Twenty five of thirty five qualifiers are under index. 15:50 Super Street qualifying top five after session 4:
In the first pairing of the session Tomas Hagg improved but stayed in #3 spot. In the next pairing Halvor Overby improved and consolidated his #1 spot; word came back from the top end that one of the cars in that pairing had thrown its bonnet, we understand that it was Halvor's Kapitan. On the restart Joran Sordal came into the top five at #4 followed by an improvement by Janne Carlsson but he stayed at #2. 15:35 Super Comp qualifying top five after session 4:

Tommy Lundstrom moved into the top five at #5 in the fourth pairing. Towards the end of the session Robin Sattler moved back into the top five, #5 at that point. We then had a stop for clean-up from Yngve Solberg's dragster, no word on what we were cleaning. Twenty one of thirty five qualifiers are under index. 14:00 Stock/Superstock qualifying top five after session 3:
A big jump for P-Anders Lindstrom, into #1 spot from #5. Next up was an improvement for Bjorn Bondesson but he stayed in place. Peter Lindberg put on a good show during his burnout as the car spun round and ended up pointing back towards the bleach box. He managed not to hit any of the start line furniture. 13:50 Super Comp qualifying top five after session 3:
Bo Ragnebro moved into #2 spot in mid-session. We then had a brief stop for the lightest of rain. To be honest we have been very lucky because the skies have been threatening for the last few hours. Towards the end of the resumed session Jussi Tukianen moved into the top five at #2. A highlight of this session was Lars Olsson's Breakout of the Day, a very naughty but admirable 7.9861/271.16. Fredrik Skagard took over the lead in the second pairing of this session. Simon and Kirstie are out in the pits and you can check out their first discoveries via the Event Index page. 13:00 Super Street qualifying top five after session 3:
No changes to the top five in this session. 12:55 Bilsport Junior Dragster qualifying top five after session 3:
Linn Karlsen took over the lead in this session, the closest yet to that Perfect Light money. It all happened in this pairing as in the other lane Mark Daugaard moved into the top five at #5. Near the end of the session Ludvig Peres moved into the top five at #3 and bumped Mark down a place. The top twenty one qualifiers are separated by 0.0979 seconds. 12:35 Super Gas Bike qualifying top five after session 2:
Magnus Solverup took over the lead in the third pairing of the session. Nichlas Sverin was next into the top five at #2. Next pairing and Lars Eriksson moved into #2 spot and I A Osthagen was next into the top five at #5. Two pairings later Thomas Nilsson took over #2 spot. Jonas Moren came into the top five at #5 in the last but one pairing. Some names from the first session were missing from the standings on the timing console during this session, we understand that some racers have moved to Super Comp Bike and we'll straighten out the revised session 1 standings later on. Super Comp Bike qualifying top five after session 2:
Micke Berglund came into the top five at #4 in the first pairing of the session. Next pairing and Anders Gronvall moved into #2. Improvements for Henrik Karlsson and Joakim Segerberg but they stayed in formation. Funny Bike qualifying after session 2:
A big improvement for Peter Westin put him into the lead, Stefan Andre improved but had to be content with #2. A slight improvement for A Asplund but he stayed in #3. 12:20 Comp Eliminator qualifying top five after session 2:
A big move for Petri Nagy, into #2 spot towards the end of the session and I am guessing a PB as his crew were very happy with that run. In the next pairing, Ola Dahlblom improved but stayed in place. 11:45 Stock/Superstock qualifying top five after session 2:
Side-by-side improvements for Bjorn Bondesson and Kjell Gisslar but both stayed in place. Same story for P-Anders Lindstrom with the final pass of the session. So the top five remains as it was. 11:40 Super Comp qualifying top five after session 2:
A big move for Linda Eriksson in this session, up from #20 to #4 at that point. Towards the end of the session Leif Andersson moved into the top five at #3 bumping Linda down to #5. The top ten qualifiers are in the 8.9s. 11:20 Super Gas qualifying top five after session 2:

A couple of tilts at the Eurodragster.com/Speedflow Perfect Light Award with our first session of the weekend! 8:15 Good morning and welcome from Mantorp Park. It's day one of qualifying for the Veidec Festival and we're here to bring you all the news in association with American Car Imports. The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and is broadcasting a picture every two minutes. It's quite a pleasant day, high cloud but the sun is breaking through on a regular basis. The only other weather of note right now is quite a stiff headwind which will affect the index classes. The plan for today is for four complete cycles of Sportsman qualifying. As usual we will track the top five qualifiers in each class as well as any other notables. We are due to start at 8:30 with Bilsport Junior Dragster so stay tuned and as soon as the Juniors start to roll we'll bring you all the news. Reports and pictures ©Eurodragster.com |
