Good evening and welcome to our coverage of the pre-FIA Main Event Test Weekend presented in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.

The first day of testing was a very quiet Run What You Brung with few racers taking to the track. In fact it was such a quiet day that even regular attendee Jeff Thurston was not at Santa Pod. Please let us know you are OK Jeff.

Rather than post a report of the few runs made by racers we have included detailed mouse-over captions on today's photo gallery, which you can check out via the Event Index page.

Tomorrow's Peak Performance Day promises to be better-attended so we will bring you a report and pictures at the end of the day, and the Webster Race Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line as long as the track is open.
