Super Street Bike eliminations round 3 Dave Smith is going to miss out on backing up his 203.30 earlier but still holds the speed record of 199.68 mph as things stand. The way things stand with the SSB Championship is that Ven would have to win and set a new speed record to take the title, but Ven's fastest speed of this weekend of 196.23 will not back up anything faster than 198.21, and the speed record is of course now 199.68 courtesy of Dave Smith. But we'll double-check the maths before the final.

Funny Bike eliminations round 2 Kev Charman staged and took the green. Steve French still leads the Championship, Kev would have to win the event and set ET and speed records to win the title. Back into Straightliners/RWYB and then lunch, I would imagine that the next round of eliminations which was scheduled for 14:00 will be nearer 14:30 but stay tuned. 13:20 Super Street Bike eliminations round 2 Fantastic run for Dave Smith, the fastest ever SSB speed in the UK and the first 200 mph SSB run here at Santa Pod (Dave also having run the UK's first-ever 200 mph SSB run at Shakespeare County), followed by the quickest-ever ET in UK SSB by Ven, well done guys! Ven's 7.287 is backed up, Dave's 203.30 isn't yet.

We're now into another Straightliners/RWYB session. The running order has the next round of eliminations at 12:20 but we are running a bit behind as we had a clean-up during Super Street Bike. Stay tuned. 11:45 Super Street Bike eliminations round 1 Congratulations to Wayne Saunders on setting a new Super Street Bike speed record of 199.64 mph backed up by his 198.12 in qualifying, as well as a new PB ET. Wayne's speed record lasted all of two pairs as Dave Smith took it back off him with a 199.68 backed up by his earlier 198.81, well done Dave! We think a PB or close to it for Richard Hann in his victory against Dave Holland, if so then well done Richard! Last pair and congratulations to Steve Venables on the first 7.2-second pass in Super Street Bike, his 7.289 good for a new ET record since it is backed up by his 7.311 in qualifying. What a session that was!

08:35 Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the Extreme Performance Bike Weekend brought to you in association with American Car Imports. The Webster Race Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line and streaming live video and trackside audio. The cloud and mist never burned off yesterday but it's a different story today - the sun is already visible through the cloud and is doing a good job of burning the mist off. It's going to be a lovely day which promises a lot because yesterday's stellar performances in all classes - including new speed records in Super Street Bike and Supertwin Gas and a whole bunch of Personal Bests - were recorded on what was a pretty cold track so give it a bit of warmth today and who knows what could happen. On the subject of performances, thanks to Straightliners timekeeper Martyn Greathead who has given us a list of yesterday's best times and speeds. You can check out the Straightliners numbers via the Event Index page. The traditional Raceday hello to our US Correspondents Ed O'Connell and Kathy Hileman who are tuned in from Rye, NH. Hope you are having a great weekend guys and hope you are enjoying the coverage. We are due to start at 9:00 with an extra qualifying session for ACU, UK National and NAST Championship classes.
