With the air and track temperature plummeting Race Director Robin Shone has called a halt to qualifying for this
evening, before conditions become dangerous. Qualifying will continue in the morning.
Stay tuned as Simon has another set of pit notes, and we have Roger's gallery to post. The webcam will stay on for a
short while, keep an ear on the audio for the switchover.

Simon has posted a set of pit notes which you can view via the Event Index page.
Martin Hill followed the NFAA Test and Tune with a 6.2076/251.75 in the Fireforce 3 Jet FC. Eric Teboul was next up with
a 5.5509/196.23 on his Rocket Bike. 3.7055/211.74 at the eighth.
Back in to qualifying, Super Comp next up.
18:30
Nostalgia Fuel Altered Association Test and Tune (left lane first):
Adam Gleadow 7.7901/178.53, Joe Bond 6.3052/207.09;
Nick Davies 9.1941/157.40 bye
Fantastic run for Joe. 1.0135 to sixty, 4.0615/176.11 to the eighth, the altered moving left and right but Joe hung
on to it. 1.3047 to sixty for Adam, 5.0554/142.97 to the eighth. Nick's first outing in the Chaos Fuel Altered,
scheduled for 300 feet or so. Tyres up in smoke at the hit, a pedal then back on the gas all the way - that was I think
the straightest run I have seen Chaos make.
18:20
Pro Fuel Shootout qualifying session 2 (left lane first):
Gordon Smith 5.6208/248.08 bye;
Risto Poutiainen 10.8533/67.12, Jari Halinen 12.8894/57.17;
Duncun Micallef 16.6860/64.89 bye
Superb clean run for Gordon. 1.0886 to sixty, straight as you like, no sign of shake. 3,8553/224.75 at the eighth,
shut off at about 1100 feet and chutes opening in the traps. Straight blackstripes right the way down the lane.
Two attempts to start Risto's motor, a huge ball of flame out of the right side as it started for the second time,
probably just the petrol from the primer. Very brief burnout by Risto so as not to keep Jari waiting too long and
his crew did the post-burnout checks very quickly. 0.8907 to sixty for Risto and 0.8804 for Jario, synchronised shake
and tyre smoke and both off the throttle at the same time.
1000-foot licencing pass for Duncun, not participating in the Shootout. Tyres up in smoke at the hit and Duncun
pedalled once and shut off.
Qualifying after this session:
- Risto Poutiainen +12.4763
- Gordon Smith +16.2383
- Jari Halinen +25.6300
18:05
MSA Pro Modified qualifying session 3 (left lane first):
Wayne Nicholson 8.3754/123.89 bye;
Roger Moore 6.9023/209.12, Andy Frost 7.3640/216.88;
Kev Slyfield 7.3007/204.40, Jean Dulamon 7.3007/173.70;
Andy Wright 7.0249/193.87, Graham Ellis no time
1.0774 to sixty for Wayne but as long as the car was under power it was pulling left. A pedal and the 'Vette
went left again and then we saw the right side of the car as Wayne corrected at about the eighth. 4.9869.130.65
at the eighth, already off it at that point. But Wayne is now in the ladder. Nice run for Roger, not much
sign of shake, 1.2889 to sixty and 4.5631/167.29 at the eighth. Tyre shake at the hit for Andy F, a brief pedal
and off he went, 5.0494/161.3 at the eighth. Identical ETs for Kev and Jean. Kev going great guns to begin with,
1.4502 to sixty feet, the Coupe moving around but Kev stayed with it until he had to pedal briefly. 4.8530/156.74 at
at the eighth. Great 1.0812 sixty for Jean, smoke and flame from his exhausts though, 4.6793/153.21 at the eighth and
shu it off a touch early. Eurodragster.com sponsor Graham up on the revs for a long time and eventually left,
just before the Tree ran. 1.1020 to sixty for Andy, 4.5692/154.15 at the eighth, a slight feather of the throttle
in the second half, nice run.
Qualifying after this session:
- Graham Ellis 6.7274/207.99
- Roger Moore 6.9023/209.12
- Andy Wright 7.0249/193.87
- Kev Slyfield 7.3007/204.40
- Jean Dulamon 7.3007/173.70
- Andy Frost 7.3640/216.88
- Wayne Nicholson 8.3754/123.89
- Steve Hall 9.2988/116.09
17:55
Top Fuel Bike qualifying session 2 (left lane first):
Job Heezen 6.5101/211.13 bye;
Steve Woollatt shut off, bye;
Ian King 6.6767/185.88, Rene van den Berg 7.0112/205.22
Fantastic first full pass for Job on Ton and Vincent Pels' Supertwin. 1.2389 to sixty riding through shake, front wheel came down
just before the eighth 4.2907/182.12, some smoke from the motor as Job shut it off. Steve's motor sounded as if it was misfiring during the
burnout, shut it off before returning.
Quick sweep of the track and then Ian and Rene faced off. 1.0826 to sixty for Ian to Rene's 1.1722. Ian's bike squatted down
and went, 4.2986/174.86 at the eighth just after the front wheel touched down. 4.6570/167.95 to the eighth for Rene. Ian looked to shut
off at about 1100 feet, Rene stayed with it but there was a lof of smoke from his motor on the stripe.
Qualifying after this session:
- Job Heezen 6.5101/211.13
- Ian King 6.6767/185.88
- Rene van den Berg 7.0112/205.22
17:40
Top Methanol qualifying session 2 (left lane first):
Danny Bellio 7.1972/130.53 bye;
Chris Polidano 5.6962/267.20, Steph Milam 7.4743/212.91
Danny running in a new chassis hence the early shut-off in session 1. Looked like a few problems getting out of
reverse after the burnout but all sorted with a bit of rocking from the crew. Another nice-looking pass, 1.0116 to
sixty, blackstriping but looked like the minimum of shake. 3.9953/157.37 at the eighth and already shut off at that point.
Next up Steph v Chris, this Chris' first Top Methanol run with someone in the other lane. Great run by Chris, 1.0945 to
sixty, 3.8946/214.93 at the eighth, straight as you like. Chris' 267.20 backed up by his Q1 speed for a new UK speed record,
well done Chris! 1.3564 to sixty for Steph,
5.1201/145.29 at the eighth, a move to the left off the start line but Steph had it covered. Big speed for Steph.
Qualifying after this session:
- Chris Polidano 5.6962/267.20
- Danny Bellio 7.1972/130.53
- Steph Milam 7.4743/212.91
17:25
Super Pro ET qualifying after session 4
Pat Talbot into #1 spot on her second pass back from the team's time out, +0.001, well done Pat, Steve and the guys!
John Atkinson up into #3 in the other lane. This really was Breakout City, this session. 7.7830 PB for Ian Powell, on a
7.87 dial-in but his crew didn't look too
worried about the breakout, nice one Ian! It all comes together for Jayne Kay as she smashes her Personal Best into next
week, 7.4421/182.79, well done Jayne! PB in the next pass too, 7.8612 breakout for Dave Catton on a 7.90 dial-in, well
done Dave! Breakout for Nick Good, too, 6.9530 on a 7.00 dial-in. 0.004 RT for Dave Ward, in the other lane Rod Harrison
went 7.1485 on a 7.35 dial-in. "6.6?" and a smiley face on Martyn Jones' rear wing. Not this time, jumped the beams
as the lights ran and then a brief hesitation. Big move for Norbert Schneider, #19 to #8 in the next pair. Bernard Saz shut off
for a fluid leak next run, a huge puddle under the car after the burnout. Maikel of our streaming service provider
Doyousee.me reported from his grandstand seat that Bernard's
fire extinguisher went off.
Jack Brewster making his first run of the weekend after his starter motor broke, one of Carla Pittau's legendary overnight
trips home sorted that problem as she and Rick just happened to have a new starter back at the Heaven and Hell Racing base.
Scott Hauser into the sevens, breakout 7.9981 on an 8.04 dial-in, meanwhile Jack's Firebird was swayin left and right and
he eventually got off the throttle. Paul Marston in the penultimate run of the session pulled more-than-perfect 8.9500 on an 8.95 dial-in, winning the
Eurodragster.com/Gold RV Perfect ET Award and taking #1 spot, well
done Paul! £50 for the very recently fifty-year-old.
Jim Draper closed Super Pro ET with his first run in the Reckless Rat blown-alcohol altered. Launch and on and
off the throttle, checkout pass.

an alternative route so hopefully all will be OK for the rest of today.

tyres started to smoke. 100-foot burnout by Gordon in the MPM Oil, Marshall and Smokehead FC. Gordon on the line a very
long time before Jari pulled forward, Chief Starter Ian Marshall signalling him to come in. 0.3911 RT for Gordon, -0.1108
for Jari. Both cars' tyres up in smoke at the hit.
Qualifying after this session:

MSA Pro Modified qualifying session 2 (left lane first):
Wayne Nicholson no time, Roger Moore 14.6878/68.49;
Jean Dulamon 7.6573/193.05, Andy Wright 7.2718/177.78;
Andy Frost 8.9035/219.29, Steve Hall 15.8615/56.31;
Graham Ellis 7.5340/208.17, Kev Slyfield 7.3442/203.33
Wayne's 'Vette jumped through the stage beams, he hit the throttle and took off on quite a wild run, the car
getting very close to the guardrail towards the top end. 1.1645 to sixty for Roger but the Viper made a hard move
to the right and he shut it off. 1.3104 to sixty for Jean, 5.1069/146.70 at the eighth, straight pass, flash of flame
from the exhaust as he shut it off. 1.1130 to sixty for Andy W, the Coupe going very straight in the first eighth,
4.5545/144.85 at the eighth and a short pedal as the car made a move. Andy W up to second with that run.
Andy F crept the beams as he spooled the turbo up so not much to be made of the incrementals, but 173.06 mph
at the eighth and check out that huge terminal speed - from a street car! A small bit of shake off the line, but Andy drove through
it and the Vauxhall went straight as you like. Steve's tyres went up in smoke at the hit, a couple of pedals and off it.
Shakefest for both Eurodragster.com sponsor Graham and Kev. 1,1359 to sixty for Kev and 1.2197 for Graham. Kev's Coupe
made a move for the guardrail but he stayed with it. Graham's passenger side door flapped open as he pedalled.

Job's first run on Ton and Vincent Pels' bike. 1.1418 to sixty riding through shake, tyre up in smoke and motor started

Fantastic opener for Chris. 1.0837 to sixty, shake marks between 200 and 300 feet but Chris drove though it.
3.9428/212.59 at the eighth, very straight pass. Well done Chris! I am guessing checkouts fot Steph and Danny.

Super Gas qualifying after session 3
Problem for Martin Curbishley first pair, shut off immediately after launching and pulled over. Fantastic driving job by
Richie Webb in his VW, way out of shape in the second half, calmly put the chute out and got it straight and moved up to #4
into the bargain. Nice one Richie. Great run for Eurodragster.com decal sponsor Paul Foote, up from #11 to #4, everything
come together for the beautiful pick-up. Today's first tilt at the Eurodragster.com/ModUrStang
Perfect Light Award by Stuart Morrice, 0.001 RT. Jon Morton in at #6 in the other lane.

Interesting pass for Paul Jordan, dialled in 10.50 and ran 10.4750 and that was with a long pedal and taking a long
way round. I guess the dial-in will be dropping somewhat next time out. James Hodson into #1 from #8 in the second pair.
Matt Attwood up from #8 to #2 on a re-run after the Christmas Tree bulbed him when he didn't move on the first attempt.

Apologies for the break in webcam service which was caused by a power failure.
The strip is dry and being sledded and from here it looks like finishing touches on the shutdown area. Stay tuned.

Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the Auto Trader Easter Thunderball brought to you
in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.
The Webster Race
Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line and streaming
live video and commentary/Nitro FM until the track closes.
Right now it's a question of the track opening as we had rain and then drizzle overnight. The drizzle has stopped and the track crew
are already out there working hard to get rid of the water.
Your reporter would like to say a big Thank You to the guys at M&S Ambulance Services for their help last night. You've heard
enough of my problems already this weekend so I won't bore you with the details but M&S Ambulance Services, you are the best. Thanks.
Stay tuned and when we have an update about the start of racing we will bring it to you.
