Maja away first 0.0846 to 0.0927, Anita with the better sixty by a squeak 0.8721 to Maja's 0.8722, Maja with the better 330 foot 2.1787/322.58 to Anita's 2.1962/311.78. Smoke started from Anita's motor before the eighth, Maja's tyres started to blackstripe from 330 feet and the dragster started to move right. Maja ahead at the eighth 3.0752/452.64 to Anita's 3.1105/449.25 with a lot of smoke from the motor, Maja off the gas before the thousand with smoke too, Anita on the gas a little longer but Maja had the momentum.

Roger got the jump 0.0189 to Micke's 0.0472, Micke to sixty in 0.9751, no sign of shake, Roger to sixty in 1.0056. Approaching the eighth Roger's Mustang was heading left, Micke vsibly moving faster at the eighth 3.8454/314.32 to Roger's 3.9946/306.64, Roger close to the rail int he second half and rolled off the gas.

Robin got away first 0.0348 to Jimmy's 0.0537, Jimmy had the better sixty 0.9819 to Robin's 1.0061 and the better eighth 4.2552/263.67 to Robin's 4.2629/268.12 but his motor note dropped past the eighth, Robin had 7 kmh on Jimmy at the thousand and overhauled him.

300-foot burnout for Sandrooo, very brief squirt of a burnout for Jonny. Sandro had the better RT 0.0774 to Jonny's 0.1148, Jonny with a cylinder out on the left side from the hit, Sandro with no such problems to sixty in 0.9598 to Jonny's 1.0004, Jonny had cylinders out on both sides by the eighth 3.7505/336.24, Sandro visibly ahead at the eighth 3.6427/340.05. Mop-and-Billys clean-up in Jonny's lane then the tractor called to sled.

Thick smoke from Jndia's motor and off the gas just before the stripe, Maja's car started to head for the centre line but she held on to it. Safety crews chased Jndia down the shutdown area, soon returned to station. New European ET record for Maja, well done Maja, Rune and team!

That was obviously a very big bang for Liam last round, didn't make the call. Would Anita go for lane choice? If so she would need a new European record to get it. Sixty in 0.8438, 330 feet in 2.1824/301.34 then smoke from the motor, 3.2108/359.28 at the eighth and the car made a move left then right, more smoke and off the gas. Track crew doing the dreaded straddle between the thousand and the quarter and Berrymans trailer called to the top end.

A belt came off Jan's motor during the burnout, either oil pump or vacuum pump. Jan shut off and pushed back. Roger took the bye, 1.0006 to sixty, 3.9378/308.57 at the eighth, getting close to the wall in the second half and chutes along time coming in the shutdown area.

Dmitry and team had a thrash to make it after the kitty litter excursion last round, the body especially badly damaged but patched back together. Dmitry visibly moved first 0.0058 to 0.0954, then a phut from Dmitry's motor and that was his race done. David to sixty in 1.0124 abd the eighth in 3.8694/315.05 but then the blower panel let go in the second half, chutes out way before the stripe.

Linn edged out of stage going up on the revs. Micke to sixty in 1.0303, no sign of shake, 3.8811/318.58 at the eighth.

Sandro to sixty in 0.9388 and the car was visibly accelerating hard towards the eighth 3.6354/338.13, Ari had lost time to the shake, through the eighth in 3.9866/308.57 then looked to shut it off before ths stripe.

Jonny Lagg 5.3603/424.86 bye

#1 qualifier bye for Jonny. 0.9524 to sixty, slight move right and left. 2.4545/263.16 to 330 feet, 3.5705/365.11 at the eighth, again a gently move right in the second half but pulled it back.

Thomas got the jump 0.0433 to 0.0709 but hit shake almost instantly, 1.1341 to sixty and a long pedal as the car moved right. Sampsa to sixty in 1.0053 and the eighth in 4.2999/266.01, Thomas back on the gas but had lost momentum to the shake and pedal, through the eighth in 4.8256/242.37.

Robin Norén 6.6188/338.13 def. Bengt Ljungdahl 6.5798/338.13

0.0235 to 0.0711 holeshot win for Robin. Bengt had the quicker sixty 0.9852 to Robin's 1.0087 and the better eighth 4.2275/269.60 to Robin's 4.2635/268.26 but Robin had too much of a lead to make up. 0.0090 in it at the stripe.

Christian visibly moved first 0.0511 to Jimmy's 0.1085 but that was the end of his advantage. No shake for either, Jimmy to sixty in 0.9906 to Christian's 1.0123 and Jummy had the much better eighth 4.2131/273.42 to 4.3716/261.50, clear win.

Dennis in as an alternate for Stig Neergaard who as I type is walking around in front of Race Control in civvies. Dennis initially lined up for the right lane but Maja's crew asked him to move to the left lane. The usual very short burnout for Maja. Dennis away first 0.1308 to 0.1466, Maja with the much better sixty 0.8526 to 1.0372, already visibly ahead at 330 feet 2.1642/317.27 to 2.5155/277.92. At the eighth 3.0736/446.65 Maja's car started to move left and she crossed the centre line right on the 1000 foot reflector, from here it looked as if the the front of the car rather than her chute caught the 1000 foot reflector, either way Dennis' clock stopped so no time. Word from race officials was that Maja was DQ'd but about an hour later we had word that she had been reinstated after a protest.

Jndia Erbacher 4.5906/260.62 bye, Timo Lehtimäki shut off

Timo never made the bleach box, small leak, shut off and pushed away. Jndia took the bye, 0.8486 to sixty, 2.1584/318.21 to 330 feet then smoke from the motor, a big flash of flame and fire on the left side, 3.2827/307.87 at the eighth and the blower belt flew off the car.

Anita's car headed for the guardrail in the second half, looed quite close passing the quarter but pulled it back.

Tethys away first 0.0961 to 0.1761 but that was his race done as the rear slicks spun up and there was a huge bang and ball of flame, motor cut and chutes deployed. Liam to sixty in 0.8467, 330 feet in 2.1997/297.52 then before the eighth smoke and a ball of flame from the motor, slowing at the eighth 3.2144/378.15. Berrymans trailer called to the top end, trail from just beyond the thousand.

Andreas away first 0.0469 to 0.0666, Andreas with the better sixty 1.0143 to 1.0627 but then the car hit shake and made a move left, pedal and the car made a serious move right which drew gasps from race officials in here. Dmitry to the eighth in 4.0358/310.70, Andreas had given it up by then 4.8119/240.21. Only one chute for Dmitry, into the gravel trap at the end of the track. Word from the top end is that Dmitry is OK.

David Vegter 5.8451/397.35 def. Åke Persson 6.1294/385.16

David away first 0.0924 to 0.1098 and the better sixty 1.0013 to 1.0499, not much sign of shake for either, Åke's car was drifting slowly left towards the eighth, David with the better eighth 3.8476/316.34 to 4.0724/305.78.

Peter Kunc 6.0772/381.36 def. Jimmy Ålund 10.1021/135.99

Jimmy had problems starting, crew cranked motor over and it fired up for the second time of asking. Peter sportingly waited before pulling his burnout. Peter first away 0.0332 to 0.0806, Jimmy with the better sixty 1.0080 to 1.0157 but then hit bad shake and the Old 51 turned hard right. Jimmy off the gas and yanked it away from the guardrail. Peter to the eighth in 4.0029/303.71.

Micke Gullqvist 6.9128/232.06 bye, Stian Rusånes shut off

Stian in as an alternate for Rolf Simonsson. Lost fire in the bleach box and his crew rushed frantically for the starter pack as Micke pulled and returned from his burnout. Stian fired up then pulled his burnout but the chutes dropped out as he was crossing the start line. Start line crew sped to tell him not to reverse. Micke took the bye, 0.9716 to sixty and 3.9861/266.14 at the eighth, hesitation from the motor after the eighth and off the gas.

Jan Ericsson 5.8688/396.18 bye, Lars Järpler no show

No Lars after a broken driveshaft zinged the motor yesterday, and no more alternates so Jan took the bye. 1.0065 to sixty, swaying left and right, 3.8720/316.34 at the eighth.
