You know something funny is going on when the guy who co-ordinates the Pro ET #1 qualifier awards is the guy leading Pro ET. Carl Burton is a mere +0.0010 on dial-in to lead a huge field. Billy Gane's Pro ET Vauxhall Victor has been around forever and still looks immaculate. Dave Catton took the Super Comp lead with the very last run of qualifying session 4. Switzerland's Noah Stutz had Urs Erbacher's Reality TV crew filming his Junior Dragster qualifying runs yesterday. Street Eliminator racer Jason Weir stormed into the eights during yesterday's Comp Eliminator qualifying. This is Kim Bishop's first competitive outing in Pro ET although he has been running his Willys at Run What You Brungs for several years. Barry Giles and Mich Hartley are £125 better off after taking the Eurodragster.com / LA Racing Parts Perfect ET Award in Super Pro ET qualifying. Mark Watkins leads Super Street after taking the pole in the first pairing of the seventh qualifying session. Matt Attwood saw Roger's wheelie picture from the Bug Jam and thought it was time to add wheelie bars to his VW Fastback which is running in Sportsman ET this weekend. Al Platt and Ian Jackson had a side-by-side late-model Camaro head-to-head in Sportsman ET qualifying. Marck Harteveld came all the way from Holland and went into the 8.9s off the trailer in Super Comp qualifying. Pete Cresswell ran the second of today's two perfect Super Gas qualifying passes. Ful Lievaart is another racer to make the trip from Holland and is contesting Pro ET. Jon Morton is fourth in both Super Comp and Super Gas qualifying at the end of day one. Simon Cooper took fifth place in Super Street qualifying in today's seventh qualifying session. Steve Phillips tested here last weekend and leads Sportsman ET qualifying. Spencer Tramm has done a lot of work to get his fellow racers into Comp Eliminator. He is also running in Super Pro ET. Vince Gibbs laid down a mid-seven in Ray Aldred's very tidy Super Pro ET Firebird. Nigel Payne usually races heads-up and flat-out in Super Modified but is doing a great job of running right on dial-in in Super Pro ET. Werner Zudrell hails from Austria and is comfortably in the 9.9s in Super Gas qualifying. Andy Frost is currently second in Comp Eliminator qualifying deep into the sevens and -0.0770 on index.
