With qualifying done a couple of European Championships are probably decided but we will confirm when the
sums have been double-checked.
If you are reading this at the track then please note that we have postponed the scattering of Ed's ashes
until tomorrow afternoon.

Nice bye for Michael to open the session. 0.9985 to sixty, no sign of shake. 4.2961/164.15 at the eighth,
straight run with smooth gear shifts. Horrible shake for Thomas, the whole car went blurry, shut it off immediately.

Some concern around Wayne's throttle linkage to the bug catcher, shut off before staging.
Andy W off the throttle early in the burnout, the Coupe looked to be shaping up for a hard right turn.
Andy's tyres rattled at the hit and the Coupe took the threatened step to the right, 1.3770 to sixty,
a pedal and back on it. Meanwhile Bobby got to sixty in 1.0379, Andy was pedalling as the Coupe
moved about its lane but stayed with it. Bobby to the eighth in 4.2559/168.95 and another PB at the
stripe, well done Bobby! Improvements for both but both stayed in place. Eurodragster.com sponsor
Chris sounded to have some kind of misfire and shut off after the Tree. 1.0002 to sixty for Rick,
looked from here like a pedal for shake, 4.4549/163.96 at the eighth. Chris on the bump with his
previous best. Norbert away first 0.1216 to Kev's 0.1370 and the much better sixty 0.9785 to Kev's
1.0690, Kev's Thunderbird drifted left with tyres blackstriping. Storming eighth for Norbert 3.9470/185.54
to Kev's 4.4967/155.12, about 1100 feet out there was a huge cloud of smoke from Norbert's motor.
New PB for Norbert (continued thanks to Robin Jackson for PB information) but at what price given
a clean-up in his lane.
Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy R and Freddy shut off for clean-up before they emerged around the
corner. Fantastic run for Andy, the first UK Pro Mod into the fives. Maybe you should leave the country
more often Bob? 0.9698 to sixty, not many shake marks in Andy's lane, stormer at the eighth 3.9141/188.07.
Congratulations Andy, Luke and the team! 1.1941 to sixty for Freddy and then sounded like a misfire and he shut
it off. Roger's tyres didn't light in the burnout. On the green Roger sat on the line for 5.9950 seconds, Marcus
most of the way to the stripe at 1.0793 to sixty and 4.5167/172.89 at the eighth. 1.0635 to sixty for Roger,
close to the centre line at the eighth 4.0372/186.66 and then the Mustang moved to the right and
took out the 934 foot and 1000 foor reflectors DQing his run. Roger pulled it back but the car was
really moving left and right in the last few feet. 6.2171/203.39 came up on the boards but the time
won't stand. 0.9911 to sixty for Mattias, 1.0530 for David, David hit bad shake and the car made a
move to the right, pedalled and then shut off as it wasn't working out. 3.9523/187.29 to the eighth
for Mattias. Bruno and Tero next up, 0.9852 to sixty for Bruno and 1.0347 for Tero, Tero then tried to drive
through shame for about 200 feet but that wasn't happening. Big 3.9137/187.99 at the eighth for Bruno.
Great match between Marc and Micke to end the session, 1.0375 to sixty for Marc who left on Micke
0.0452 to 0.1012, Micke to sixty in 0.9809. 4.0396/188.86 to the eighth for Marc taking a slightly long way round,
the more direct eighth 3.9264/190.24 for Micke.

Johan Lindberg 5.5165/256.70, Leif Andréasson 5.6176/253.39
Danny gets his mojo back in the last knockings, great run! 1.0094 to sixty, drove through a small amount of
shake, FC moved towards the centre line but Danny stayed with it. 3.8266/200.72 at the eighth, close to that line
in the second eighth. Fantastic run for Gareth also and a PB I believe. 0.9663 to sixty, 1.0564 for
Steph, I can't see any shake marks in Gareth's lane and he got to the eighth in 3.7491/200.61, Steph there in
3.9970/189.37. Jürgen Nagel towed back to the pits whilst the final pair ran. Johan away first 0.1131 to Leif's

eighth in 3.6260/207.92 and Leif there in 3.7040/203.86. Both on slight improvements and stayed in place. That was

Grumpy again pushed back from his burnout rather than using reverse. 1.0351 to sixty for Grumpy, no shake
and all candles lit, 3.8951/203.43 at the eighth with tyres gently blackstriping. Fantastic match between our two Maltese heroes!
Chris away first 0.0882 to 0.1067, Manty with the better sixty 0.9044 to Chris' 0.9198, no real sign of shake for either.
Chris with the better eighth 3.5002/221.28 although Manty was not hanging about at 3.5050/214.61. Chris on the first half

right at about 330 feet and Stig shut it off. 3.3890/245.98 to sixty for Micke, the dragster

Good to see Wayne on the track, I was beginning to worry that we wouldn't see him. Hesitation at the hit,
1.2451 to sixty, one cylinder briefly out on the right bank. 5.3073/132.60 to the eighth. Frosty and
Kev in the bleach box then shut off for a shutdown area clean-up in Wayne's lane. Frosty's Vauxhall
almost jumped out of stage, Frosty managed to hold it in deep stage. The looked like tyre shake and
the Vauxhall made a move to the right, 1.2622 to sixty and a puff of smoke from the right bank as Frosty straightened it
out. 1.0609 to sixty for Kev, small amount of shake, 4.2770/170.77 at the eighth, clean run and new PB
speed for this car, well done Kev! 1.0880 to sixty for David with shake, 1.2654 for Andy with tyres already
shaking. Couple of pedals for Andy, Coupe made a move and he shut off. A pedal before the eighth for David,
4.2248/177.00 at the eighth then a couple more pedals in the secod half and smoke from the motor. Half track
burnout by Freddy and I could hear the spectators cheering from inside the office. 1.0212 to sixty for
Freddy, then bad shake and off the gas. 0.9875 to sixty for Roger, drove through shake even though the
Mustang was heading right. 3.9828/186.33 at the eighth with a violent right and left turn but Roger didn't
look to want to get off it for anything. A gutsy drive on a par with Andy Robinson's 6.2 yesterday.
Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris bulbed by the Autostart, car was in pre-stage but didn't edge forwards in
time. 1.0148 to sixty for Norbert, 4.1218/173.07 at the eighth. Straight run with no dramas and a move up
the ladder. Very smoky burnout by Rick, 200 feet or so, very popular with the crowd.
0.9844 to sixty for Rock, 1.0103 for Roger. Both hit shale which moved them towards the centre line, Rick
looked to pedal whilst Roger pulled it back. 4.2516/169.76 to the eighth for Rick and 4.2570/170.19 for Roger.
Saturday greetings to ARRC team member Bob Roberts tuned in from British Columbia. Psychic 0.0047 RT for
Bobby. Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy had the better sixty 0.9623 to 1.0463, shake and a pedal about 200
feet out, 4.0531/178.89 to the eighth. Bobby looked to hit shake and then his tyres were blackstriping,
4.2697/169.05 at the eighth. New PB for Bobby though, well done Bobby and team! Fantastic run for Bruno!
0.9609 to sixty to Tero's 1.0261, really going some at the eighth 3.8874/187.10 to Tero's 4.0621/185.75
which was recorded quite close to the guardrail. Mattias' tyres didn't light on the burnout, didn't hurt though.
0.9926 to sixty to Marcus' 1.0491, drove through a little shake after the Tree and got to the eighth in 3.9453/188.54
to Marcus' 4.1460/169.69. Marc strapped Micke to the Tree 0.0933 to 0.4012, Micke with the better sixty
0.9872 to 1.0330 then Marc lost some time to shake. Micke to the eighth in 3.9594/185.74 to Marc's 4.0433/238.70,

Steph away first 0.4910 to Danny's 1.1235, Steph to sixty in 1.0665 to Danny's quicker 1.0136 but Danny hit
appalling shake and got off the gas before 200 feet. Steph to the eighth in 3.9720/191.19 and one place up the
ladder at the stripe. Gareth visibly away first 0.1392 to Jürgen's 1.0313, 0.9853 to sixty to Jürgen's
1.0313, drove through shake and kept with it. Jürgen's FC drifted left, a pedal and then back on it. 3.8205/198.59
to the eighth for Gareth to Jürgen's 4.0454/179.82 then Gareth's blower belt broke about 1000 feet out and
that was that. 0.9533 to sixty for Leif was good but Johan's 0.9338 was astounding. Both drove through a little
shake. Leif's FC got into a bounce just before the eighth 3.7290/197.11, no such problems for Johan 3.6248/207.63.
All eyes on Leif in the second half as the FC was really bouncing and had all four wheels off four times - the
on-off tyre tracks are clearly visible. Leif got off the gas and kept it shiny side up.

Manty Bugeja no time, Dennis Habermann 9.6026/71.51
Brief burnout for Grumpy, stopped just past the line and pushed back rather than using reverse. 1.0212 to sixty, all
candles lit, no sign of shake. 3.8901/201.47 at the eighth with tyres blackstriping. Jonny waitied a while in pre-stage,
maybe unaware he was on a bye. 0.9919 to sixty feet, 3.7379/211.69 at the eighth, looked like a cylinder out on the
right side but it cleared. Something came off Timo's car after the burnout, from here looked like a cable tie or something
like that. 0.9987 to sixty for Timo, 0.9255 for Chris. Timo with shake got off the throttle about 200 feet out. Chris had
some shake but drove through it, got to the eighth in 3.5718/218.65. One place up the ladder. Manty rolled the beams and

Super Pro ET qualifying session 9
6.8389/214.07 on a 6.74 dial-in for Marck Harteveld although something came off the car right on the stripe, looked
from here like a small piece of body. Close match between Rick Cooke and Paul Marston, Rick there first by 0.0032 seconds
or 9.02 inches; of course it doesn't matter in qualifying but interesting nonetheless. Puffs of smoke from the right side
of Dave Gibbons' motor in the second half. Track checked and fluid found so on hold for clean-up. Dave Gibbons popped up
to see the Track Announcers and confirmed that the motor is toast. "It's only money", he said. On the restart 0.0041 RT
for Dave Catton and +0.0422 on dial-in to go #31 and get himself into the ladder at that point. +0.0454 needed to race
now. Next pair and Johan Oomen moved up from #40 to #17 at +0.0123, into the ladder and making the qualifying criterion
0.0422. Our last pair, Shari Oomen and Nick Good, pulling forward to stage but signalled to shut off. Shutdown area
checked and brief clean-up ensued at the very end of the track.
Super Pro ET have their first round of eliminations this afternoon.

Pro ET qualifying session 9
Jake Handy up from #18 to #5 in the first pair +0.0025. 0.0045 RT for Bob Molden not at all bad for this time of day.
Real drama in the next pair as Eurodragster.com sponsor Nic Williams' car turned hard right in mid-wheelie, crossed lanes
still on two wheels and as it came down got close to Rick McCann in the other lane, Rick took avoiding action. Meanwhile
Nic was still fighting for control of the Camaro with the front end bouncing up and down, clipped the 330-foot reflector,
from here it almost sounded as if the throttle was stuck open. Back in his own lane and the motor started to smoke. Long
trail of fluid in the shutdown area. On the restart Mark Bailey closed the session moving up from #18 to #5.
Pro ET have their first round of eliminations this afternoon.

Good morning and welcome to our coverage of the FIA / FIM European Championship Finals brought to you in association with
Alamo Rent-A-Car.
Today and tomorrow the Trakbak Racing / Trackgroup Europe free High Def multi-camera Web TV briadcast is on-line at
www.santapod.tv.
Dry and mild with some mist here, the end of the track is visible so the mist isn't that bad and it will burn off.
As with yesterday there hints of blue sky behind the cloud. We are scheduled to start at 09:30 with Pro ET Q9 and Super Pro ET
Q9 and then FIA / FIM Q3 is scheduled to commence at 10:30.
A big Thank You to Nev and Libby Mottershead and Andy and Sharon Williamson for hospitality and a late dinner last
night. They had to put up with Your Reporter having his face in his laptop doing yesterday's gallery which was eventually
posted half an hour after midnight.
Our late friend and colleague Ed's widow Kathy has given us a handful of Ed's ashes which we plan to scatter at the far
end of the shutdown area, where Ed used to love to photograph. If you are at the track you will be very welcome to join us.
As things stand we will be doing this half an hour after racing finishes this evening but keep an ear on Nitro FM and the
commentary and we will confirm arrangements. Ed has an appointment before that though as Karsten Andersen of Eurodragster.com
sponsor Landmeco has offered to take him for a ride with Thomas Nataas in
the Andersen Racing Top Fuel Dragster. Thanks very much Karsten!
Stay tuned and as soon as the first pair fires up we'll bring you all the news.
