As you are aware we have really been struggling with network issues here today. The internet connection
has been dropping out on a frequent basis. Re-starts of routers etc have made no difference. BT claim that
the problem is with the phone line in to Santa Pod and that they will sort it out tomorrow. Diagnostics
tell a different story, to whit a problem with a DNS server. Whatever the problem, hopefully it will be cured
tomorrow and we can go back to the live webcam which seems to be an unqualified hit.
Tune back in the morning and we'll bring you all the news from day three of qualifying.
19:40
Eurodragster.com sponsor Martin Hill rounded out the day with a 6.3588/214.81 in the Fireforce 3 Jet FC,
Martin 'pedalled' the afterburner about sixty feet out then shut off at about 1000 feet.
Stay tuned and we'll have tomorrow's pictures for you in a couple of hours. Thanks for your patience with
the webcam this evening, as soon as things are fixed tomorrow we'll be live again.

Al sounded to have trouble selecting gears, the bike turned hard right and he shut off at about 100 feet.
Tim left before the tree ran. 1.1660 to sixty for Bob, 4.8037/149.61 at the eighth. Consternation as
Robert got off his bike after the burnout but he got straight back on it again when he got back to the
start line. Very short burnout for Kev. Kev rolled the beams before the Tree ran and Robert's motor cut out
at the hit. 1.1509 to sixty for Steve, the bike moved left but he stayed with it, 4.6658/150.05 at the eighth. 1.3516 to sixty for Otto

0.8560 to sixty feet for Jöran, then at about 200 feet his nitro flames went green, then there was a huge ball
of flame from the back of the motor. The motor was still running until the eighth then there was a bang and the blower belt
left the car and landed about 1000 feet out. During the hold for recovery and clean-up it started to rain.
Janne and Micke first on the restart. Janne away first 0.0968 to 0.2068 and had the better sixty foot time 0.9009 to
0.9260. Micke was blackstriping his lane and his header flames briefly turned green but it didn't lead to anything untoward.

1100 feet. Very short burnout for Stig and then a brief blip of the throttle. 0.8826 to sixty feet for Stig and 0.9026 for
Jari, both cars stuck to the track. Stig was off the throttle at about 500 feet and his blower belt flew high into
the air. Jari got to half track in 3.3358/249.38 and then shut off, nothing visibly amiss so maybe a checkout pass.
Fantastic run for Andy, the quickest ever TF pass in Europe. 0.0355 RT, 0.8436 to sixty feet, 3.1021/268.68 at
the eighth, drifted to the right and got very close to the centre line, shut off at about 1200 feet with what looked like a
flash of flame from the motor. The first half of a European ET record for Andy, well done Andy, Per, Karsten and the Lucas Oil / Landmeco team!
0.8665 to sixty for Anita, driving through shake and then having to pedal, 3.6080/170.16 at the eighth, 3.8939/304.84 at 1000 feet, and off the
throttle again. Tremendous match-up between Risto and Urs. 0.8753 to sixty for Risto to Urs' 0.9237,

We're on a five-minute call for drivers to strap back in.
18:00
It has now started to rain quite heavily so we are on hold.
17:45
You have probably noticed that the webcam has been up and down in the last hour or two. The problem
is with the phone line outside Santa Pod. BT have been called to fix it but in the meantime we are running
on a 3G stick so we will have to move to the one-minute webcam. As soon as things are back to normal
we will reinstate the live webcam.
To pick up the one-minute webcam you will need to click on your Browser's Refresh button on the
webcam page.

Wayne sat on the line for a fair while after the green, 1.7736 RT. 1.0523 to sixty for Rolf, 4.2392/170.88 taking the
long way round. Straight run for Wayne, 1.0805 to sixty feet and 4.4980/160.76 at the eighth. Decent out of shape Pro
Mod burnout for Kev, hard right turn at the end of it. Now, could Doctor Evil repeat his six-second pass from testing?
The Zephyr had to be pushed to get it into forward gear after returning from the burnout. Shake and a move to the right
for Kev, 1.1027 to sixty feet, meanwhile Ray's Zephyr got to sixty in 1.0685 but drifted further and further left, getting
quite close the the guardrail. A pedal for Kev, 5.1458/146.74 at the eighth, 4.5852/152.59 at the eighth for Ray taking a
long way round. Bert rolled the beams before the lights ran, lighting the big cherry. 1.0872 to sixty for Roger, 4.4888/167.92.
Superb match between Jean and Henri. Visible holeshot for Jean 0.3010 to 0.5786,
1.0180 to sixty feet for Henri to Jean's 1.0918, 4.1561/176.96 at the eighth to Jean's 4.3387/170.31. A big chunk out of
both racers' PB, well done guys! Jöran just rolled the beams and then sat there with the red lit and the clocks running,
Robert also redlit. 1.0075 to sixty for Robert, 4.1868/167.32 at the eighth,
the car moved left and right and Robert shut it off and put the chute out before the stripe. Jöran eventually nailed it but shut off
by the eighth. 1.0077 to sixty feet for Marc but the tyres were shaking and the car made a big move to the left, very close
to the guardrail and shut off by about 300 feet. Marc should have been up against Patrick Wikström but there has
been no sign of Patrick. First competitive run for Eurodragster.com sponsor Graham after a few test passes on Wednesday,
what would the team make of Wednesday's data? 1.0126 to sixty for Graham to Norbert's 1.0732,
Graham drove through shake and stayed with it as the Cuda made moves left and right, 4.1293/181.38 to the eighth for
Norbert to Graham's 4.2655/166.47. Great first full pass for Graham and a baseline for the next round, close to a PB
for Norbert. Bye for Eurodragster.com sponsor Marco as Melanie troxel's car broke parts during the warm-up. 300-foot
burnout then 0.9958 sixty foot, 4.1253/171.68 at the eighth, sounded like a late shift in the second half but into
#2 spot. Freddy's truck showing little sign of its fire at Hockenheim, just some retouched paint, and Freddy announced his presence with
an eighth-mile burnout. Shake and a hard move to the right for Freddy, 1.0153 to sixty feet, 1.0163 to sixty feet for
Bruno, Freddy almost crossed the centre line just before helf track and even he had to pedal, 4.5691/150.51 whilst
Bruno went straight and got to the eighth in 4.1108/180.96 and into #1 spot at the stripe. Eurodragster.com sponsor
Andy's blower panel blew as he came off the burnout. Adam took a fantastic bye. A storming 0.9795 to sixty feet,
4.0006/179.09 at the eighth and blasting his European PB into next week, taking #1 spot. Big shake and a move to the
left for Roger after a 1.0106 sixty foot to Micke's 1.0012. Roger almost crossed the centre line and shut off.
4.0346/176.98 to the eighth for Micke L (thinking of you Benni) but the Camaro was visibly bouncing in the second half and you could hear
it in the engine note. -0.1150 red light for Mats and 1.1043 sixty foot, into shake and a hard left move and off the throttle.
1.0243 to sixty for Urban, driving through shake, 4.1487/180.39 at the eighth and picking up a lot in the second half.
This weekend's first encounter between the title contenders to close the session. Big visible holeshot for Johan, 1.0276 to sixty
feet then shake and he shut off. 0.9975 to sixty for Micke, driving through shake, 3.9886/186.21 at the
eighth, moving all over his lane but still taking #1 spot.

We had a hold for oil clean-up and then it started to rain. On the re-start a big breakout for Paula Atkin,
7.6382 on a 7.98 dial-in, that was her first full pass in the car. Next up was Brtendan Clancy, great to see
him back after yesterday's fire. Only scorched bodywork betrays what happened, and in at #30.

Pro ET have been called to the lanes.
12:00
The rain finally stopped and the track crew have got the racing surface pretty much dry save for the edges. As ever
it is the shutdown area which needs the most attention. Stay tuned and we'll let you know when we're somewhere near.
10:00
Usual story, the track was starting to look dry and then a downpour came in. Stay tuned.
08:25
Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the FIA European Finals brought to you in
association with American Car Imports.
The Webster Race
Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line
and will be streaming live video and trackside audio until the track closes.
We had some heavy rain in the small hours, either that or someone tipped a bucket of ball bearings on the roof
of the caravan. The track was pretty wet but the crew have been hard at work getting it dried. Trackside conditions
are 14.7 C, 98% humidity and air pressure of 29.68 inches.
We were due to start at 09:00 with Sportsman qualifying cycle five but I am guessing that we won't quite make that.
We have two Pro sessions scheduled today, at 10:30 and 14:30.
Stay tuned and when we have a revised schedule or when the wheels start to turn we will be back with all the news.
