We have now posted today's pictures, eighty in all. We are indebted to our good buddy Markus Ek for supplying Pro Modified and Pro Test and Tune shots since your reporter was of course inside Race Control doing the live reports when those classes ran. The on-track pictures are pretty much all of the right lane since trackside left lane was closed today because of several trip etc hazards which have just been removed. So your reporter will vary lanes and angles a bit more tomorrow.

You can check out today's pictures via the Event Index page; if you do not see all eighty pictures when you load the Saturday gallery then please click on your Browser's Refresh button.

We'll be back in the morning with news from NDRS Bilsport Pro Modified eliminations and Pro Test and Tune sessions 3 and 4. Our friends at Nitroz.se have posted both final qualifying standings and tomorrow's ladders, and we would like to say a big Thank You to them for their help and facilities today.

17:50

Pro Test and Tune session 2 (left lane first)

Trond Høiberget no time bye; Petri Kalttonen 7.6071/260.62, Greger Johansson 10.2773/134.07; Peter Svensson no time bye;

Thomas Lindström 30.8196/36.59, Micke Callin 13.1467/107.08; Jan Palmqvist 14.9126/73.31, Jimmy Ålund 6.7407/334.37; Micke Kågered 6.3965/169.60 bye; Leif Andréasson 7.0210/206.42

Greger's motor stopped almost as soon as it started and Greger's team signalled Trond to take the bye. Trond's tyre went up in smoke at the hit then there was a bang from the motor. Trond stopped on the track at about 900 feet. Nice pair to begin with for Petri and Greger, 1.2471 to sixty for Petri to Greger's better 1.1606, Greger got off the throttle when the front end eventually touched down about 250 feet out. 4.8511/240.64 to the eighth for Petri and stayed with it, Greger already shut off at the eighth 5.2979/157.89. No sixty foot time for Peter as the sensor was out, 4.0687/264.19 at the eighth and then crossed lanes.

120-foot burnout for Thomas then instant shake at the hit. 1.4852 to sixty and off it. Micke got to sixty in 1.0987, the car was bouncing up and down for the next hundred feet or so and he shut it off very quickly. Tremendous pass for Jimmy, 1.0260 to sixty, 4.3493/263.29 at the eighth and staying with it all the way, the fastest Pro Stock speed ever run in Europe - can't set a record in testing of course but his 2011 opponents have been warned! Jan hit shake passing the tree and shut it off. Great pass for Micke K again, 0.9107 to sixty feet, the Bahco car sticking to the track perfectly, looked like a planned shut-off at 300 feet. Very nice run to start with for Leif, too, 1.0808 to sixty and then from here it looked like something came loose on the car but either way Leif shut it off at half track, 3.9805/271.36 at the eighth.

17:10

NDRS Bilsport Pro Modified qualifying session 3 (left lane first)

Urban Johansson 7.7385/206.74, Freddy Fagerström 6.5945/362.90; Adam Flamholc 7.6308/227.75, Jan Gunnarssoh 6.5910/375.26; Roger Johansson 29.6083/32.25, Johan Lindberg 6.1850/362.90; Tami Brander 11.3751/157.02, Per Svedberg 9.3395/157.53; Micke Lindahl 8.0497/199.19, Mats Eriksson 6.8777/357.14

Freddy announced his 2011 season with a 300-foot burnout. 0.9954 to sixty for Urban, 1.1037 for Freddy, the truck hitting shake and heading for the guardrail. Naturally Freddy stayed with it, 4.4455/288.00 at the eighth. Urban tried to drive through shake and almost hit the centre line, he wrenched the car back into his lane then shut it off. Instant shake for Adam, pedalled and got back on it, 1.1365 to sixty and then 4.5837 to the eighth and shut off in the second half. Jan drove through shake with the driver door flapping, 1.0763 to sixty and 4.4601 at the eighth, into #2 spot at that point. Shake for Roger and he shut it off after 1.1775 sixty, in the other lane a fantastic run for Johan to take #1 spot, 1.0254 to sixty feet, right down the middle of his lane, 4.0263/336.66 at the eighth. 1.0910 for Per then shake, almost instant shake for Tami and he got off the throttle about 100 feet out. Per pedalled then got back on the throttle and drove it through to the eighth. 1.0508 to sixty for Micke, 1.0566 for Mats, both hit shake and then from the engine note it sounded as if Micke lost drive or missed a gear (I realise that can't happen but that's the noise it made so please, no more pedantic E-Mails). 4.5574/258.74 at the eighth for Mats and then shut off at about 1000 feet.

As mentioned on our news page the guys at Nitroz don't have good enough internet access for the webcam. They are however posting results which you can access via the Event Index page although your reporter initially got their coverage address wrong so you may have to hit Refresh on the index page.

Pro Test and Tune session 1 (left lane first)

Elvira Karlsson (Pro Stock Bike) 14.8862/80.15 bye; Trond Høiberget (Supertwin) 8.1457/229.20 bye; Greger Johansson (Supertwin) 7.3118/260.37 bye; Petri Kalttonen (Supertwin) 8.5174/197.08 bye; Peter Svensson (Top Fuel Bike) 6.4406/260.62 bye;

Thomas Lindström 30.7070/36.38 (Pro Stock), Jan Palmqvist (Pro Stock) 23.3797/52.66; Micke Callin (Pro Stock) 29.3177/39.04, Jimmy Ålund 16.1296/65.13 (Pro Stock); Micke Kågered (Top Fuel Dragster) 8.1445/140.48 bye; Micke Larsson (Top Methanol Funny Car) no time bye; Leif Andréasson (Top Methanol Funny Car) 15.863/67.19 bye

0.1207 RT for Elvira, 1.1597 to sixty feet, sounded like third gear didn't want to engage, then smoke from the motor as it screamed for mercy on the limiter followed by a ball of flame about 400 feet out. Second eighth oil clean-up and the recovery of small metal pieces followed in Elvira's lane.

On the restart a nicely-controlled and very smoky burnout from Trond. 1.2056 to sixty feet, sounded like a little hesitation from the motor, 5.0842/221.49 at the eighth and audibly feathering the throttle in the second half. Nice run for Greger, front wheel up for a fair way off the start. 1.1795 to sixty feet, looked like the tyre just brke traction for a moment about 400 feet out, 4.6849/256.90 at the eighth and shut off early. Petri on Asko Määttä's bike, the Voodoo made a move to the right on launch but Petri stayed with it. 1.2762 to sixty feet, audibly featering the throttle by the eighth 5.1697/222.68, then off it just past the eighth. Fantastic run for Peter, the bike hooked up and went. 1.0469, straight and clean run. 3.9987/317.46 at the eighth and then shut off about 1000 feet out.

A new Mopar Pro Stock in Europe after a long break. Great burnout by Thomas. Shake for Jan and off the throttle, Thomas' revs went up but the car wasn't making any progress and he shut it off. Huge burnouts for both Micke and Jimmy and then paired shake and both off the throttle by the Tree. Great launch for Micke K, the Bahco Tools dragster stuck to the track. 0.9650 to sixty feet and then off the throttle after about one second. Micke L next up in the Avenger FC. Screaming sixty-foot burnout from Micke but then smoke from his motor as he went up on the revs in stage, a dull thud at the hit and bits of metal and a trail of fluid on the track.

One eighth-mile clean-up later Leif took his bye, fellow returning TMFC racer Ulf Leanders an interested spectator on the start line. Tyres up in smoke at the hit, motor approaching zinging and off the throttle at about 100 feet.

Pro Mod is due at around 15:15 and then the second Pro Test and Tune closes out the day at 16:10.

12:35

NDRS Bilsport Pro Modified qualifying session 2 (left lane first)

Jan Gunnarsson 22.2692/53.72, Adam Flamholc 19.3257/87.58; Johan Lindberg 15.1647/104.63, Roger Johansson 8.7648/162.06; Per Svedberg 35.5880/26.39, Tami Brander 8.3314/249.65; Mats Eriksson 10.8947/166.82, Micke Lindahl 9.3867/2155.62

Paired shake at the hit for Jan and Adam, sixty foot times in the 1.2s and 1.4s respectively and off the throttle by then. 1.1096 to sixty for Roger, 1.1731 and shake for Johan and he was off it by about 100 feet. Flames from the exhausts at every gear change for Roger then a flash of flame before the eighth 4.6668/198.97, looked like a nitrous burp. 1.0412 to sixty feet for Tami, shake which made something come off the car but he stayed with it until about 300 feet, 5.2609/205.64 at the eighth. Appalling shake for Per, some of the worst I have ever seen or felt, off the throttle and rolled through. Clean-up in Per's lane.

On the re-start Micke's tyres didn't light in the burnout. Tremendous launch from Micke, front left wheel up, 1.0476 to sixty feet and then off the throttle about 200 feet out. Instant shake for Mats, off the throttle and idled through.

First pass for Per in his Demon. Burnout to sixty feet then surprise in the left lane as Tami pulled a burnout as the Chief Starter was signalling him not to come forward yet - Per in a new car should have been on a bye. Instant shake for both, Per stayed with it to sixty feet then got off it as the Demon made a move to the left. Tami pedalled and gave it another go, squeezing the throttle on and off and then shutting it off at half track. Great baseline pass for Micke, tiny bit of shake which he drove through, 1.0452 to sixty feet and staying with the Camaro as it headed for the centre line at half track, 4.0975/295.57. Sounded from here as if Adam's blower panel burst in the burnout, Mats took the bye. 1.0518 to sixty feet with the front left wheel up and the tyres shaking, shut off about 200 feet out. 100-foot burnout for Roger but then shut off as the 'Vette was leaving a trail of fluid on the track.
