Peak Performance Day

	Real Steel Street Eliminator racer Ray Comer ran in the Street Racer Series today and got into the nines.		Dave Smith got into the mid-sevens on his Super Street Bike.
	Becca West celebrated her eleventh birthday with a day in one of Santa Pod Raceway's Junior Dragsters.		Paul Thomas got into the eights so maybe the Pro ET number needs to change to Super Pro ET.
	Pro ET racer Gino Bernadine is a regular Test Day runner.		Nigel Holland put the camera down for a day to test his Sportsman ET Mustang.
	It was good to see Lance Richards back with his Pro ET Capri.		Earlier on today we intimated that Tommy Leindahl may be sandbagging before next weekend's Pro Stock action but he laid down a six-second pass at the end of the day.
	Micke Kågered laid down two launches in the Bahco Tools Top Fueller, the second launch shook the chutes out.		It was almost a carbon copy of what happened at this event last year, Urban Johansson is changing his Pro Mod's engine for tomorrow after a valve hit a piston today.
	Richard Henry of the Fireforce Jet FC team was taken for a seven-second passenger ride by Steve Warner.		Pro ET racer Dave James made several runs and went as quick as 9.3271.
	Mark Perkins' rear tyres smoked at the hit on several runs but he had it sorted by the end of the day.		Steve Bolton got his money's worth testing for next week's tough Pro ET field with several passes all of which featured big wheelstands.
	Roger Johansson's Pro Mod was for a while the quickest vehicle on the facility with a 6.4023.		There were only a few FIM/UEM racers testing today and Richard Gipp was one on his Pro Stock Bike.
	The Lindahl brothers' new Camaro Pro Mod looks just great and you wouldn't mess with it.		Shaun Branch's Funny Bike looks good in its new colours.
	Tim Garlick makes 7.6-second Super Modified passes look easy.		John Tebenham's Comp Eliminator Probe is also sporting new paint.
	Steve Venables' Super Street Bike was recording big speeds even into the fierce headwind.		A welcome Pro ET return for Laurie Bamford and it's like he was never away.
	Henri Joosten put his Pro Mod's chutes out at half track.		Mats Eriksson's Pro Mod is quickest and fastest on the facility this weekend but some deft braking prevented the record for going into the field at the end of the track.
	Dave and Sarah Day were working on four-link adjustments on their Super Comp/Super Gas roadster.		The Andersen Racing Top Fueller is this year shoed by Andy Carter and carries Lucas Oil and Landmeco colours.
	Craig Gibbs ran into the sevens again in the Obsession Super Mod.		Dan Larsen's Top Methanol FC ran into the fives off the trailer.
	Super Comp/Super Gas racer Malcolm Francis broke out just a little bit with passes in the 7.7s.		Michael Malmgren's new GTO Pro Stock is a very good-looking piece.
	Joe Kellett was running consistent 9.1s in his Drummin' Man Junior Modified Dragster.		We understand that Timo Habermann may be driving the family's Comp Eliminator dragster as well as their Top Methanol Dragster tomorrow.
	Vince Gibbs made his first outing in Ray Eldred's Sanity Assassin Super Pro ET Firebird.		Super Pro ET racer Paula Atkin ran into the 7.6s at over 170 mph on a wheelbase of about three feet.
	Martin Curbishley ran within a fag paper of both the Super Comp and Super Gas indexes despite having Spencer Tramm on his crew.		Jeff Meads was concentrating on the first half of the track today but couldn't resist a full pass at the end of the day and stayed with it despite the wibbly-wobblies.
	Ian Jackson's RSSE 'Vette ran into the eights even with pedalsl for wheelspin.		Pro Mod racer Micke Gullquist carried on down the track after this burnout, we guess he didn't get reverse.
	The Morrice family's Camaro was set for Super Comp today and Stuart ran some very good 8.9s.		Stefan Iwanowitsch put in an eight-second pass on his Supertwin.
	Andy Carter's rear slicks went egg-shaped at the hit on his second run of the day and left egg timer-shaped marks on the track.		Mark Bishop made his first outing in his new Pro ET altered.
