Pro Stock racer Bengt Ljungdahl said in the lanes before session three 'We aren't that happy, we have what it takes but we need to perform'. He did indeed perform and grabbed the no.1 spot with a 6.52/140. |
Top Methanol Funny Car racer Sandro Bellio ran a new PB of 5.665 to go to the top of the qualifying lists once the 0.26 handicap had been applied. Top Fuel Dragster racer Micke Kågered said 'Our runs yesterday were not so good as we are still testing our new fuel setup. This is a really different track from Santa Pod, not as grippy at the start line. We had a new motor setup at the Main Event and don't really know how much power to take out of it, but it needs less power at the hit'. His problems continued this morning with more smoke in session three. |
Top Methanol Funny Car racer Ari Pietilä has made a lot of changes over the winter and still had much to do once he got to the track.
