Funny Bike qualifying session 1 Lorcan Parnell into the sixes yesterday and over 200 mph today, 203.49 the first half of an ACU Funny Bike speed record, well done Lorcan and the Storm team! Yet another PB for Stu Crane, well done Stu and the Warpspeed team! Huge cloud of smoke from Bob Brooks' motor, motor carried on running happily and a great ET, word came back from the top end that Bob and the bike were covered in oil. Clean-up ensued. It transpires that the sump exploded, the team are investigating why but Bob is out for the weekend.

08:00 Good morning and welcome to our coverage of the FIA / FIM European Finals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line broadcasting live video and commentary / Nitro FM audio so long as the track is open. With an 09:30 start scheduled today the webcam will go on-line at approximately 09:15-09:20. Thanks to Doyousee.me for the provision of streaming services. It's a beautiful day here at Santa Pod Raceway. Not a cloud in the sky and one of those autumn mists which will have burned off by the time we are ready to go. Today's eagerness award has to go to Junior Dragster racer Thaliah Gibb who appeared through the mist forming an orderly queue of one car at Scrutineering ten minutes before opening time, i.e. 06:50. The plan for today is the usual all-but-real-time race reports with qualifying standings, pit notes from Simon and and end-day gallery from Julian. The commentaries on the race reports may be shorter than usual as Your Reporter is also commentating alongside Colin Theobald. Simon will be keeping us apprised of UK National Championship points when he can today, and tomorrow he will be working out the points in real time so no pit notes tomorrow. Tonight we have the Racers v SPR / SPRC Staff football match in memory of Paula Marshall, Kirstie will be photographing that for us and we will post a gallery as soon as we are able. A big Good Morning to all of the Eurodragsterholics especially our faithful fan Ivar Kolberg who is tuned in from Norway. We had a great day's testing here yesterday, yet another lesson to people not to read weather forecasts. Amongst the highlights were a 6.994 by Belinda Bull in her Comp Eliminator truck, 6.130/230.60 by Tim Garlick in the Apache Nostalgia FC and 6.898 by Lorcan Parnell on the Storm Funny Bike. 2015 UK National Sportsman ET Champion Craig Wright successfully upgraded his licence in Joe Kellett's Super Pro ET dragster, a very competent set of passes resulting in an 8.237 full pass.
