Anita looked to have a brief problem after the burnout, crew rushed down the track to help. Reverse engaged and back without issue. Antti away first 0.1107 to 0.1628, Anita with the better sixty 0.8390 to Antti's 0.8641. Anita blackstriping and motor hazing at 330 feet 2.1728/307.17 to Antti's 2.2088/305.26 and a visible lead at the eighth 3.1012/444.81 to Antti's 3.1668/425.20. A new European ET record of 3.877 for Anita backed up by her #1 qualifying spot, well done Anita, Tommi and team! Smoke from Anita's motor in the shutdown area, in the other lane Antti sideswiped the guardrail. Top end crews sped to assist.

Andreas rolled past the eighth after his burnout. Andreas away first 0.0179 to Jimmy's 0.1003, the quicker sixty 0.9813 to Jimmy's 0.9863. The Old 51 moved left and I didn't exactly hear a pedal but sounded like a ginger feather of the throttle from Jimmy. Andreas visibly ahead at the eighth 3.8381/328.07 (203.85 mph) to Jimmy's 3.9430/306.82. Another new FIA European Pro Modified ET record for Andreas, well done Andreas and team!

0.0572 RT for Sandro for Eurodragster.com sponsor Dyno Unlimited, 0.0468 for Dennis, Dennis with the better sixty 0.9247 to Sandro's 0.9562, All eyes then on Sandro as he hit bad shake which pitched the FC left and he sideswiped the guardrail about 250 feet out. Dennis to the eighth in 3.5846/338.35. Sandro OK, hopefully the car OK too. Fluid in Sandro's lane from 350 feet to the stripe, clean-up called.

Out of shape burnout for Linn, we saw the left side of the car which is impressive when you consider that we are sitting on her right side. Linn with the better RT 0.0438 to Dennis' 0.1742, sixty in 0.9631 to 0.9204, one pedal which sounded to come from Linn. Dennis visibly ahead at the eighth 3.5214/344.61 to Linn's 3.7796/319.72.

Patrik with shake and the dragster started to move towards the centre line then a hard move about 250 feet out and shut off to pull it away from the line. Anita to 330 feet in 2.2381/302.86, the eighth in 3.1901/429.94 blackstriping all the way then something came off the car just past the eighth, from here not easy to tell what it was but black and big enough to see from here.

Antti Horto 8.4972/124.20 bye, Timo Lehtimäki shut off

A hold for a brief shower before this race. Timo fired up but then the motor was leaned out without moving forward for the burnout. Antti to sixty in 0.8636, tyres shaking and shut it off.

Peter out with piston damage. 0.9569 to sixty, 3.8462/309.81 at the eighth, chutes out at 1000 feet and took out the quarter mile reflectors. Chutes hitting reflectors is not a DQ and in any case David had the round win as soon as the Tree ran.

Michael's team had trouble starting the car but eventually got it lit. Good sportsmanship by Jimmy's crew who held Jimmy in the bleach box until Michael pulled forward, nice one guys. Michael got away first 0.0795 to 0.0928, Michael to sixty in 1.0284 with shake, Jimmy to sixty in 0.9912 driving through high-frequency shake. Michael's car was drifting right and then made a big move for the centre line just past the eighth 4.0211/291.11, shut it off and pulled it strtaight. Jimmy through the eighth in 3.8518/314.12.

-0.0566 red by Roger handed it to Jan. Jan to sixty in 1.0008 then shake and off the gas. Bullet dodged there.

Jaska got away first 0.2069 to 0.2219 but his motor laboured off the line then a bang passing the Tree and that was his race done. 1.2575 to sixty for Roman, front wheel high in the air, 4.5728/276.78 at the eighth. Jaska didn't quite make it to the stripe. Greger Johansson in as an alternate for Per Bengtsson and pulled a visible holeshot 0.0443 to Marcus' 0.1155. Greger had the better sixty 0.1805 to 1.1810, Marcus was pulling it back at the eighth 4.4882/271.90 to Greger's 4.5166/264.06 but then a big flash of flame and bang from Greger's motor and Marcus made sure of it. Fluid in Greger's lane and clean-up called. Clean-up well underway when it started to rain heavily - the finish line disappeared for a considerable time. Harri shut off before staging. Vesa took the bye, 1.0043 to sixty then off the gas. Samu getting very close to the EDRS Pro speed record.

Timo's chute popped out before staging, shut off and Dennis took the bye. Dennis to sixty in 0.9458, a pedal and the eighth in 3.5808/345.27.

Jonny looked to edge through stage, the big red lit and Linn took the bye. 0.9681 to sixty, not much sign of shake and visibly accelerating hard at the eighth 3.7778/319.34.

Ari visibly moved first 0.0703 to Sandro's 0.1272, Sandro for Eurodragster.com sponsor Dyno Unlimited had the quicker sixty 0.9331 to 0.9933, looked like shake for Ari about 150 feet out, Sandro with the visible lad at the eighth 3.6163/340.48 to what looked like a shut off 4.0210/299.17 for Ari.

Stefan got away first 0.0942 to Jimmy's 0.1314 but hit instant shake, 1.4900 to sixty. Clean launch for Jimmy, 1.0012 to sixty, ooptical illusion but it looked like Stefan's car stopped deal as he pedalled a couple of times, no further part played in proceedings, on the gas again but then shut it off. Jimmy long gone, to the eighth in 4.2553/270.68.

Thomas Lindström 6.6690/336.24 def. Robin Norén 6.7035/335.40

Thomas got the slight jump 0.0428 to Robin's 0.0591, Robin made that up with a 0.9968 sixty to Thomas' 1.0148, Thomas got that back with with the advantage at the eighth 4.3033/267.19 to Robin's 4.3215/264.86. That was close until the second half.

Magnus Pettersson 6.7440/331.29 def. Michael Malmgren 17.7551/66.86

Michael moved first 0.0991 to 0.1569 but his tyres spun and smoked instantly and he gave it up. Magnus to sixty in 1.0203 and the eighth in 4.3342/261.12.

Sampsa moved first 0.1259 to Bengt's 0.1599 but Bengt started to take it back quickly with the better sixty 0.0749 to 0.9980 and an appreciable lead at the eighth 4.2389/266.93 to Sampsa's 4.3064/263.54.

Micke just starting to return from his burnout as Patrik pulled his burnout. Micke visibly moved first 0.0953 to 0.3139, instant shake and smoke, a pedal then a bang and a ball of flame and his race was run, safety device put the chute out. Patrik rolled off the line slowly, almost as if the burnout clip were still on although from here not possible to tell, 1.9212 to sixty and then a "phut" from his motor, motor stopped and one chute deployed. From then on it was a question of who had the most momentum, both cars slowing down and slowing down, Patrik just made it. Micke stopped before the thousand. Patrik's terminal speed equates to 21.00 mph.

Timo Lehtimäki 4.3296/459.18 def. Björn Mårtensson 4,8260/257.27

Timo away first 0.1315 to 0.3038 and the better sixty 0.8854 to 0.9163. Björn's right side started to smoke and then a huge cloud which obscured his car from here and we could only just see Timo's car. Timo to the eighth in 3.4723/392.44 to Bjön's 3.4707/302.86, I couldn't see but obviously off the gas at that point whilst through the smoke I could just see Timo driving it to the back door. Oil in Björn's lane, clean-up called.

Antti Horto 3.9524/492.25 def. Liam Jones 4.3631/419.58

Liam away first 0.1236 to 0.1492, not much in the sixties, Antti just quicker 0.8645 to Liam's 0.8648. No shake for Antti but blackstriping all the way, gentle weaving left and right. Michel away first 0.0929 to 0.1998 and the quicker sixty 0.9598 to Åke's 1.0067. Åke was pedalling for shake past the Tree, Michel got further before having to pedal. Åke's car made a move, Michel pedalling, Åke ahead at the eighth 4.2309/283.91 to Michel's 4.4622/278.78. Neuther gave up but Åke took it.

Michael Joneskog 6.2703/301.84 def. Kim Kristiansen 6.1213/388.31

Eminently visible 0.0727 to 0.4357 holeshot for Michael which won him the race. Almost identical sixties, 1.0273 for Michael to Kim's 1.0274 but Kim was already looking at the back end of Michael's car. Michael with the quicker eighth 3.9808/301.00 to Kim's 4.0706/304.23, Kim was reeling Michael in but ran out of road.

250-foot burnout by Jan who then got away first 0.1050 to Mats' 0.1310. Mats with the better sixty 0.9642 to Jan's 1.0115, both with light shake but nothing serious. Jan with the better eighth 3.9190/311.78 to Mats' 3.9510/301.34. Mats looked to back out of it at about 1000 feet.

Our second visible holeshot win of the session, Peter visibly moved first 0.0339 to Micke's 0.1640. Pter to sixty in 1.0275 to Micke's 1.0411 with shake, Micke's car made a move to the right. Peter with the quicker eighth 4.0094/304.74 to Micke's 4.0320/307.52. Micke was catching, black smoke and then flame from Peter's exhausts but he had it won. That might cost the championship leader dear.

David Vegter 5.9409/363.39 def. Freddy Fagerström 6.2848/369.61

Freddy in as an alternate for Rolf Simonsson away first 0.2380 to David's 0.2434. Clean launch for David to sixty in 0.9965, Freddy with almost instant shake but pedalled twice, 1.0068 to sixty but lost momentum. David with the visible lead at the eighth 3.8835/309.28 to Freddy's 4.1483/295.89. Thickening smoke from Freddy's motor in the second half.

Roger Johansson 5.8112/396.77 def. Lars Järpler 6.5098/360.00

Roger away first 0.0470 to Lars' 0.0822, Lars rolled a couple of yards before hitting it so that was his race effectively done. 1.2284 to sixty, Roger already visibly ahead at sixty 0.9707. 3.8240/318.77 to the eighth for Roger, interestingly Andreas Arthursson was pulling 3.824-second eighths yesterday. Lars with the view of the rear end of Roger's Mustang at the eighth 4.3087/286.02.

Jimmy Ålund 5.9335/383.80 def. Micke Johansson 6.7316/358.57

Micke's motor took two attempts to light. Jimmy away first 0.2145 to 0.2582, Micke with instant shake. Jimmy to sixty in 1.0151 to Micke's twice-pedalled 1.1362. Jimmy long gone at the eighth 3.9070/312.86 to Micke's 4.5168/284.51. That will not hurt Jimmy's Championship hopes.

Andreas Arthursson 5.8096/396.77 def. Marcus Perman 6.4518/370.62

Andreas away first 0.0917 to Marcus' 0.1137, you could hear Marcus' motor responding to turning tyres, 1.0417 to sixty to Andreas' 0.9923. Andreas' car drifted right a little courtesy of blackstriping but he had it covered and had a clear lead at the eighth 3.8861/324.71 to 4.2384/281.84. Top end crew checked Marcus' lane and then clean-up called in the shutdown area.

Good morning and welcome from Tierp Arena for our coverage of the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing.

Not such a nice day today, a fair bit of rain overnight which stopped about half an hour ago. Right now we have high grey cloud with small patches of blue, not yet enough to make a sailor a pair of trousers. We have rather a damp track at present but we have a good track crew here and they are hard at work.
