Lance Richards and Keith Ridley rounded the day off for the cars at 9.777/140.67 and 10.388/131.97 respectively.

Steve Knapp and Dave Bailey matched up, Dave getting there first 9.042/165.35 to Steve's 9.440/149.92. Finally the Performance Bike journalist on Mark Fisher's bike clocked 10.825/145.14.

Freddy Fagerström has laid down another one here at Santa Pod, 0.071 RT, 1.045 to sixty feet, slight shake from 100 to 300 feet, 4.147/175.14 at half track and 6.364/220.60 at the stripe. In the very hot conditions here that was quite something.

A little less luck for Roger Johansson, 1.097 to sixty feet and then shake at about 150 feet, the Mustang moved to the right and Roger got off the throttle, 8.609 at the stripe.

Lance Richards turned round very quickly for another pass, 9.796/140.67, Mark O'Halloran's Super Gasser turned hard right at 300 feet or so and he got off the throttle.

On two wheels, Dave Bailey clocked 9.003/165.03 and Mark Fisher 8.208/173.17. Sandra Chaplain ran 9.354/149.91 on her latest run and Steve Knapp 9.539/150.05. John Floyd's latest run was a 9.493/136.83 and Andy Newcombe clocked 9.425/165.42.

Andy Williams and Keith Ridley matched up, the Pro tree in Andy's favour and Andy clocked 8.862/158.91 to Keith's 10.370/131.92. Lance Richards made his first run of the day, 9.689/140.66.

On two wheels John Floyd recorded 9.394/137.16 on his Supertwin, whilst Paul Wstson got on Ian Berry's 9.50 Bike and clocked 9.246/154.11. Dave Bailey's latest pass was yet another 9.1 at 9.192/157.89 whilst Andy Newcombe turned the wick up a little with a 9.739/160.21 and Steve Knapp clocked 9.556/149.60.

15:15

Roger Johansson aborted his latest Pro Mod pass very early, clocking 1.047 to sixty feet but then hitting very bad shake and idling through to a 10.094/76.78.

A big improvement from Ian Berry on his 9.50 Bike, 9.589/150.05. Andy Newcombe followed with a 10.643/134.69, his bike sounded as if it were hesitating a little. Dave Bailey's latest run of the day was another 9.1, 9.160/164.20. Mark Fisher appeared to have gear selection problems on his pass of 9.396/128.47. Carl Atkinson and Sandra Chaplain then matched up, Carl getting there first 9.850/142.01 to Sandra's 9.745/134.71.

Nick Griffin's crewman Gavin went head-to-head with Vic Amato, Gavin clocking 12.936/109.47 to Vic's 10.216/133.15 from the Pro ET Mustang. Fellow Pro ET racer Jack Brewster followed with a 9.638/142.53.

John Parkinson's latest full pass in the TMD was a 7.557/151.04, the car was a little out of shape and started bouncing towards the top end but John had it all under control and has been awarded his TMD licence.

On two wheels, Dave Bailey clocked 9.107/162.91 on his street 'Busa whilst Ian Berry had a much better launch on his 9.50 Bike and ran 10.202/140.67. Carl Atkinson was next up with a 10.014/141.48 and Steve Knapp 9.530/149.49. The journalist on Mark Fisher's SSB improved to a 10.677/143.42.

Back to four wheels and Mark O'Halloran clocked 10.008/137.15 in his Super Gasser.

Roger Johansson kicked off the afternoon session on behalf of the racers with a 7.035/130.88 in the MSS Pro Mod. Roger clocked 1.065 at sixty feet, 4.288/174.41 at half track and then put the chutes out by about 900 feet.

Andy Williams followed with a 9.064/157.92 in the Wild Child Super Comp dragster, and then Lloyd's Dodge clocked 11.447/117.50. Next up was Keith Ridley with a 10.388/131.27.

Mark Fisher's Super Street Bike appeared again only this time with a journalist from Performance Bike magazine in the saddle. The journo clocked 11.205/126.45, not bad for his first time on an SSB and certainly better than I would have done.

Andy Newcombe put in a 10.061/52.10 on his second run of the day whilst Dave Bailey was back in the 9.1s with a 9.156/164.28 on his latest pass. Steve Knapp and Carl Atkinson went head-to-head, 9.433/149.92 for Steve to Carl's 9.836/140.24.

John Floyd's first pass of the day was a 9.425/138.32, next up was Sandra Chaplain on her Comp Bike, 8.505/155.21 on her first run of the day.

12:40

Freddy Fagerström's first run of the day was another stormer, 6.358/221.67. Freddy clocked 1.071 to sixty feet, 4.152/177.06 to half track. He drove through shake from about 120 to 200 feet and the truck went relatively straight.

Roger Johansson followed on, a 100-foot burnout but was then shut off dropping oil on the start line.

Super Gas racer Mark O'Halloran clocked a nice 9.914/138.13. As we suspected...OK, knew but we were sworn to secrecy...Paul Watson had a plan behind his drive of Grumpy's Dodge. He appeared in the collection area with Crew Chief Pixie strapped into the passenger seat and took her for a 10.410/135.36 passenger ride.

11:50

Roger Johansson's first pass of the day in the Molndal Speed Shop Pro Mod was aborted at about 250 feet when the Mustang hit violent shake and headed for the guardrail. Roger clocked 1.062 to sixty feet and 10.235/81.38 at the stripe.

John Parkinson's first full pass in the Every Penny Top Methanol Dragster was a 7.607/171.03. It sounded as if John was feathering the throttle very slighty and the car went for a wander in the shutdown area.

Eurodragster.com Home and News sponsor Paul Watson has taken a turn driving the Grumpy's Dodge Super Gasser, which he used to own. It was like Paul had never been away, a great burnout and superb 9.779/136.83. Also representing DynoSpeed Developments is 9.50 Bike racer Ian Berry whose 'Busa bogged off the line but then picked up, 12.422/140.18, his second run was the sams story, bog off the line then 12,524/122.92.

Also on two wheels, Andy Newcombe has some very nice-looking new bodywork on his Riceburner Comp Bike, his first run today a 10.211/148.55. Carl Atkinson clocked 9.938/140.69 on his latest pass whilst fellow 9.50 Bike racer Steve Knapp opened today's account with an 9.490/151.60. Super Street Bike racer Mark Fisher clocked 8.484/168.54 on his first run of the day whilst Dave Bailey's third pass today was a 9.328/164.35.

Martin Moore's first run of the day was an 11.797/114.46 without the blue bottle, Keith Ridley improved to a 10.266/133.17 and Jack Brewster kicked off his Sunday with a 9.481/144.16. The very tidy Lloyd's Dodge clocked 11.577/117.79 on its second run of the day, and just as we went to post this update Nick Griffin's Chevelle appeared with a huge L on the back windscreen and Nick outside the car. Crewman Gavin was driving the car and put in a very nice 13.637/98.90. Vic Amato followed up with a 0.001 reaction and a 10.176/133.89.

Junior Dragster racer Andy Herron's first run of today was a 14.043/42.33 with a 0.093 RT.

11:00

Dave Bailey's second run of the day on his street 'Busa was a cracking 9.135/166.00. Dave again has the nitrous wizard Trev Langfield in attendance today. Also on two wheels Carl Atkinson clocked 10.002/139.79.

Andy Williams got a bit closer to Super Comp numbers with an 8.788/159.00 whilst Pro ET racer Vic Amato's first run of the day was a very nice 10.179/134.28.

Roger Johansson and John Parkinson are in the pairing lanes, stay tuned.

First out this morning was 9.50 Bike racer Carl Atkinson, his first run of the day a 9.895/142.47. Also on two wheels, Funny Bike racer Dave Bailey is on his street 'Busa today and his first run of the day was a 9.915/141.56.

On four wheels, first out for the racers was Keith Ridley in his Pro ET Escort, a 10.274/133.15 his first run of the day. Also running this morning is a very nice Dodge Satellite carrying Super Stock numbers, named "Lloyd's Dodge". The Satellite clocked 11.313/119.00 on its first run of the day.

Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway. It's the second day of the pre-FIA European Finals test weekend and we're here to bring you all the news in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and is broadcasting a picture every two minutes.

It is a beautiful morning here at Santa Pod. The sun is burning off the early mist and it is going to be very hot and sunny.

A big Hello to our good friend Gittli Koller who we know is tuned in this morning, hope you are having a good day Gittli.

From our vantage point in Race Control I can see John Parkinson and his Top Methanol Dragster team already working on the car preparatory to his full licencing pass. Roger Johansson's Crew Chief has been out on the start line checking out each lane so I guess that means we are in for some Pro Mod action today! Sharkman is about to take a stroll around the pits and will report in on the other race vehicles he finds amongst the Run What You Brungers.

The track will be opening in a minute or two, stay tuned.
