18:15 Super Pro ET eliminations round 2 0.0012 RT by Mark Flavell in his race with Colin Millar. Shut off almost immediately afterwards. Laura Turburville kept a good hold on her dragster after it got way out of shape at the eighth in her race with Peter Lane. Rene Meierhofer also had a wiggle at about 330 feet in his race with Scott Hauser. Track checked and quick mop and Billy's clean-up ensued.

17:15 Martin Hill followed SSB with a fantastic 5.2102/294.31 in the Fireforce 5 Jet Dragster, I believe Martin's fastest run ever and right on his PB ET. 3.5532/226.60 at the eighth. And that was shut off early so plenty more left in that dragster. Well done Martin, Richard and Horace! Comp Eliminator qualifying session 9 Andy Frosts's run in this session 6.5923/220.10, I would imagine that Frosty has not stopped smiling since Thursday.

That's Pro qualifying done, and there go all the part-time photographers. 16:50 FIM Europe Top Fuel Bike qualifying session 4 (left lane first) Filipos Papafilippou 7.1770/204.41 bye; Eric Richard 7.7880/169.82 bye; Glenn Borg 8.4415/122.76, Steve Woollatt 15.2331/50.32; Dale Leeks 7.7447/175.08, Stu Crane 8.3821/124.20; Ian King 5.9027/232.87 bye, Rikard Gustafsson shut off 1.1604 to sixty for Fil, 4.7313/162.48 at the eighth, the last gear shift sounded like a jump in, out and in to gear but kept with it and moved up to #5. Eric's front wheel way in the air, 1.1317 to sixty and still up there a couple of hundred feet out, front wheel came down and motor hesitated, Eric shut it off before the eighth 4.9208/125.15. 1.0702 to sixty for Steve with shake, the motor singed about 100 feet out and Steve got off the gas. 1.2089 to sixty for Glenn, hesitation from the motor and off the gas after the eighth 4.9837/119.79 1.1480 to sixty for Dale, 4.9542/146.17 at the eighth then overtaking Stu who had got to sixty in 1.1834 and the eighth in 5.0045/142.18 but the bike got into a speed wobble and Stu shut it off. Rikard's chute deployed after the burnout. Crew were all set to remove it to allow Rikard to run but told to shut off. 1.0168 to sixty for Ian, 3.8773/198.83 at the eighth. Drifted right a little but had it more than covered. Qualifying after this session:
16:40 FIM Europe Supertwin qualifying session 4 (left lane first) Chris Hannam 8.0169/154.16 bye; Roman Sixta 12.0574/68.74, Peter Ceska 9.0495/142.11; Samu Kemppainen 10.3637/84.58, Ronny Aasen 8.2350/116.25 1.1744 to sixty for Cannon, accelerating hard but tyre blackstriping, off the gas just before 330 feet 3.0631 then after a second back on it again but had lost a lot of momentum. 1.1496 to sixty for Roman but the bike was heading left and he had to shut it off, still got close to the guardrail. 1.4559 to sixty for Petr, 5.7574/127.69 at the eighth, up from #7 to #6. 1.1663 to soxty for Smu with the front wheel high in the air, when it came down the rear tyre unliaded and the bike tried to throw him off. 1.1508 to sixty for Ronny, going well to 330 feet 3.0191 then shut it off. Magnus not happy with something, 4.5190/157.22 at the eighth then shut it off and put the chutes out. Fantastic match between Jimmy and Bengt to close the session. Jem's bike stopped sliding at 1000 feet. Jem taken to the Medical Centre to be checked out. Storming 1.2166 sixty from Daniel Donat Lencses, in the other lane a big puff of smoke from Shawn Buttigieg's bike right on the stripe. Track checked and all OK.

Clean looking run for Bertrand, Bish looked and sounded to have problems at mid track, shut off before the stripe. Patrik shut off in the bleach box. Up and down launch for Len, lost momentum there but stayed on the gas all the way. Brief burnout then tyres up in smoke at the hit and shut off. Next pair the final from the Festival of Power which was rained out at the time. Great run for Kevin! 0.9895 to sixty, 3.4334/246.53 at the eighth, on the gas all the way to the stripe. 0.9492 to sixty for Gordon, drive through shake to about 150 feet, off the gas at the eighth 4.0498/154.41. Michael to sixty in 0.9783 and to the eighth in 4.2932/163.67, looked from here to be a trouble-free run. 1.0256 to sixty for Thomas to Magnus' 1.0034 but Magnus' tyres were shaking past the Tree and it visibly lost him a tick. Thomas to the eighth in 4.3489/161.20, Magnus there in 4.3328/163.42. Great match for Bengt and Jimmy, Bengt had the better incrementals to the eighth although Jimmy lastered him on the Tree 0.0443 to 0.1702. Bengt to sixty in 0.9554 to Jimmy's 0.9959, storming eighth for Bengt 4.2148/166.49 to Jimmy's 4.2528/167.61 but then Bengt pedalled a couple of times in the second eighth and shut it off. Ian spotted a detached throttle linkage. Quickly fixed. Engine again sounded to be misfiring on the burnout. Motor was really labouring and the car was plodding, 1.4021 to sixty, Hussein shut it off about 200 feet out and idled through. Jean in pre-stage a long while then Chief Starter Ian Marshall gestured Norbert to go in. Jean away first 0.5395 to 0.5973, Norbert with the better sixty 1.0243 to 1.1136. Jean's Camaro headed right as Norbert's Avenger headed left, both stayed with it and pulled their respective mounts back to the middle of their lanes. Jean to the eighth in 4.5380/166.07 to Norbret's 4.4484/161.33, bang and a puff of smoke then flame from Jean's motor. Safety crews went to Jean's aid. Track checked and all OK. Thomas couldn't get reverse after the burnout and had to be pushed back to the start line, got forward OK. 1.0465 to sixty to Roger's 1.0354, Roger drove through shake. 4.1563/180.54 to the eighth for Thomas to Roger's 4.2625/169.56. Wayne to sixty in 1.2330 with shake, Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris' tyres went up in smoke, pedalled and got to sixty in 1.3848 then the car picked up and went. Wayne's Vette headed towards the centre line and he shut off at about 330 feet. Chris to the eighth in 4.8393/162.51, the Duster visibly accelerating hard. Tyre spin for Marcus at the hit, 1.1435 to sixty, the Vette went to the left and he got off the pedal for a second or so then back on it. 1.0353 to sixty for Kev driving through shake. Marcus to the eighth in 5.4607/156.85 Kev having gone through in 4.2454/174.79, from here it looked as if Kev's chutes did not fully deploy, word on the radio from Angie at the top end "We have a car in the field". Safety crews moved in moments and Kev's car was quickly retrieved. Fantastic run for Michel! Strapped a 0.1397 to 0.3815 holeshot on Johan, 1.0100 to sixty to Johan's 0.9910, 4.0610/180.55 at the eighth to Johan's 4.0022/162.85 but the Old 51 was moving left and right thenmade a violent move left and Johan shut off and put the chutes out. 1.1063 to sicty for David but bad shake and he played no further pasrt in proceedings. 1.0428 to sixty for Bert, straight as you like, 4.1456/176.78 to the eighth and just a touch off his Personal Best. Fantastci match between Micke and Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy! 0.9747 to sixty for Micke to Andy's 0.9669, Micked drove through shake as the Camaro moved to the right, 3.9509/190.46 at the eighth to Andy's 3.9753/183.22. Andy straight down the middle of his lane. Another fantastoc natch to end the session. Bruno to sixty in 0.9797 to Mats' 0.9970, Bruno tried to drive through shake which sent his Vette to the right, a pedal and back on it. 10:40 FIA Top Methanol Dragster qualifying session 3 (left lane first) Rod Harrison 6.9209/159.04, Dave Wilson 5.6958/262.03; Jonny Lagg no time DQ, Chris Polidano 12.0776/84.27 Rod to sixty in 0.9369 to Grumpy's relatively languid 1.1236, Rod drove through shake and his dragster started to weave left and right but he stayed with it until the eighth 4.2310/156.26, then looked to back off to straighten out after the dragster pulled left. Grumpy to the eighth in 3.8716/216.56, looked like all eight lit all the way. Jonny left when Chris' stage light went on, unfortunately looked like a real good run he lost. 10:10 Super Pro ET qualifying session 9 Laura Turburville up from #14 to #8 +0.0044 on dial-in, close to the Eurodragster.com Perfect ET Award in support of NSPCC. Laura was one of the winners of our Lucas Oil team shirt and cap give-away but I guess that (somewhat unusually for someone of her age, grin) she hasn't looked at her mobile phone recently. Peter Lane's transmission fixed but the start line crew still signalled everyone to stand aside from behind the car before he staged. Congratulations to Jack Brewster on a perfect 8.3102 on 8.31 dial-in, takes #1 spot from #11 and is carrying the requisite decals so wins the £125 Eurodragster.com Perfect ET Award in support of NSPCC. Thomas Haas up from #12 to #3 next pair and into the sevens at 7.9910, well done Thomas and team!

09:45 Pro ET qualifying session 9 Last qualifying round for a number of Sportsman classes. James Forster up from #17 to #15 in the second pair. Big wheelie for Dan Williams then the car headed the the centre line, Dan stayed with it as you'd expect but it was a close thing with the line. Annie Wallace's Pop started to wander at the eighth, Annie did the sensible thing and rolled off the throttle.
