Simon has posted the promised pit notes and we have bodged together a gallery with some more of yesterday's shots from
Ed plus some pictures he took in the pits today.
Tune back in the morning and we will bring you all the news from day three (two) of qualifying, which is
due to start at 9:00.
17:40
How many times has this happened - the track dry and the shutdown area not far off and it started to rain so we are
done for today. There is now a possibility of three Pro sessions tomorrow assuming that everything runs smoothly. You
need to be here at 9:00 sharp!
Stay tuned as Simon is working on more pit notes and Ed has some pitside pictures for a gallery.
17:00
It's here!
14:55
It has stopped raining. The plan now is to get the track dried and to hold one cycle of Pro qualifying.
Should the track not be dry by 5:00 or should it be raining again at 5:00 then we will call it a day and
come back tomorrow.
In the meantime, today's news update has been updated with a
report of this morning's press conference with Melanie Troxel, Micke Gullqvist and Keith Bartlett.
Stay tuned.
10:30
Still raining here at Santa Pod. We will have stuff for you soon, though, as Simon is out getting pit notes and Ed is out
photographing in the pits. Melanie Troxel is due to hold a press conference at 11:00 although as you doubtless read in yesterday's
pit notes Eurodragster.com got in first with an interview then. But we will of course have someone there and will let you know
what transpires.
Stay tuned and when we have something for you we'll be right back.
9:10
Not good news here at Santa Pod as it has started to rain. Stay tuned and keep an eye on the webcam and we'll keep you
up to date.
7:45
Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod for our coverage of the FIA Main Event brought to you in association with
American Car Imports.
The Webster Race
Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line and
will be posting a picture every sixty seconds until the track closes on Monday.
It's overcast here but not at all unpleasant. Outside it's 12.3 C and 76% humidity, air pressure is 29.56 inches.
Thanks to Super Pro ET racer John Atkinson and son Tom for alerting us to a mistake in the Super Pro ET
qualifying standings. The problem has been sorted by timekeeper David Anniwell and we have corrected yesterday's
reports manually.
A couple more Hellos this morning. First up is a big Hello to Markus Ek who is tuned in from Sweden, hope you are
having a good day Markus. Hello also to Jon Spoard who has been tuned in all week, and to Alan Williamson who got in
touch yesterday and said nice things about Roger's overhead shots from Thursday. Thanks for writing Alan and glad you
enjoyed the shots.
We are due to start at 9:00 with a seventh cycle of Sportsman qualifying. The Pro qualifying sessions are due
at 10:30 and 14:30. Stay tuned and as soon as the action starts we'll be back.
