Thanks to Steve Wells who probably had quite enough to do but still gotin touch to let us know that he now uses aftermarket block and heads and that the Rover record with that setup is in the mid-sevens and held by Tim Garlick. Both sides of his lane for Steve, stayed with it until the pick-up got close to the centre line.

14:15 Lucas Oil Junior Dragster eliminations round 1 Apologies to the Sportsman ET racers for the qualifying list mix-up just before lunch, which occurred right in the middle of the network problems when Your Reporter was even more than usual things at once. Not really an excuse though so apologies again. Nick Hale in the nine-seond Merc up against reigning Champion Andy Dibley dialled in the same 13.75 as Andy and then it was a battle of nerves to the stripe. Both broke out but Andy by less. Felicity Gibbs +0.0020 on dial-in in her race with Shannon Kiddell. Kirstie not working on the Eurodragster.com team this weekend so can't be fired for a red especially given +0.0051 on dial-in; Pete pulled a 0.0066 RT.

14:05 Lucas Oil Junior Dragster eliminations round 1 Further to what we were saying earlier, something about the conditions today. In the first five pairs everyone broke out, six double breakouts in the end. Great 0.0031 RT from Matthew Dowdy in his race with Joe Holland Villa. Harley Jay Darby's dragster stopped a few feet out in his race with Holley Marshall, I am gussing that Holley realised that Harley Jay was not there and audibly feathered the throttle so as not to break out. Last pair and Adam Bentley's motor stopped, pulled to a halt about 150 feet out... in the other lane Jack Gooding broke out. Sisters' race to end the session, Caitlin and Morgan, Caitlin with one and a bit ambers' head start but went red.

Nostalgia Super Stock qualifying session 4 Very hairy ride for Pete Wells as the Satellite started to move left and right and then crossed lanes. Pete did a great job of holding on to the car as it veered towards the guardrail in the left lane then went right as he tried to stop it. A long trail of fluid clearly visible on the top end camera tells the tale of that one. Great save by Pete. Word on the track radio was trans fluid or coolant, clean-up ensued.

Great side-by-side sevens for Jedd and Colin, consistent with yesterday's runs but neither quicker. Pete closed the session, a good go at the Tree on launch but pulled it back.

A little bit chilly but that will change once the sun gets a bit further up. The flags along the track are not moving but the tips of the wind turbines are travelling at 140 mph so there is some breeze somewhere. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam is back on-line today and will start around 09:15. There is no need to send messages if it has not started by 09:16, any more than there is any need to write and say Thank You if it has started by 09:14. The traditional Raceday Good Morning to our US Correspondent Kathy Hileman who is tuned in from New Hampshire; hope you are having a good weekend Kathy. Hello to SPRC Club Secretary, Chief Starter and all-round top bloke Ian Marshall who is tuned in from home recovering from a back operation last week. A big Good Morning also to all of the Eurodragsterholics with a particular wave to Kai Plathan and Otto in Vehkataipale, Finland, and of course to our #1 coverage fan Ivar Kolberg in Norway.
