A nostalgia session followed Pro Mod. First up was Harlan Thompson in the Tre Kronor replica.
7.5801/161.66 off the throttle and the chute out at about 700 feet. Robert Wallmark and Aulis Hameenkorpi next in slingshots,
8.8431/180.15 for Robert and 11.5992/184.19 for Aulis. Next up a very pretty yellow Coupe and the Tingbrand FC,
no names given to us for either (sorry) 12.3010/125.96 for the Coupe and 8.0431/239.66 for the FC.

Simon has posted a second set of pit notes, which you can access via the Event Index page.
FIA NDRS Bilsport Pro Modified final qualifying session (left lane first):
Robert Koper 8.0739/193.03 bye;
Jöran Persåker 6.9818/296.73, Marko Lantto 9.8769/166.96;
Hans Knuters shut off (bye);
Tomi Pöntinen 6.5961/286.07 bye (Ulf Rapp shut off);
Johan Lindberg 6.4120/351.88, Marco Maurischat 6.3677/364.32;
Johan Samuelsson 15.8020/72.20 bye;
David Vegter 6.6410/346.74, Norbert Kuno 6.3180/360.60;
Marc Meihuizen 6.6449/343.45, Pierre Rydberg 6.5510/338.44;
Graham Ellis 6.4180/362.10, Terje Håkonsen 6.9100/248.67;
Kristian Nyström 6.2771/365.79, Roger Johansson 6.6650/341.88;
Niclas Andersson 7.2119/213.70, Bruno Bader 6.2968/354.79;
Jan Gunnarsson 7.4971/208.72, Adam Flamholc 6.2530/368.00;
Micke Gullqvist 6.1511/369.11, Urban Johansson 6.2720/347.82;
Micke Lindahl 10.1523/166.80, Freddy Fagerström 6.1442/365.39;
Andy Robinson 6.1738/371.99, Mats Eriksson 6.7199/220.14
1.0289 to sixty feet for Robert but the Firebird started drifting, Robert pedalled a couple of times but then got off it.
Marko hit shake and pedalled a couple of times before getting off the throttle, Jöran got to sixty feet in
1.1318, half track at 4.4988/260.54 but then smoke from his motor getting thicker and thicker in the second half.
Track checked and all OK so on to the next pair. Jari Parén was pushed away from the staging lanes, Hans took the bye but
shut off on returning from the burnout. Ulf had problems in the burnout so shut off and was pushed back. Tomi took the
bye, 1.0379 to sixty and 4.1560/280.68 at the eighth but then the Camaro made a move to the right and Tomi got off the
throttle. An improvement in ET despite the early shut-off but not enough to get in to the field for tomorrow.
A tremendous match-up next. 1.0491 to sixty feet for Johan, 1.0248 for Marco, 4.1690/280.65 to the eighth for Johan and
4.1788/283.83 for Marco. New PBs for both I believe and both into the ladder for tomorrow, well done guys! Alas a cloud
of dust from the top end told the tale of someone in the gravel trap. Word came back from the top that it was Marco in
the gravel trap, no parachutes, but that he is quite OK. With this pair the record for the quickest ever European Pro Mod bump spot was broken,
with a good few racers yet to run.
Marco's car recovered, Johan S was next up. Big shake and out of shape, off the throttle immediately.
Great run for Norbert, 1.0451 sixty feet, 4.1201/285.12 to the eighth and into tomorrow's ladder. A few places
picked up for David, not qualified but likely very happy with his weekend with the new car. Marc tried everything
he could to get into the ladder, the Camaro moving all over its lane and close to the centre line, but he didn't
make it. Good effort though, 1.0420 to sixty feet and 4.2570 to the eighth. 1.0469 to sixty for Pierre and 4.2191 to the
eighth. Consistent run for Graham but he stayed on the bump, 0.0749 RT, 1.0171 to sixty and 4.2100/278.75 to the eighth.
Nice start for Terje, 1.0281 to sixty and 4.2220/270.25 at the eighth but went away in the second half and shut off.
Roger Johansson bumped out by earlier events now in the Last Chance Saloon, 1.0032 to sixty feet and 4.3132 at the eighth,
eighteenth and spectating tomorrow. Good to see Kristian back after his earlier problem, great 0.0809 RT, 1.0250 to
sixty and 4.1051 to the eighth, a few steps up the ladder but on fire at the end of the track.
Yet more drama on the re-start as the Old 51 threw its right side door at half track, giving Niclas Andersson more
air conditioning than he really needed. Niclas got off the throttle then put the chutes out in the top end speed
trap. Bruno one place up the ladder with a nice-looking pass, 1.0046 to sixty feet and 4.0760/284.82 at half track.
Adam up from #11 to #5 with a great pass, 0.0928 RT and 1.0030 to sixty feet, a storming 4.0813/288.28 at
the eighth. Jan hit shake bad enough to open the driver side door, Jan pedalled and got back on it but shut off after half track.
Great pass from Micke G to take over top spot, 1.0280 to sixty feet and an even more storming 4.0131/294.44 at the eighth.
Urban made up one place in the ladder, 1.01010 to sixty and 4.0291 at the eighth.
Then we had another new #1 qualifier with a stormer from Freddy, 0.9828 to sixty feet and this weekend's first three-second eighth
at 3.9798/290.95. Truly terrible shake for Micke L and he shut off.
Nice run for Andy but not enough to grab #1 spot, 0.0609 RT, 1.0500 to sixty feet and 4.0502/279.56 to the eighth.
1.0007 to sixty feet for Mats, the Crown Victoria made a move to the left at the eighth and took out the 594 foot reflector.
Not a bad session at all, we'll take the quickest-ever European Pro Mod bump spot at 6.408 thank you very much!

Krister Johansson 5.8539/387.62, Peter Schöfer 5.4281/424.13
0.9529 to sixty feet for Paul Ingar, 3.6189/335.32 at the eighth and into the ladder with a new PB, well done
Paul Ingar! Derek left the line with cylinders out, tuner Jim Rizzoli's reaction was quite something at
that moment. 1.0209 to sixty feet, 4.0309/294.42 at the eighth and Eurodragster.com sponsor Derek is watching the
racing tomorrow. 1.0101 to sixty feet for Esko, 3.7948/334.07 at the eighth. 0.9201 to sixty feet for
Rob, 3.6509/319.01 at the eighth, improvements for both racers but both stayed in place.
0.9303 to sixty feet for Peter, 3.5622/339.87 at the eighth and a PB, well done Peter!
Krister left the line with cylinders out, 1.0151 to sixty feet but stayed with it and the car was
putting on some speed further down the track.
Final qualifying:
- Dave Wilson 5.3121/433.42
- Peter Schöfer 5.4281/424.13
- Dennis Habermann 5.4641/413.50
- Krister Johansson 5.5011/415.82

17:00
FIA Top Methanol Funny Car final qualifying session (left lane first):
Jarmo Kuutniemi 6.1102/383.33 bye;
Dan Larsen 6.0952/372.97, Ulf Leanders 8.1519/159.56
0.9561 to sixty feet for Jarmo, the Alfa moving about its lane but Jarmo hung on to it and stayed on the
gas, 3.9971/288.64 to the eighth. Five hundred-foot burnout for Ulf before his match with Dan.
0.9600 to sixty feet for Ulf but the Charger started bouncing up and down and moving about its lane
and Ulf shut off. Another bracket car 6.0 for Dan and the team looked unamused.
Final qualifying:
- Ulf Leanders 5.8020/289.21
- Leif Andréasson 5.8551/385.01
- Jarmo Kuutniemi 5.8691/391.14

16:50
FIA Top Fuel Dragster final qualifying session (left lane first):
Timo Lehtimäki no time bye;
Linda Thun Tønseth 4.1202/443.67, Jari Halinen 4.5460/385.03;
Risto Poutiainen 4.0550/447.12, Anita Mäkelä 4.3347/356.75;
Stig Neergaard 4.1230/458.21 bye;
Andy Carter 4.1308/425.75, Lex Joon 4.5860/322.15
0.9629 to sixty feet for Timo and then his motor stopped dead, he will be spectating tomorrow. Next up the other two
racers not qualified and going into the run you wouldn't have bet against either of them getting in. And boy did
Linda deliver! 0.8740 to sixty feet, 3.2761/392.52 at half track, blackstriping the length of her lane and judging by the tyre tracks
staying on it way past the thousand foot mark and in to second spot. Not quite so good for Jari, 0.8579 sixty foot time,
3.5609/338.52 at the eighth but by then there was a fire licking around the back of the car which just got bigger and bigger
but the motor stayed running until Jari got off it so I guess a gasket. Micke Kågered towed back to the pits after this run, I would
imagine saving parts for tomorrow being safely in the field at that point as Tommy Rostgaard was not in the pairing lanes.
0.8524 to sixty feet for Risto, 3.2231/407.29 at the eighth and blasting into #1 spot, a few thousandths off Andy Carter's track ET record for
1000 feet. 0.9149 to sixty feet for Anita, her motor sounded to be going away before the eighth and she shut off before the stripe.
Stig next up the ladder, 0.8699 to sixty feet and 3.2919/398.06 at the eighth, a nice-looking pass and into fourth.
-0.0201 red for Lex, 0.8929 sixty foot, driving through shake, 3.5232/342.90 at the eighth but the MPM Oil car looked from here
to be moving to the right, tyres hazing and Lex shut off before the stripe. 0.8608 sixty for Andy and one of those runs which looked
quicker than it was, 3.2599/390.99 at the eighth, the motor seemed to be going away past the eighth but Andy stayed on it
past the 1000 foot mark.
Final qualifying:
- Risto Poutiainen 4.0550/447.12
- Andy Carter 4.1082/460.57
- Linda Thun Tønseth 4.1202/443.67
- Stig Neergaard 4.1230/458.21
- Urs Erbacher 4.1353/449.59
- Lex Joon 4.1418/441.66
- Anita Mäkelä 4.2450/435.58
- Micke Kågered 4.3520/385.01
--- DNQ ---
- Tommy Rostgaard 4.3729/351.93
- Jari Halinen 4.4200/353.15
- Timo Lehtimäki 4.6311/339.95

FIA Pro Stock final qualifying session (left lane first):
Jonas Engdahl 7.1390/308.31 bye;
Kenneth Söderström 7.0069/312.27 bye;
Mats Jacobsson 7.7919/255.99 bye;
Bo Pettersson 7.9641/206.84, Harald Sturhan 8.0749/201.17;
Micke Callin 6.9822/318.93, Eero Knihtilä 8.0321/199.07;
Jan Palmqvist 7.3548/241.42, Tommy Leindahl 6.8898/322.48;
Jimmy Ålund 6.7920/327.69, Magnus Hansson 6.8652/321.81;
Richard Sundblom 6.8169/326.21, Michael Malmgren 6.7949/324.82
1.0278 to sixty feet for Jonas, 4.5700/245.50 at half track, nice pass and good for a move up the ladder but he
will be spectating tomorrow unless called upon as first alternate. Improvement for Kenneth too, 1.0260 to sixty
feet and 4.4782/248.73 on top of a 0.0709 RT but he is watching tomorrow unless he fancies being first alternate.
Nice 0.0910 RT for Mats and 1.0639 to sixty feet but the car got a wiggle on and he pedalled, got back on it
again but eventually shut off. 0.0869 RT for Bo, 1.0390 sixty foot time, 1.0510 to sixty feet for Harald.
Harald's Mercedes got out of shape at about 300 feet, had his hands full a bit, just as he got it back together
Bo's Cavalier started moving about its lane and he shut off too. 1.0030 to sixty feet for Eero and then
he got out of shape in exactly the same place as Mats and Harald and shut off. 1.0121 to sixty for Micke,
4.4843 to the eighth. 0.0901 RT for Jan, some smoke from his car towards half track and then it made a move to
the left and he shut off. Tommy got down the right lane just fine, 0.9970 to sixty and 4.4199 at the eighth.
0.9981 to sixty feet for Magnus, 4.4022 to the eighth and up a place into #3. 1.0101 to sixty feet for
Jimmy, 4.3709 to the eighth, an improvement but stayed in second spot. Great pass for Michael Malmgren, 0.9847 to sixty feet,
4.3498/257.63 at the eighth. I think a PB for ET, if so then well done Michael! No improvement for Nixxon but he was at least
first to the finish line by 9.02 centimetres by dint of a better reaction time.

FIM/UEM Top Fuel Bike final qualifying session (left lane first):
Rene van den Berg 4.8251/260.53, Asko Määttä 5.6731/205.68;
Peter Andersson Ström 5.0482/168.77, Michal Ponca 6.8290/177.97;
Rikard Gustafsson 4.4162/236.71, Otto Knebl 5.2538/216.87;
Ian King 4.3541/292.04, Kai Selkämäa 5.8399/132.14;
Sverre Dahl 4.3042/287.37, Peter Svensson 4.1208/303.36
Nice pass for Rene, 1.2509 to sixty feet, an improvement but he stayed in place and is safely in tomorrow. Asko improved
but will be spectating tomorrow. 1.1288 to sixty feet for Peter but then a cloud of smoke and bits came off the bike - looked like
a shredded belt from here. Michal's tyre was spinning at the start. An improvement for Otto but he stayed in eighth, from here
it looked like Rikard shut off just a touch early as the Funny Bike started to move left. Kai's bike moved to the right,
he stayed with it for a while but had to shut off. Ian's bike was moving to the left but he had a good hold of it.
The last match-up fancied by some as tomorrow's final and certainly one of those pairs you can't wait to see.
Peter on a European speed record for the eighth, this run backed up his earlier 304.71, well done Peter!
Nice pass for Sverre but no changes in placings.
Qualifying after this session:

FIM/UEM Supertwin final session qualifying (left lane first):
Ronny Aasen no time (bye);
Ismo Maenpaa 8.2070/180.57, Kari Rajala 5.2060/180.57;
Tommy Möller 4.9018/246.42 bye;
Ulf Nylén 5.1280/170.48 bye;
Samu Kemppainen no time, Eric Frank 4.9953/228.41;
Svein Olav Rolfstad 4.6230/254.95, Matti Vahasaari shut off;
Lorenz Stäuble 4.4990/269.29, Per Bengtsson 4.6129/265.46;
Job Heezen 5.3289/144.60, Hans Olav Olstad 4.6857/269.17
Ronny's bike left very gently and the motor cut out before the Tree.
Ismo's bike hesitated off the line and never really picked up, a better run for Kari but a puff of smoke before the
eighth and Kari shut off. Much better run for Tommy, 1.2630 to sixty feet and straight as you like, but not enough to
get him into the ladder for tomorrow. 1.1121 to sixty feet for Ulf but the bike headed for the centre line and he shut off.
Samu's motor banged and bits came off the bike about eighty feet out. 1.2041 to sixty feet for Eric and a good enough
pass but he won't be racing tomorrow except maybe as first alternate. Matti shut off after his burnout. Svein's bike
sounded very strange on the pushback, idling very high but very irregularly. As Spencer Tramm, next to me in Race Control,
says: "What do we know?" as Svein Olav put in a great run and improved his ET, albeit staying in fifth spot. An improvement
for Lo on another bucking bronco ride but he stayed in fourth place, no improvement for Per. Nice looking
run to begin with for Job but then a bang and a sheet of flame at about 450 feet, maybe lifted the head.
No improvement for hans Olav but safely in first place for tomorrow.

Martin Bishop 8.0850/248.96, Fredrik Fredlund 7.4180/287.47
Miia-Maria's motor cut out off the line. An improvement for Bo but he stayed in eighth. Gabby left
-0.3049 early but a nice pass and up a place. Ulf was going pretty well, 0.0571 RT and 1.0897 to sixty
feet but the motor stuttered and the bike made a move towards the guardrail and Ulf shut off.
Big move for Kenneth, up to #3. 0.0320 RT and a consistent pass for Anders but stayed in second.
A great pass from Fredrik took #1 spot away from Martin in the other lane, Martin's bike headed left
and he shut off in the second half.

and off the throttle at 300 feet, 10.4048/97.08. Erik Wallinder followed in the Rimfrost 'Vette,
a very nice-looking car, headed for the rail on launch and shut off, 16.9711/85.46.

Here we go then, could this be the session which breaks the European best for a Pro Mod bump spot? Going into this session
the record was 6.4910 set here last year. 1.1159 to sixty feet for Bert Ove but then some smoke from his motor at half track
and then from here what looked like fuel spraying from the front of the car, Bert Ove shut off and put out the chutes.
Marki hit shake and pedalled as the Vette turned right, hit the throttle a couple more times but eventually got off it
as the car moved around each time it was under power. Johan's car moved towards the centre line but he stayed with it
and made up a couple of places, not enough to get in the ladder though. A relief for Roger as he finally got a time on the board,
1.0433 to sixty feet and 4.1710/274.51 at half track, David's first timed full pass with the car looking good, 1.0392 to sixty feet
and 4.3272/267.31 at the eighth. 1.0508 to sixty feet for Norbert, 4.2849 at the eighth, something not right with Andy's Stude,
1.0891 to sixty feet and an off-form 4.3509/276.26 at the eighth, the car made a move around half track too. First six-second
turbo Pro Mod in Europe title goes to Jöran, 1.0633 to sixty feet and 4.4743/258.52 at the eighth and shut off a little
early. 1.0417 to sixty feet for Urban and 4.1710/283.99 at the eighth. Jöran may well have been the first six-second PM
in Europe but Johan has the quickest turbo PM in Europe. 1.0732 to sixty feet and 4.2732/276.23 at half track. Robert hit shake at about 100
feet and shut off. Consistent pass from Marc, 1.0709 to sixty feet and 4.3028/277.65 at the eighth, a puff of smoke at the
top of second gear but all OK. Tomi pulled a -0.1011 red, bad sixty foot time of 0.5421 and so the ET doubtful, chutes out
before the stripe. 0.0308 RT for Ulf, 1.0801 to sixty feet and 4.3323/258.43 at the eight, sounded as if he was
feathering the throttle in the second half. 0.0639 to sixty feet for Terje,
4.2541 at the eighth. 1.0591 to sixty feet for Jan and 4.0681 at the eighth, a new PB for Jan and into #3 spot, well done Jan!
1.0460 to sixty feet for Jari, 4.4469/250.562 at the eighth, Hans a bit off-form with a 1.7270 sixty foot time and off the
throttle and chutes out early. 0.0140 RT for Graham, 1.0761 to sixty feet, driving through shake with the front left
wheel up, the some smoke from the motor in the second half. 1.0648 to sixty feet for Pierre and 4.2718/273.46 at the eighth.
0.9989 to sixty feet for Niclas, 4.0619 at the eighth, Bruno to sixty feet in 1.0151 and 4.0990 to the eighth. A big improvement
for Niclas moved him up a few places, Bruno also improved and moved one place above Niclas. 1.0408 sixty foot, shake, a big cloud of smoke and
a trackful of oil from Kristian's Chevy, in the other lane it was 1.0568 to sixty feet for Freddy and 4.0910/289.69 at
the eighth.
Adam and Micke L first on the re-start. Tremendous match, too, 0.0791 RT for Adam and 0.0760 for Micke L, 1.0407 to sixty feet for
Adam and 1.0271 for Micke, Micke quicker at the eighth 4.0588 to 4.1186, both racers moving up the ladder.
Drama in the next pair, Micke G away first 0.0487 to 0.3928, 1.0571 sixty foot for Mattias to Micke's 1.0304,
Mattias' 'Vette started to move left and right and then something came off the car, looked like a spill plate, it was up on two wheels
and sparks flew as the headers scraped the track. Mattias got it back the first time, but the pendulum effect had set in and
the car turned right and rolled over right on the finish line. The car turned over three times but ended up back on four wheels
pointing right way down the shutdown area. Mattias got himself out of the car and is OK.
Mats and Patrick closed the session, 1.0410 sixty foot time for Mats, 1.0022 for Patrick but he was visibly driving through
shake, 4.0490/292.93 at half track for Mats to Patrick's 4.1221/291.82. Mats up into #3 spot and the bump down to 6.5128.

FIA Top Methanol Dragster qualifying session 3 (left lane first):
Fred Hanssen is out for the weekend as on inspection by Mats Eriksson his dragster's chassis was found to be bent. Fred
expects the car to be repaired in time for the NitrOlympX at Hockenheim. Fred told us that when the car went to the left
in the second half yesterday it was going left whether or not he wanted it to and then of course he waited for the
pull of the chutes opening but it never came.
Dennis Habermann 5.5279/408.97 bye;
Rob Turner 5.6478/391.84, Esko Raisvuo 6.3381/369.09;
Paul Ingar Udtian 6.4519/381.30, Derek Flynn 5.8613/368.90;
Dave Wilson 5.3121/433.42, Timo Habermann 5.5349/341.79;
Peter Schöfer 5.5021/413.42, Krister Johansson 5.6059/398.13
0.0850 RT for Dennis, 0.9289 to sixty feet and 3.6170/335.03 at the eighth, the dragster got very close to the
guardrail in the second half but Dennis stayed hard on the throttle. 0.9290 to sixty feet for Rob, 3.6606/319.62 at the
eighth, an improvement in ET but no change in position. 1.0680 to sixty feet for Esko but the car looked to be lacking
pull, 4.2000/290.83 at the eighth. Eurodragster.com sponsor Derek not quite in the Last Chance Saloon, and Paul Ingar
looking to get a time on the board after being DQ'd on a fuel check failure yesterday - nothing sinister, just crud in the
fuel sample from the bottom of the fuel tank. 0.0671 RT for Paul Ingar, 0.9399 to sixty feet but then looked to run out of
puff and shut off before half track. 0.9621 to sixty feet for Derek, 3.7603/307.98 at half track, cylinders out in the
second half but into the top eight. Great run between Grumpy and Timo, at the start it looked like Timo was on
a big one, 0.8879 to sixty feet and 3.5181/338.28 at the eighth, but then vapour and then a big cloud of smoke from Timo's
dragster on the finish line. Small pieces of metal found on the track but no oil. 0.9389 to sixty feet for
Grumpy, 3.5382/358.60 at the eighth and a new track speed record and the first half of a new European speed record for
Grumpy, 269.31 mph, well done Dave! Consistent passes for Peter and Krister, 0.9160 to sixty feet for Peter to Krister's
0.9609, 3.5880 at half track for Peter to Krister's 3.6660, slight improvement for Peter but no changes in standings.

A quick Hello and thanks to Andy Marrs of TSI Timers Europe who is getting in touch and confirming records I already
noticed and pointing out records I missed, thanks Andy!
FIA Top Methanol Funny Car qualifying session 3 (left lane first):
Per Håkon Trøa 6.5762/280.52, Dan Larsen 6.0190/377.15;
Ulf Leanders 5.8020/289.21, Danny Bellio no time;
Jarmo Kuutniemi 6.6952/246.21, Leif Andréasson 5.9709/327.84
0.9381 to sixty feet for Dan, 3.9202/300.27 at the eighth but again looking to run out of grunt in the
second half, a 6.0 bracket FC. 1.0021 to sixty feet for Per Håkon, driving through shake and then moving
towards the centre line all the way, 4.1032/276.32 at half track. Improvements for both but no changes in
position. Eurodragster.com sponsor Ulf going after Freddy Fagerström's burnout reverse speed record,
an impressive effort. 0.9711 to sixty feet for Ulf, no shake to speak of, 3.7920/315.02 to the eighth.
All eyes on Danny in the other lane though, 0.9800 to sixty feet and then shake bad enough to be felt here
in Race Control, the FC made a move to the right and hit the guardrail and then ran along the rail all the way to
about 900 feet. I am guessing Danny's bell well and truly rung by the shake or something broken in the steering.
Kirstie at trackside reported that Danny got himself out of the car and word is that he is A-OK.
On the re-start a long wheelie from Jarmo, put the front end down at about 100 feet. 1.0249 to sixty feet and looking
good but then a bang as the blower burst plate blew and the relief panel flew off the car. Nice run
for Leif to begin with, 0.9799 to sixty feet and 3.8388/313.52 at the eighth but off the throttle
in the second half.
Qualifying after this session:
- Ulf Leanders 5.8020/289.21
- Leif Andréasson 5.8551/385.01
- Jarmo Kuutniemi 5.8691/391.14

FIA Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session 3 (left lane first):
Linda Thun Tønseth 6.4199/147.45 bye;
Risto Poutiainen shut off (bye);
Stig Neergaard 5.6539/195.27, Timo Lehtimäki 5.1140/224.19;
Anita Mäkelä 4.2450/435.58, Micke Kågered 4.6719/304.30;
Jari Halinen 6.4300/145.39, Andy Carter 4.1082/460.57;
Lex Joon 4.3061/409.01, Urs Erbacher 4.1353/449.59
0.8938 to sixty feet for Linda then shut off at about 300 feet, I am guessing a test of tomorrow's set-up although
Linda was by no means secure in the top eight at that point. Risto's tyres didn't light in the burnout, then lots of
consternation at the front of the motor when he got back and then Risto shut it off. No smoke for Timo in the
burnout either. Starter Ian Marshall drew tuner John Smith's attention to something on Stig's motor after the
burnout but all OK. 0.8751 to sixty feet for Stig and 0.8722 for Timo, Stig had cylinders go out and his blower belt
flew at about 500 feet followed moments later by smoke and the blower belt from Timo's car. Now then, would the
nightmare end for Anita? And the answer was a big yes! 0.9170 to sixty feet, 3.3940/389.08 at the eighth
and into #5. 0.9448 to sixty feet for Micke, 3.5489/356.66 to the eighth, but
Micke's motor started to smoke at the eighth and the Bahco Tools dragster disappeared into a cloud of smoke at
about 750 feet. Track checked and all OK, so into the next pair. All Andy this one, 0.8552 to sixty feet
and 3.2810/393.41 at the eighth, an imperious performance from Andy and the Danes and into #1 spot at that point.
Jari's tyres shook and started to smoke and he was off the throttle by the Tree. Tremendous run between Lex and
Urs, two hard runs, Urs away first 0.1128 to 0.1129, the better sixty foot time 0.8733 to 0.8989, 3.2911/393.73 at the eighth
to Lex's 3.3920/371.52, Urs leapfrogging Lex into #2 spot.

Tommy Leindahl 6.8969/320.34, Richard Sundblom 6.7910/326.36;
Jimmy Ålund 11.6432/110.41 bye
1.1872 to sixty feet for Mats, didn't hear many gear changes but he stayed with it, 4.8980/237.39 at half track and a
big improvement in ET moving him up the ladder. Jonas rolled the beams slightly, 1.1820 to sixty feet and
4.7419/222.33 at half track before shutting off, still an improvement though. Sounded as if Christer had problems
engaging gear before the burnout but he got it sorted. Kenneth's ET won't be right given the 0.2941 sixty
foot time but all eyes on Christer as his car took a hard right at the eighth, Christer got off the throttle
and pulled it straight. The next pair hard to tell apart, two plain white Cavaliers and neither in the ladder
before staging. Sorted for Eero, though, a very nice pass, 1.0180 to sixty feet and 4.4401/254.66 to the eighth.
1.0318 to sixty feet for Bo, then just looked to run out of grunt in the second half, 4.7898/219.52 at half track.
Micke up a place even going the long way round as his car moved over to the right side of its lane, 0.9859 to
sixty feet and 4.4358/252.44 at the eighth. 1.0770 to sixty feet for Harald, 4.5929/245.60 at the eighth,
an improvement but still out of the top eight. All six-second top eight after that pairing.
Excellent match between Magnus and Jan, both moving up the ladder and I'm thinking maybe a PB for Jan, if so
then well done Jan! 0.9973 to sixty feet for Jan and 4.4372 at the eighth, 1.0212 to sixty for Magnus and 4.4153 at the
eighth. Nixxon into #1, 0.9899 to sixty and 4.3598/257.82 at the eighth, 1.0109 to sixty for Tommy and
4.4261/254.80 at the eighth. New track records for Nixxon, well done Richard! So what could Jimmy do?
Well, he could do 0.9853 to sixty feet but then hit shake, pedalled then shut off.

Peter Svensson 4.0897/304.71, Ian King 4.2251/300.53
A storming pass from Sverre to go into #2 spot, 1.0998 to sixty feet, straight and clean as you like.
Asko with a time on the board at last after some bad luck in previous sessions. Rene's bike sounded OK
but looked and sounded from here as if the clutch was a bit loose, not as much forward motion as the engine
note suggested - 1.3510 sixty foot time. Michal's rear slick was shaking to about sixty feet. A stormer
from Rikard, 1.1059 to sixty feet and into #3 spot, Otto's bike hesitated in the first hundred feet or so
and he shut off early. Peter got a big jump on Kai off the line, Kai's bike headed for the centre
line and he shut off, meanwhile Peter's bike started to drift towards the centre but he stayed with it.
Superb pass for Peter S, 1.0790 to sixty feet, riding through shake and putting daylight between himself
and Sverre at the top of the list and the first half of a European record for the eighth, well done Peter!
An improvement for Ian moved him back above Rikard.

Kari Rajala 5.7007/175.83, Ismo Maenpaa 9.9741/96.57;
Matti Vahasaari 4.7951/233.52, Svein Olav Rolfstad 4.6257/249.14;

Hans Olav Olstad 4.3179/286.22, Job Heezen 4.3330/273.15
Lots of smoke from Jaska's exhaust before staging. The motor was on and off all the way to the eighth and then there
was another cloud of smoke as Jaska got off the throttle. Nice clean run for Eric and up into sixth at that point.
Greger's bike threw a part at the start of the eighth-mile speed trap and there was a flash and cloud of smoke at the
same moment, but he moved up to fifth. Kari staged over to the right of his lane and the reason looked pretty obvious as
the bike headed left at launch, Kari feathered the throttle as he tried to pull it straight. Ismo shut off at about
300 feet. A great match between Matti and Svein Olav, Matti's bike trying to head for the centre line but
Matti hanging on and keeping it in his lane. Straight and true for Svein Olav and a time on the board.
Another nice match between Martin and Ronny to begin with, Martijn straight down the middle of his lane, but then
Ronny's motor quit at about 300 feet. Martijn into #9 at that point. A couple of big deep breaths from Roel before
his burnout. Huge nitro flames from Roel's bike again but sounded to be labouring a little, straight run and an
improvement for Ulf, both moved up but both still outside the top eight. Big improvement for Samu and into the ladder,
Jukka's motor started to make grunting noises and then it was just a case of when it was going to blow and sure enough
there was a bang and a flash of flame and pieces started to fly at about 250 feet. Nice match between Per and
Lo, again Lo's bike was pitching left and right but he stayed with it. A straight and consistent run for Per, no
changes in position for either. Tremendous run for Hans Olav to consolidate the lead, a new track record
speed and the first half of a European speed record, well done Hans Olav! Job's bike looked to be running out of power
towards the stripe but into #2.

Gabriella Nikolovska 7.8149/270.12; Martin Bishop 11.4888/103.44;
Fredrik Fredlund 7.7522/275.05, Anders Abrahamsson no time
One place improvement for Kenneth, Ulf got very close to the guardrail and had to shut off but still
improved his ET. Miia-Maria's bike hesitated off the line. -0.1149 red for Gabby but a straight run,
Martin had to shut off as his bike was headed for the eighth-mile reflectors. Anders' motor stopped
as he passed the Tree and he stopped on the track at about 800 feet.
