduced for the sake of parts preservation.

Swedish visitor Leif Ostberg had his 'Sharp Teeth' '65 Barracuda pinstriped in the trade area by Simon of Nefarious Pinstriping, who has scarily realistic $100 notes as his business cards. .

Dennis and Gary Norman have an excellent display with a pull-up photo montage of Dennis, who qualified for the 1970 U.S. Nationals for a field of eight bikes out of 60 bikes. The double Norton 'Norman Conquest' on the right now has a fine flamed colour scheme and Gary made a launch yesterday.

The History Marquee includes the Icarus Drag Bike built in 1975 by Roy Daniel with two 500cc Triumph twins with a supercharger for each engine and a Laycock two speed overdrive as a gearbox driven through a slider clutch. In its heyday it became the fastest bike in England under FIA speed rules, with a 4.67/191.89 for the flying quarter mile. It's now owned by Kevin Fields.

Alistair Henry from County Tyrone has brought his Weslake Balzebob. .

John Hobbs has attended each edition of Dragstalgia since it started in 2011 and the Weslake powered Hobbit has run down into the eights on a regular basis.

This recreation of John Hobbs' earlier Olympus 500cc Triumph, built and run by him as a teenager in 1967, runs impressively. The original bike eventually ran in the nines and took the world 500cc standing start kilometer record in 1968.

Dave Clee's Puma Triumph Shotgun has a 900cc supercharged engine. .

Terry Homan has brought the Drag Waye VW engined bike and we hope to see the historic machine on track.

Terry Homan's other bike, on the Dragstalgia entry list for the first time is Ram Rod 8, originally campaigned by Dennis Allen in 1967, still owned by Dennis today and nicely restored by Terry.

Pip Higham is one of the 2017 inductees into the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame and was delighted. 'I couldn't quite take it in' he said. Pro Stock Bike pioneer Pip is riding the Orient Express for the fourth year running at this event. The Kosman built bike Kawasaki Funnybike was imported by the late Steve Tong into the UK during the early 80s.

Outlaw Anglia racer Merv Barnett has repainted his Pop, formerly called Psychodelic Relic, and has put the car up for sale. The street legal car runs a 327ci Chevy with 4/71 supercharger and Powerglide and has run 10.3/132.

Jonny Grigg's bright coloured '72 Beetle has a NOS 2442cc engine and has run a best of 11.37/118.

Freddy's Revenge owner Dave Grabham took back the controls from son and regular driver Robbie Grabham. The car ran straight on the pass despite twelve inches being taken out of the chassis in order to 'make it look more like a proper altered', Robbie joked.

Arne Kallevik's Slingshot Dragster from Sweden wowed the crowd yesterday with his half track burnouts. The car runs a blown BBC engine.
