Stay tuned. 16:45 Super Street Bike qualifying session 4 Good bit of sun on the track, air has cooled down some, let's see what SSB have for us. Another improvement for Allen Jensen but stayed #9. 200.65 mph (322.91 kmh) for Robert Nilsson, grattis Robert! Improvement for Mathis Bolin good for a move up from #8 to #7. Improvement again for Rudolfo Maduro but stayed #6. Side-by-side 7.0796/203.41 and 7.1265/203.38 for Garry Bowe and Steve Venables, Ven up to #2. Charly Anasgasti into the sevens off the trailer, 7.8510 good for #10. Dave Thomas improved but stayed #12. One more qualifier for SSB in the morning.

Funny Bike qualifying session 4 Excellent run for Allan Davies, good for #2, front wheel didn't look to come down for at least 300 feet. Bike owner Richard Gipp looked quietly satisfied with that one. Nice run for Dave Buttery after the motor quit in Q1. Stuttering run for Fil, gave it up by half track. Lorcan Parnell lost fire after the burnout, climbed off the bike and pushed back.

That's Q3 done, now into Straightliners for an hour. 15:05 Super Street Bike qualifying session 3 Instant spin at the hit for Robert Nilsson, Mathias Bohlin improved but stayed #7. Looked like a PB for Rudolfo, well doen Rudolfo and team! Improvement for Allen Jensen moved him up to #9. Superb 7.1303 to 7.1520 match-up for Garry Bowe and Graham Balchin, Graham up to #2. Ven looked to have problems in the bleach box, crew went running to assist. Whatever it was, it was quickly sorted, up from #5 to #3.

Neil Midgley followed with a checkout pass on Chris Hannam's remaining Supertwin, the newer bike having been sold to Gert-Jan Laseur. Going great guns, 1.2104 to sixty then rear slick started to turn at 330 feet, motor note went up and Midgo feathered the throttle. 9.2935/94.05 at the stripe. Now Straightliners then lunch, Q3 commences 14:30. 13:00 Super Street Bike qualifying session 2 Fantastic run for Robert Nilsson in the first pair, up to #3 and somewhere near a PB I'd imagine, grattis Robert! Mattias Bohlin up to #6 next pair. Nice run off the trailer for Rudolfo Maduro to take #4. 206.23 mph for Garry Bowe in the penultimate pair, getting close to the National speed record. Improvement for Dave Thomas but stayed #11.

12:55 Funny Bike qualifying session 2 Lorcan Parnell into the sixes again, congratulations Lorcan and team! Puff of smoke from the motor right on the stripe but nothing which worried the track crew. Improvements for Allan Davies and Bob Brooks, up to #3 and #2 respectively. Champion-elect Phil Crossley going great guns in the first eighth but had to back off as the bike started to head for the guardrail.

12:50 Comp Bike qualifying session 2 Mick Winyard up to #1 and Martin Walker up to #2 first pair. Second pair of Mark Hope and Margot Schmidt ready to stage and a halt called for what started as spots of rain but then became heavy enough to change the appearance of the racing surface. as usual the track crew did a great job of turning it round. Consistent run for Margot on the restart, in the other lane Mark Hope's front end didn't want to stay down for the first 300 feet or so. Next pair and Eddy Smiley into the sevens and up to #1. Phil leamon close to the centre line in the final run of the session, had to feather the throttle.

09:30 Good morning from Santa Pod Raceway and welcome to our coverage of the Extreme Performance Bike Weekend brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line broadcasting live video and commentary / trackside audio so long as the track is open each day. It's a very pleasant day here at Santa Pod. Blue sky and high cloud, very slightly misty but mild and a very gentle cross-breeze. We have a birthday in Race Control in the person of SPRC International Race Director and Eurodragster.com sponsor Carole Ismail. Have a very Happy Birthday Carole. The plan for today is live reports, results and stats and then a gallery at the end of the day. We will be alternating Championship qualifying with an hour of Straightliners bike RWYB.
