The rain hasn't gone away so the event has been called without a wheel turning. The track crew were out on the track drying every time the rain stopped, but it kept coming back and we've now passed the cut-off point for getting the track dried in time.
So that, unfortunately, is the end of our coverage of the pre-Main Event testing.
Thanks for their help this weekend to Kjell Pettersson, Darren Prentice, Steve Horn, Ian Marshall and the start line crew, Bob Day and the safety crew, Martin Wallis, Roger Gorringe, David Lloyd-Jones, and all of the racers who gave us permission to publish their times and speeds yesterday.
Our next event coverage will be from this Wednesday's FIA Main Event Press Day here at Santa Pod Raceway.

Good afternoon and welcome back to Santa Pod for the second day of our pre-Main Event testing coverage, brought to you in association with American Car Imports.
Unfortunately not a wheel has turned yet here at Santa Pod...apart from the wheels of the track dryers. It is not a very nice day at all. Overnight rain made the track damp and although the track itself was looking good by about 10:30 this morning, the shutdown area was taking some drying and then guess what happened anyway...a downpour of biblical proportions. We have actually been relatively lucky since a couple more bad storms have skirted SPR. Right now the track surface again is dry, the shutdown area is looking close, so hopefully we'll be able to get going soon.
Kim Reymond and his crew are on their way back to Denmark this morning. Just before he left the track, Kim told us that they were very happy indeed with yesterday's pass. The engine was fine, no problems at all. "It gave us a good baseline for next weekend", he said. Kim said that the car started to move about at the top end so he got off the throttle about 150 feet before the finish line.
Andy Robinson told us that he and his team are looking to put one down today. The car has been shaking off the start line but Andy says that they are getting on top of it.
Ricky Emms is here to test in his Junior Modified dragster. Dad Chris said that they torched a head at the Speedfreaks Ball. "We have got a completely new tune-up from Phil McGee in the USA", he said.
Keith Ridley is planning to switch on the nitrous today. Keith's Reliant Scimitar has a self-designed turbo V6. "I've not been in competition since the days of Street and Pro Euro", said Keith. Keith is expecting the car to lift the front wheels when the nitrous is on. We had news for him - it was doing it without the nitrous yesterday.
Super Comp racer Colin Aldred was very pleased with his day's testing yesterday. "The private test was great value for money", he said. The Classy Chassis team are happy with the car's new diff, and are now working on the car's tendency to hook right off the line. Some weight is also going on the front end to stop the wheelstands.
Since we started to type this update the hevans have opened and the track is underwater again. Stay tuned and we'll let you know what happens.
