Gary Page 6.2687/223.30 def. Adam Gleadow 9.9154/152.07

Gary's and Adam's were the only cars left still running so they contested the final. 1.0770 to sixty for Gary to Adam's 1.7280, 4.1348/183.19 to the eighth, Gary past the finish line when Adam was at the eighth 6.6635/119.20. Gary first to the stripe by 3.6796.

Roger Moore 10.9270/79.81 bye

Roger unopposed since the other semi-finalist and Eurodragster.com sponsor Graham Ellis didn't take a green in his semi. 1.0524 to sixty feet, slight shake, off it by 330 feet.

Pro Fuel Shootout final

Urs Erbacher 5.0987/274.74 def. Gordon Smith 5.6531/220.36

All done with index runs: Gordon still with a 0.35 head start but first to the finish line wins. 0.1237 RT for Eurodragster.com sponsor Urs to Gordon's 0.2553, 0.9971 to sixty for Gordon to Urs' 0.8886. Urs very quickly reeled Gordon in, but then his motor started to go away, smoke from the headers. 3.7354/224.56 at the eighth for Gordon to Urs' 3.3497/212.44, Urs was already far enough ahead to make it to the stripe first and took the Pro Fuel Shootout by 0.3360.

Top Fuel Bike final

Steve Woollatt 6.3406/218.04 def. Kev Charman 7.3141/205.32

Steve got the jump 0.2038 to 0.3073, the much better sixty foot time 1.1098 to 1.3658, I am guessing that Kev was still running second gear only on Rene's bike. Steve rode through shake from about sixty to about oine hundred feet and got to the eighth 4.1437/178.91 to Kev's 4.9700/166.06, Steve there first by 1.0770.

Another test run for Grumpy and a great pass it was. 1.0511 to sixty feet, 3.8664 at a big 214.72 at the eighth, looked like a cylinder out in the second half but stayed with it all the way.

Steve visibly away first 0.1850 to 0.2008, the much better sixty foot time 1.0876 to 1.3243, Christian's rear slick started to smoke and he stayed with it a remarkably long time before feathering the throttle. Steve rode through shake, got to the eighth in 4.1574/180.25 and went into the final.

Excellent paired burnouts by Terri-Anne and Gary, then it sounded as if one motor was leaning out although from here it was difficult to tell which it was. Both got back OK though so obviously no problem. Superb 0.0677 RT for Terri-Anne, visibly moving before Gary. 1.0440 to sixty for Gary even, 1.5108 for Terri-Ann, Gary had the better eighth going the long way round close to the guardrail 4.1565/176.78 to Terri-Anne's 5.1260/158.49. Terri-Anne shut off after the eighth and Gary at about 1000 feet. Sounded and looked as if Adam was driving through the clutch, lots of dust and engine revs inversely proportional to the movement, clicked off at about 1000 feet.

Martin Hill followed the NFAA with a fantastic 5.8238/278.05 in the Fireforce 3 Jet FC.

This race for #5 and #6, Risto with lane choice took the left lane. Jari got the jump 0.0774 to 0.1358 but Risto had the better sixty foot time 0.8639 to 0.9258, Jari's tyres up in smoke at about 300 feet and he shut off. Risto going great guns at the eighth 3.2094/260.77 and then shut off at about 900 feet.

Shelley Pearson 5.8257/158.53 def. Anita Mäkelä 8.6973/82.57

Shelley with lane choice in the #3 and #4 race, she took the right lane. Anita visibly moved first 0.1897 to 0.3075, and had the better sixty foot time 0.8594 to 0.8626, Anita's tyres went up in smoke at 330 feet and she shut it off. Shelley stayed with it but looked like she was off the gas just before the eighth, 3.3308/213.43, took the win by 2.7538 getting close to the centre line in the second half.

That run looked so effortless, I would say that there is plenty left in the Dealer yet.

Christian's first competitive run on the Black Seven Supertwin and he took the win. Cannon had the advantage off the line 0.2325 to 0.3966 but it was all Christian after that. The better sixty foot 1.1606 to 1.2081 for Cannon who then shut off. The Black Seven machine was flying, 4.5288/154.16 at half track but was drifting towards the centre line so Christian shut it off - I am guessing he realised that Cannon wasn't there.

Kev Charman 7.2878/206.97 def. Shawn Rodman 7.7388/175.07

Kev running in second gear only on this pass. Huge holeshot for Shawn 0.1518 to 0.3033 and the better sixty foot 1.2792 to 1.3787, Kev was starting to reel Shawn in by half track 4.9593/166.70 to Kev's 5.0042/147.12 and took the stripe by 0.2995. Congratulations to Kev on his first win on his first competitive pass, and congratulations to Shawn on getting into the sevens and blasting his Personal Best into next month. Well done guys!

Wild ride for Pete Thompson, staged out of the groove and then a hard left at the hit, DQ'd for going into the refuge but a big thumbs-up for missing the guardrail. New ET and speed records of 7.381 seconds and 183.56 mph for Nigel Payne, already backed up by his qualifiers, well done Nigel!
