Marcus Christiansen 6.3751/349.51 def. Svein Olav Rolfstad no time
Vesa's had one exhaust pipe smoking going into stage but it cleared as soon as he launched,
the pipe started to smoke again in the second half and vesa looked to shut off early but he
has Lasse covered. A couple of pops and bangs from Svein Olav's motor in the burnout. Into
stage then smoke from the pipes at the hit and motor stopped, maybe a drive belt. Pulled over
and stopped by the rail at the eighth. 1.1197 to sixty for Marcus, 4.1568/291.26 at the eighth.
14:33
EDRS Pro Nordic MC Top Fuel Bike eliminations round 2

right, off the gas. Jimmy to sixty in 0.9761 and the eighth in 3.8628/312.32.
Andreas Arthursson 5.8854/409.40 def. Micke Gullqvist 6.0791/387.37
Micke's tyres didn't light on the burnout. Micke away first 0.0768 to 0.1171, Micke had the better
sixty 1.0046 to Andreas' 1.0345 but a little shake for Micke lost him time and Andreas had the better
eighth 3.9468/323.35 to Micke's 4.0206/302.01, a lead which he wasn't going to lose.
14:20
FIA Top Methanol eliminations round 2
Timo Habermann 9.4165/152.24 bye, Ari Pietilä did not start
You will recall that last round Ari's motor grunted. They only just made the call for this one,
Timo and team waiting patiently and Ari's team appeared a couple of minutes later towing the
car at quite a rate and the crew running alongside. One of Ari's crew borrowed a roll of
insulating tape from Timo's team, still working on the car when the signal was given to fire up.
A big thumbs-up to Timo's team who sportingly took their time even when told to proceed, they were
looking across and visibly giving Ari all the time they could but eventually race officials told
Ari to give it up and he was pushed away. Timo took the bye, 0.9278 to sixty, a couple of pedals
for shake and off the gas.
Dennis Habermann 5.3680/432.25 def. Jonny Lagg 5.4526/427.55
Dennis away first 0.0321 to Jonny's 0.0438, Dennis with the quicker sixty 0.9245 to Jonny's 0.9690.
Dennis drove through a little shake but no dramas, got to the eighth in 3.5425/348.61 to Jonny's
not as quick but faster 3.6435/352.94, Jonny just dropped off right at the end.
14:05
FIA Pro Stock eliminations round 2
Michael Malmgren 6.6428/336.87 def. Magnus Pettersson 20.4801/51.14
Michael away first 0.0231 to 0.0919, Magnus with more or less instant shake which we felt come up though the
floor in the office, shut it off. Michael to sixty in 1.0174, the eighth in 4.2836/267.86, move to the right
on the stripe but had it covered.
Stefan Ernryd 6.6041/326.09 def. Jimmy Ålund 6.6369/340.48
Stefan away first 0.0407 to 0.0670, Stefan with the better sixty 1.0018 to Jimmy's 1.0338 with a hint of shake,
Stefan had the better eighth 4.2486/269.46 to Jimmy's 4.2958/269.06, Jimmy was closing in the second half with his
customary second half charge but didn't have enough.
13:55
FIA Top Fuel Dragster eliminations round 2
Anita Mäkelä 3.9564/479.57 def. Antti Horto 10.4431/103.89
Three Finns out of four in the semis. Antti away first 0.1119 to 0.1945, Anita to sixty in 0.8675, Antti's tyres up in smoke
before sixty 0.9818 and off the gas. Anita to 330 feet in 3.3138/304.57, to the eighth in 3.1513/432.35 and looked to drive it
to the back door.
Micke Kågered 8.9277/122.84 bye, Timo Lehtimäki shut off
Timo rolled almost to half track after his burnout. Leaked fluid on the way back, a big puddle where he stopped on the start line
but it looks like fuel as it is evaporating. Micke to sixty in 0.8861, pedal at sixty, looked like the right rear slick lifted
off the track for a moment and off the gas. Sled of the lane ensued.

EDRS Pro Nordic MC Supertwin eliminations round 1
Vesa Lipponen 6.7537/277.63 def. Roman Sixta 7.4572/282.28
Lasse Leponiemi 8.1951/198.17 def. Anders Hörnström 8.3050/298.51
Svein Olav Rolfstad 6.4230/328.07 def. Trond Høiberget no time
Marcus Christiansen 9.6220/150.54 def. Samu Kemppainen 7.8362/201.42
Vesa close to the centre line in his race with Roman but featherd the throttle and pulled it back,
ultimately getting off the gas but far enough ahead to take the stripe. Anders away from the line either
with a cylinder out or smoke out of the pipe, either way the bike was not making progress. Lasse feathered
the throttle as the front end thumped down, bike made a move and he had his hands full keeping it straight
whilst simultaneously getting on and off the gas. Clean-up crew called to Anders' lane so I guess that
was oil smoke from Anders' motor. Svein Olav in as an alternate for Hans Olav Olstad whose crank broke
in qualifying. Trond's motor stopped off the line and he pulled over about 150 feet out. Fishtailing
pass for Svein Olav and close to the centre line but he had a hold of it and wasn't getting off the
gas for anything. Big -0.2619 red for Samu handed it to Marcus who dodged a bullet having problems on
his pass.
12:15
EDRS Pro Nordic MC Top Fuel Bike eliminations round 1
Thomas Pettersson 7.6922/239.79 def. Jan Sturla Hegre 7.6716/295.40
0.1113 to 0.1955 holeshot win for Thomas although that kind of ignores a great riding job by Jan Sturla
as the bike was fishtailing and trying to throw him off, looked like a cylinder went out at half track
too. Jan Sturla was not getting off the gas for anything despite the bike's best efforts to unseat him
but just ran out of track.
Peter Andersson 7.4448/297.03 bye, Sverre Dahl shut off
Sverre shut off on the way back from the burnout. Peter took the bye, straight pass, 1.2106 to
sixty and 4.7691/238.10 at the eighth.
Rikard Gustafsson 6.0701/369.36 bye
#1 qualifier bye for Rikard. 1.1290 to sixty, 2.7697/240.11 at 330 feet and 4.0314/317.65 at the eighth.
12:10
FIA Pro Modified eliminations round 2
Jimmy Ålund 5.8852/390.46 def. Roger Johansson 5.9784/368.35
Great race between Roger and Jimmy. Jimmy visibly moved fist 0.1038 to 0.2860,
slightly better sixty 0.8970 to Roger's 0.9873, no sign of shake for either,
stormning eighth for Jimmy 3.8617/313.23 to Roger's 3.9247/308.03 which was not
exactly hanging around. Roger back into the fives.
Norbert Kuno 6.0333/373.70 def. Jan Ericsson 6.1231/381.09
Duct tape came off Jan's car in the burnout, you will recall something came off it at the top end in E1.
Norbert away first 0.0295 to Jan's 0.1614, Jan with the better sixty 1.0065 to Norbert's 1.0102 but
Norbert was visibly accelerating harder towards the eighth 3.9667/305.43 to Jan's 4.0324/300.33.
Andreas Arthursson 5.8919/408.16 def. Marco Maurischat 10.6700/129.78 DQ
For an explanation of why Andreas is here after E1, see our updated report on E1 below. Your Reporter's buttocks are still
smarting. Eurodragster.com sponsor Marco left first 0.0146 to Andreas' 0.0920, 1.0177 to sixty with shake to
Andreas' 1.0475. Marco's motor note went up and the Vette shot across the track, crossing the centre line and
banging one of the 330 foot reflectors. Marco did a good job of holding on to it and pulling it straight, such
was the suddenness with which that the car went out of shape. Marco shut it off, Andreas to the eighth in 3.9600/324.32.
Micke Gullqvist 5.9364/397.06 def. Freddy Fagerström no time DQ
Freddy in pre-stage a long time and bulbed by the Autostart. Micke sat and looked at the green for a couple of
seconds then 0.9834 to sixty, 3.9227/309.99 at the eighth.
11:55
Struggling with internet access problems here but doing the best we can. There is absolutely no point in telling us about webcast issues.
FIA Top Methanol eliminations round 1
Ari Pietilä 6.3623/257.39 bye, Johnny Oksa no show
Johnny of course absent after his end-of-track adventure yesterday, our best wishes to him.
Ari on a stormer to begin with, 0.9766 to sixty, 3.7711/306.82 with smoke starting to appear from
the motor and then the motor made an awful oh-god-I'm-dying grunting noise. Ari off the gas or I suspect it was
switched off for him. Stopped on the shutdown area, track check followed and clean-up crew
called to the top end.
Jonny Lagg 5.6495/422.20 def. Linn Engan Karlsen 5.9065/393.30
Linn with the 0.22 Tree advantage also had the better RT 0.1335 to Jonny's 0.1507. Jonny to sixty in 0.9767
to Linn's 1.0008, towards the eighth Jonny's dragster started to move about its lane and he pedalled
a couple of times to get it away from the centre line. Jonny to the eighth in 3.8016/338.98 to Linn's
3.8805/309.28 and a clear win.
Dennis Habermann no time, Sandro Bellio no time
Sandro and Dennis both left before the Tree ran. After the summons to the headmistress to get my botty
spanked for the Pro Mod race commentary I am not going to call this one until race officials decide,
put 50p on Dennis if you like but I have no magazines to stuff down the back of my shorts.
Timo Habermann 5.4359/425.53 def. Micke Larsson no time DQ
Micke edged out of stage before the lights ran. Timo to sixty in 0.9193, a little shake, 3.5811/342.21 at
the eighth.
11:30
FIA Pro Stock eliminations round 1
Michael Malmgren 6.6017/334.78 def. Thomas Lindström 6.6475/337.50
Thomas got away first 0.0684 to Michael's 0.0955, Thomas to sixty with shake in 1.0225, Michael with a clean
sixty 0.9901 and ahead at the eighth 4.2475/268.79 to Thomas' 4.2928/268.52. It looked close at the stripe
from here.
Stefan Ernryd 6.6050/337.92 def. Robin Norén 6.6594/337.50
Robin left first 0.0221 to 0.0685, slight shake for Robin before sixty 1.0276 to Stefan's 1.0044,
Stefan's start line debit made up by the eighth 4.2544/269.19 to Robin's 4.3020/267.99.
Jimmy Ålund 6.6094/341.56 bye, Sampsa Palos shut off
Sampsa shut off for a fluid leak and was pushed back before staging. Jimmy took the bye, 1.0138 to sixty, 4.2721/270.41
at the eighth. Track check of both lanes followed, sledding and moppery in Sampsa's lane.
Magnus Pettersson 6.6683/335.20 def. Bengt Ljungdahl 6.6251/336.87
0.0055 to 0.0992 holeshot win for Magnus, had the better sixty 1.0038 to Bengt's 1.0048, Bengt was pulling it

here as if Stefan's burst plate blew just before the eighth 3.2112/372.67 and through the haze something
looked to come off the back of the car, possibly the chute falling out and not opening. Timo to the eighth
in 3.3994/397.34 and overhauled the slowing Stefan.
Anita Mäkelä 3.9186/500.46 def. Liam Jones 3.9087/503.73

Micke Gullqvist 6.0520/394.45 def. Marcus Perman 6.4553/358.33
Marcus in as an alternate for a broken Håkan Persson, a baptism of fire after gaining his licence earlier
in the event. Marcus got a just-visible jump on Micke 0.1109 to 0.1980 but Micke quickly got it back eith
the better sixty 0.9807 to 1.0233, not much sign of shake for either, Micke had the much better eighth 4.0208/305.26
to Marcus' 4.2447/281.10. I doubt that Marcus is that disappointed, it's not every weekend you go from licencing to
taking on the FIA European Champion and leaving on him.
Andreas Arthursson no time, Micke Johansson DQ
Micke left before the Tree ran and Andreas went with him. Lots of smoke from Micke's motor in the shutdown area,
track checked but all OK. If you read the original version of this report then you will know that Your Reporter
called both racers DQ'd and didn't understand a reinstatement for Andreas. I got summoned to the headmistress and put
straight; the rule on double early departures was changed "recently" (and evidently quietly) to allow the second to
depart to be reinstated. So, Your Reporter got it wrong - apologies - and Stephen Hawking can rest easy.
Jimmy Ålund 5.8700/390.46 def. Lars Järpler 6.2895/361.20
Lars rolled the beams as the lights ran but didn't foul before hitting it, 0.0299 RT to Jimmy's glacial-by-his-standards

On the subject of support, Hello and Thank You also to MSA British Championship PR Robin Jackson who is keeping us updated on Top Fuel and Pro Modified

The plan for today's coverage is the usual real-time reports throughout the day, Simon's pit notes updated throughout the day,
and a photo gallery at the end of the day courtesy of our good friends Lena Perés and Remco Scheelings. As you can see,
and as is usual for our coverage at Tierp Arena, we are using the popular split screen format for our reports showing our
commentaries on one side and results, courtesy of Time-Tree, on the other.
Yesterday's gallery was actually posted today, just, but if you have not already seen it then you can check it out
via the Event Index. Continued thanks to Remco and Lena for the free use of their cameras' memory cards.
Nitroz TV and Tierp Arena are broadcasting free Web TV from this event. Broadcast is scheduled to commence at 09:00 local each
day, and will continue so long as the track is open. You can find a direct link to the Web TV on the Event Index page.
You can check out today's provisional running order via the Event Index; thanks to Marie Selander for passing it on to us.
We are opening with E1s of FIA Pro Modified and EDRS Pro MC Super Street Bike, then E2 of Junior Dragster before a pause for
the usual ceremonies followed by the rest of the Pro classes commencing with FIA Top Fuel Dragster.
