Same story for Luigi, an improvement and into the sevens but he's watching on race day. No joy for Steen either. A nice pass for Bousinis but he is another in the stands in the morning, Fredrik's bike was trying hard to cross the centre line and he got off the throttle and let it go where it wanted to, crossing lanes after the finish line. Kenneth improved but not quite enough, Anders A's engine cut out at the hit. Martin leapfrogged Stavros in their match-up, both bikes running straight in in the darkness. A nice match between Anders L and Orjan, into the 7.4s and into #2 and #3 respectively. Anders J's engine cut out off the line. No improvements for Ulf or Rune and they will be watching tomorrow. That's qualifying finished and the track closed for today, stay tuned for today's pictures. 22:00 FIM/UEM Supertwin qualifying session 3 (left lane first): Per Olov Berglund shut off, Erik Nielsen 5.1110/214.93, Greger Johansson 4.8068/241.41, Stefan Iwanowitsch 4.8971/247.25, Hans Olav Olstad 4.6158/221.64, Jaska Salakari 5.0129/222.79, Petri Kalttonen 6.2239/127.76, Per Bengtsson 4.6539/259.59, Ulf Nylen did not start, Gunther Sohn 4.5761/270.60, Lorenz Stäuble 4.3179/278.55, Joachim Riemer 4.5823/262.44, Roel Koedam 4.4249/250.38 Per Olof shuf off after his burnout. Greger improved and moved up a place riding on a cushion of nitro flames but won't be in the show tomorrow. No improvement for Stefan but Hans Olav got into the top eight, there was a bang and puff of smoke from the engine just before the eighth then the bike drifted to the right and the rear footpeg scraped the guardrail in a shower of sparks, Hans Olav is quite OK. No improvements for Jaska or Petri, Petri was trying very hard but the bike leaned over and the headers grounded and he got off the throttle. As things stand Jaska races tomorrow, Petri watches. Great header flames from Per's bike in the burnout, and again on the run, the bike drifted a little and there was a lot of smoke from the engine after the stripe. A fantastic run from Lorenz to take back the lead, front wheel aloft and a cushion of nitro flames. What could Roel do about it? Not quite enough as he backed off just before the finish so Lorenz kept #1 spot. Final qualifying standings:
21:40 FIM/UEM Top Fuel Bike qualifying session 3 (left lane first): Michal Ponca 9.0889/158.76 bye, Anders Forsberg 4.9859/220.22, Asko Määttä 6.0649/197.94, Otto Knebl 8.0761/206.32, Shaun Branch 5.4550/207.02, Soren Hartvig 4.8658/237.43, Peter Ström 4.6509/247.88, Luigi Ferretti 4.3831/266.25, Rickard Gustafsson 4.5322/244.42, Peter Svensson 4.2302/283.99, Ian King 4.2692/290.53 Improvements for Michal and Asko weren't good enough to put them in tomorrow's field. Anders improved which put moved him into the ladder at #7. Shaun Branch moved onto the bump spot with his pass even though the bike sounded hesitant. In the next pairing Peter Strom laid down a good pass on his Fuel bike but then it looked as if the transmission let go then he came off the bike and the bike ran along the guardrail. The safety crews were there in moments. Peter got himself up and was walking about and insisted that he was OK but the safety crews equally insisted that he went to hospital to be checked out. An improvement for Luigi although he appeared to be fighting the bike after the launch, staying in #3 spot at that point. A great match between Peter Svensson and Ian to complete the session, nitro flames high above Ian's bike and an improvement for Peter although he stayed in #2 spot. 21:30 FIA NDRS Bilsport Pro Modified qualifying session 3 (left lane first): Marko Lantto 6.5968/348.40 bye, Kaj-Erik Nieminen 8.6580/261.46, Norbert Kuno 7.0470/346.50, Robert Koper 6.7178/335.88, Patrick Wikström 6.5580/353.25, Tami Brander 7.8030/273.26 bye, Terje Håkonsen 6.6781/336.88 bye, Bruno Bader 6.6928/338.44 bye, Roger Johansson 8.1389/237.42, Micke Gullqvist 6.5891/362.02, Marc Meihuizen 6.3660/355.33, Micke Nord 6.5428/343.45, Mats Eriksson 7.0679/321.89, Gordon Appleton 8.3218/182.42, Micke Lindahl 6.5081/358.48, Urban Johansson no time, Andy Robinson 6.3462/360.60 A nice pass from Marko moved him from the bottom of the pack into #13 at that point. 1.0749 to sixty feet and 4.3080/273.22 at half track. Norbert pulled a 200 foot burnout before his match-up with Kaj-Erik, Kaj-Erik tried his best to drive through hideous shake and there was a flash from under the car as he left. Norbert's Avenger just looked off the pace, nothing visibly wrong. Kaj-Erik and Norbert are watching tomorrow's race. Patrik's "checkout" passes continue with a tremendous third run on the car, 1.1058 to sixty feet and 4.3041/278.28 to half track. Robert improved but is out of tomorrow's race. Tami hit shake not far off the line, 1.0329 to sixty feet but then had to pedal and eventually gave up, he too is in the stands on race day. 1.0051 to sixty feet for Terje and looking good at half track with a 4.2870/254.12 but he pedalled in the second half. Bruno's Vette was up on three wheels, came down, and went up again then made a hard move to the right. Bruno calmly pedalled and pulled it straight and carried on through, a good driving job. Roger hit shake and the Mustang made a move so he pedalled and gave it another go before getting off the throttle. Micke G rolled the beams and pedalled, I reckon that will have lost him a couple of tenths at least but he is safely in tomorrow's field. A great run from Marc, 1.0131 to sixty feet and 4.1312/282.78 at half track, straight as you like although he stayed in place despite the improved ET. Nitrous flames and sparks which I am guessing were bits of valve came from Micke N's exhaust, nothing obviously wrong with Mats' Crown Victoria but he is safely in tomorrow's ladder. Gordon backed off before half track after clocking 1.0450 to sixty feet, 1.0329 to sixty feet for Micke L and 4.2551/272.32 at half track. Urban and Andy rounded off the session, urban had trouble staging and then left before the lights ran, Andy went with him but just after the lights started, 0.9993 to sixty feet and 4.1341 at half track and safely in number one place. 21:00 FIA Top Methanol Dragster qualifying session 3 (left lane first): Rickard Persson 7.6988/279.63, Arto Höylä 7.1826/240.06, Timo Habermann 5.7842/389.21 bye, Krister Johansson 5.7771/411.62 bye, Rob Turner 5.5211/409.29, Dave Wilson 5.4569/414.35 Rickard out of tomorrow's show, the car left in a very lazy manner and Rickard shut off early, Arto also off the throttle just after half track. Would you believe Timo pulled a 0.0009 reaction winning him the Eurodragster.com/Speedflow Perfect Light Award, the first Pro racer ever to win one of our Perfect Awards, well done Timo! 0.9942 to sixty feet, drove through shake, 3.7740/317.61 at half track and a new PB, great work! A great pass from Krister was next up, again all the pipes were lit all the way down the track, Krister and the guys are on top of that tune-up now. Just as with TMFC a great match-up to close TMD qualifying, 0.9442 to sixty feet for Rob to Grumpy's 0.9281, Rob got to half track at 3.6071/334.07 to Grumpy's 3.5668/336.94, Grumpy improving his ET still further to consolidate his #1 and consistency from Rob. 20:50 FIA Top Methanol Funny Car qualifying session 3 (left lane first): Jörgen Johnsson 6.3180/365.79, Danny Bellio 6.1629/369.11, Jonas Staflund 8.3702/140.85 bye, Arvid Grødem 6.3522/367.26, Freddy Fagerström 8.3161/195.69, Jarmo Kuutniemi 9.4574/150.56, Dan Larsen no time, Ulf Leanders 5.7117/395.71, Leif Andréasson 5.7380/395.84 A bit of a burndown between Jörgen and Danny before their match-up then Jörgen rolled the beams just as the lights ran, the Over The Hill Gang FC crept for several yards before picking up and that was Jörgen out of the show for tomorrow. Danny drove through shake and then had a nervous wait for Arvid and Jonas to run. He didn't have to wait long for Jonas as he was next up, again a lot of smoke from the right bank, driving through shake and fluid spraying from under the car, then the blower burst panel blew just as Jonas got to the uphill section. Some small pieces of bodywork were found on the track too, a result of the percussion I'd imagine. So Danny is definitely in and Jonas and Jörgen are out of tomorrow's show. Arvid and Freddy traded long burnouts but Freddy is always going to win that one, 300 feet in this case. The run was a pedalfest with both racers hitting shake and pedalling, Freddy pedalled three times before giving up and Arvid pedalled a couple of times using up all of his lane and staying with it a little longer. But both were in tomorrow's eight-car field anyway so no worries. Jarmo hit shake off the line, pedalled once then gave up whilst Dan also hit terrible shake and stopped the car at about 150 feet doubtless with an astounding headache and seeing seventeen of everything. Great burnouts by Ulf and Leif but Leif trumped Ulf with a 300-foot effort. A great match-up to end the session, I think the quickest-ever side-by-side TMFC passes in Europe and another track ET record for Ulf, well done guys! Final qualifying standings:
20:20 FIA Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session 3 (left lane first): Jöran Persåker 5.0749/461.36, Siw Nystad 12.1668/107.45, Lex Joon 4.8169/452.79 bye, Stig Neergaard no reverse, Thomas Nataas 4.8692/501.80, Janne Ahonen shut off, Tommi Haapanen 4.8883/476.01, Micke Kågered 4.9831/428.90, Andy Carter 4.7379/506.18 bye Siw's tyres hazed off the line and then the blower belt came off the car, in the other lane Jöran got to sixty feet in 0.8769, 3.3167/379.38 at half track with cylinders out in the second half. At this point Jöran could possibly be bumped out, let's see. And it looks pretty safe for Jöran now, Stig couldn't get reverse and drove off the track. 0.8339 to sixty feet for Lex, the briefest of pedals about 150 feet out, 3.2621/408.92 at half track then a bang from the blower right on the finish line. But a major move for Lex, up into #3 spot at that point and the field was set with Stig and Siw both out of the reckoning, the bump spot of 5.0749 makes this the quickest ever bump spot in the history of European Top Fuel, well done guys! Janne's tyres didn't light on the burnout and he shut off and was pushed back. Thomas took the bye and it was a superb run, 0.9171 to sixty feet, 3.3261/409.47 at half track and then something flew off the car at 1000 feet, from here it was difficult to tell what it was but it didn't affect the run judging by the ET and speed which for our mph friends is 311.80. Word came back from race officials that it was one of the rear kickout panels which departed the Batmobil. 0.8710 to sixty feet for Tommi, 0.9119 for Micke, 3.2731/393.39 at half track for Tommi to Micke's 3.3410/395.97. Tommi got quite close to the guardrail at the top end but stayed with it and yet again blew his Personal Best away, well done Tommi! With the consistency he is showing this weekend you have to have Tommi as one of tomorrow's favourites. Micke was right in it to half track but the incrementals betray and early shut-off. Andy did the job with the European ET record, well done guys! 0.8299 to sixty feet 3.2039/411.59 at half track and a new track speed record which will also be a European speed record if he backs it up, 314.53 mph in real money. Consistency from Andy too. Again no sign of Urs in this session. Final qualifying standings:
19:50 FIA Pro Stock qualifying session 3 (left lane first): Christer Wiklund 9.8042/148.38 bye, Jan Palmqvist 10.4570/116.82, Jonas Dantanus 7.0908/310.81, Peter Emilsson 7.5361/298.22, Peter Dahlin 7.1809/309.48, Eero Knihtilä 6.9319/323.24 bye, Kenneth Söderström 7.8370/212.44, Magnus Hansson 6.9520/317.67, Adam Flamholc 13.1719/98.68, Richard Sundblom 7.1291/314.99, Micke Callin 6.9288/320.68, Tommy Leindahl 7.0151/317.66, Jimmy Ålund 6.8832/321.82, Michael Malmgren 6.8190/324.60 Christer pedalled at about sixty feet and then the car kept making moves left and right, he was pedalling more or less at each gear change and then got off the throttle at half track. Eero Knihtilä was pulling in to stage when he was shut off for sprinkles of rain at the top end. On the restart Eero was pushed back and Jan and Jonas were summoned forward under threatening skies. A great-looking pass for Jonas and into the top eight at that point, Jan's car bunny hopped a couple of times and then there was a puff of smoke and he shut off. Peter D pulled a great 0.0800 reaction, an improved pass but not enough to move him up the field. Peter E hit shake and headed for the centre line, pedalled and pulled it back and continued on through. We were then stopped again for sprinkles of rain. On the restart Eero was first on track. 1.020 to sixty feet, 4.4601/252.38 at half track and into the sixes to give us seven six-second runners again. Could Magnus be the eighth to make it an all-six second qualifying field? And the answer was yes! For the first time in European drag racing history we have eight qualifiers in the sixes, well done guys! Kenneth's Grand Am puffed smoke and he was off the throttle way before the finish line. At that point we were put on hold for rain. We started again at 19:15 with Adam and Richard, Adam spun the tyres and got off the throttle, and idled up the track. In the other lane Richard laid down a pretty good pass, 1.0770 to sixty feet and 4.6003/246.88 at half track. At that point I looked down to type and when I looked up there was a cloud of smoke at the top end and parts flying, which turned out to be Richard's Cobalt which had rolled out just past the finish line. Richard is A-OK and is being taken to the medical centre for a precautionary check. Micke and Tommy were next up, 0.0860 and 1.0149 to sixty feet for Micke to Tommy's 0.7439 and 1.0322, 4.4510/253.91 at half track to Tommy's 4.5091/250.52, very consistent passes from Micke this weekend. I always think it takes particular courage to be in the first pairing after a crash and Micke and Tommy didn't miss a step, well done guys. Final pairing of the session and huge burnouts from both Jimma and Michael, a bit of a burndown before staging and then a tremendous race, Jimmy away first 0.0268 to 0.0950, 0.9902 sixty feet for Jimmy to Michael's 0.9989, Michael had the better eighth 4.3791/257.63 to 4.4111/254.16 and Michael ther first by 0.0040. 17:05 FIM/UEM Top Fuel Bike qualifying session 2 (left lane first): Peter Ström 4.6739/256.79, Marc Weber 7.1702/155.08, Shaun Branch 5.4738/196.88, Anders Forsberg 10.5658/114.42, Michal Ponca 9.5371/95.51, Otto Knebl 17.5580/56.13, Asko Määttä 6.2341/211.65, Soren Hartvig 4.8393/232.95, Rickard Gustafsson no time, Luigi Ferretti 4.4249/263.64 bye, Ian King 4.2298/288.53, Peter Svensson 4.3409/270.25 Peter opened his account straight into the top eight with an easy-looking pass. Marc improved but the bike looked to be cruising. Shaun also opened his account with a top eight place, Anders had problems and idled through. Michal seemed to have gear selection problems and eventually shut off, Otto's engine bogged off the line and took its time getting going, Otto idled through. Asko picked up a place but the bike was hesitant off the line, a good pass for Soren but no improvement on his earlier ET. Rickard lost fire after the burnout and his crew was stopped from restarting him as per the rules. Luigi took the bye and laid down a clean and straight pass and moved a couple of places up the standings. A consistent pass for Ian whilst Peter improved but stayed in place. Torbjörn took the bye and got a time on the board. A great match-up between Petri and Jaska, something came off Jaska's bike right on the eighth. Both moved into the top eight. Same story for Hans Olav and Stefan, nice passes and into the top eight which is really tightening up. A big improvement for Ulf, showing no sign of his problems earlier and into the top eight, Erik was dragging his left foot most of the way and shut off at about 400 feet. An improvement for Greger but he stayed in place, in the other lane Joachim laid down a stormer and took over #1 spot. Acka's lead lasted exactly one pairing as Roel took it away from him, Per improved but stayed in place. In the last pairing Lorenz leapfrogged Joachim to take #2 spot. Rasmus' bike broke off the line, Ulf had left before the lights ran. A big move for Fredrik into the top eight with a much improved pass. Martin also into the eight whilst Steen improved but only good for a couple of places. Anders A moved up the standings, we would expect to see him near the top and he's on his way there now. Bousinis went about a yard then his engine stopped. A big improvement for Stavros, up to #4 at that point, Kenneth's engine note was up and down. Anders J moved up to #2 whilst Anders L improved but stayed in place. Orjan ran within 0.004 of this morning's ET. Qualifying standings after this session:

Marko shut off in the bleach box so Micke G took the bye, trying to drive through severe tyre shake but eventually pedalling as the car moved around - a 6.5 with a pedal, what would Micke's run have been without? Tami hit shake off the line then the tyres smoked, the car moved around and he got off the throttle, in the other lane Urban laid down a very solid pass to get himself into the top sixteen, 1.0220 to sixty feet, 4.1151/285.12 to half track and that will make a good baseline. Mats looks to have got over his shake problems, 1.0339 to sixty feet and 4.1239/287.38 to half track, Kej-Erik hit shake off the line and was soon off the throttle. Roger pulled a tremendous 0.0628 reaction in his match-up with Terje, 1.0219 to sixty feet for Terje to Roger's 1.0740 and Terje had the better eighth at 4.2449/272.43 to Roger's 4.3522/277.48. Patrick on a second checkout pass with the OFAB Thriller, 1.1469 to sixty feet and 4.3710/277.41 to half track whilst Micke N stepped right up with a 1.0213 sixty foot and 4.1554/280.48 eighth, and let's not forget that Micke is used to a blown-alcohol car. Bruno hit bad shake and got off the throttle, nothing obviously amiss for Bert Ove, the car was just labouring a little. Marc shut off on the way back from his burnout so Hans took the bye, the Willys made a serious move and Hans pedalled briefly but still moved up a place. We had a clean-up and sled after Marc pushed back and then it was Micke L v Robert J. Robert lost fire befoe his burnout and then the tyres didn't light, and Robert drove off up the track. Micke took the bye, the car was visibly not as quick as yesterday's pass although a 6.3 isn't exactly slow! 1.0708 to sixty feet and 4.1689/284.38 at half track. UK v UK next, Andy v Gordon, Gordon's tyres didn't light in the burnout. A stormer for Andy, consolidating his #1 spot resetting his own track record. 1.0241 to sixty feet and 4.0591/289.70 to half track. Gordon was looking good at the start with a 0.0890 reaction, 1.0378 to sixty feet but looked to be losing time by half track where he clocked 4.2509/269.20 and then shut off before the finish. The car sounded lazy, as if it had a throttle stop on...I know it didn't so no E-Mails thank you, but that's how it sounded. But Rickard now has a time on the board and there is at least one other qualifying session to go. Arto reportedly staged on his front wing so his run is under review right now and we'll let you know the outcome. Peter and Timo were drawing into stage when word came from the top end that we had a sprinkling of rain so they were shut off and pushed back to cool off, and Paul and Krister were brought forward. Paul laid down a 200 foot burnout before his match-up with Krister, Krister's dragster sounded to hesitate momentarily off the line but he stayed with it even when it started to move around in the second half. Paul put in a straight and clean pass and his second Personal Best in two runs, well done Paul! Improvements for both, but both stayed in place. Talk about consistency - Grumpy ran one ten-thousandth quicker than yesterday to consolidate his #1 spot, 0.9402 to sixty feet, 3.5941/335.21 at half track; Rob's run was no slouch either, 0.9112 to sixty feet and 3.5840/329.31 at the eighth. A very rapid reaction for Jörgen, 0.0549 to Kjell's 0.1220, 1.0260 to sixty feet for Kjell to Jörgen's 1.0289. Jörgen was off the throttle at about half track which he reached in 4.1009/274.50 to Kjell's 3.9698/303.11. Kjell improved his ET and moved into #3 spot at that point. Freddy was away first in his match-up with Jarmo, 0.1179 to 0.4029, 09670 to sixty feet for Freddy to Jarmo's 0.9829, Freddy drove through shake from sixty to 330 feet, 3.9119/312.31 at half track to Jarmo's 3.9542/301.58. Freddy up into #3 at that point and Jarno #4, Jonas on the bump at that point. Arvid was out of the field before his match-up with Danny, a 0.0770 reaction showed his determination to do something about that. 1.0321 to sixty feet for Arvid to Danny's 1.0178, Arvid had the better eighth numbers at 4.0720/290.77 to Danny's 4.1159/289.69. Arvid into the top eight, Danny was in there anyway. Lots of smoke from the right bank on Jonas' car as he staged, the car seemed to labour off the line and he was off the throttle by about 300 feet. A little shake for Dan but he drove through it, 1.0010 at sixty feet and 3.9218/308.30 at half track. Leif hit shake and the Stratus started to bounce up and down at about 300 feet but he drove through it quite happily and ran a very consistent pass on yesterday's performance, Ulf went straight as you like with no sign of shake and into the #1 spot. 13:40 FIA Top Fuel Dragster qualifying session 2 (left lane first): Andy Carter 4.7322/492.32, Jöran Persåker 5.2201/404.40, Siw Nystad did not start, Stig Neergaard 5.560/398.00, Lex Joon 5.4328/297.98 bye, Janne Ahonen 4.8810/443.50, Tommy Haapanen 4.9309/476.35, Micke Kågered 12.3549/53.45 bye I knew Andy was on a good one when I saw his sixty foot time come up, 0.8383! 3.1900/414.35 at half track, the car was moving around some in the second half of the track but Andy kept hold of it and backed off just a touch early. Kirstie at trackside reported that Andy's chutes were a bit late. Andy reset his own track ET record and is on the first half of a European ET record, well done Andy and the Andersens! Jöran clocked 0.9071 to sixty feet, 3.4640/371.94 at the eighth and was off the throttle at just about that point. Word on the track radio was that Jöran's blower banged at the top end and that he went into the sand at the end of the track. The Persåker Speed shop car recovered, Stig pulled his burnout whilst Siw's crew were frantically trying to fire up the motor. As Stig got back from his burnout the Rune Fjeld Motorsport team were told to give up trying and Siw was pushed out of the pairing lanes for the second time in two sessions. Stig took the bye and the car seemed quite languid off the line, 1.015 to sixty feet and 3.676/355.31 to half track, a puff of smoke and a brief pedal just past the eighth, Stig stayed with it but the car sounded to be labouring and there was a yellow haze around the car towards the top end. Lex almost did it again, 0.8488 to sixty feet and then cylinders went out and the car started to drift towards the guardrail, 3.3170/359.76 at half track and it was another fag paper job by the rail, Lex pedalled and the car made a serious move to the right at the finish line. Lex held on to it OK but the run was disqualified as Lex went over the outer boundary of his lane. A great match-up between Janne and Tommi, 0.8820 to sixty feet for Janne to Tommi's 0.8687, 3.3721/399.93 at the eighth for Janne to Tommi's 3.2960/384.72. Some smoke and a nitro haze from Janne's dragster in the second half and he was off the throttle before the finish but blasted his Personal Best, well done Janne! Tommi's run was hard and straight and very consistent with yesterday's pass. No sign of Urs Erbacher so Micke took the bye, 0.8869 to sixty feet then there was a thump and Micke got off the throttle, something came off the car and rolled into the right lane. A few checks under Christer's very nice-looking car just as he went to stage and he was shut off. Jonas hit bad shake at the hit and the Camaro turned right, Jonas got off the throttle. I told you we weren't finished with the sixes in qualifying, a hard and straight run for Adam and our seventh six! Jan was there but then when I looked up after typing the last sentence he had left the pairing lanes. Richard took the bye and something came off the car at 330 feet - nothing crucial since Richard laid down a much improved pass. Peter E hit bad shake at the hit and the car turned hard left, just missed the Tree, he got off the throttle and idled up the track. A straight and clean pass for Peter and a slight improvement on yesterday. Magnus and Kenneth were pulling forward to stage when they were shut off for rain at the top end which then turned into a long and very heavy downpour. During the rain delay we got word that Eero's 6.9912 had been disallowed after the post-run tech check so his 10.0210 from yesterday has been reinstated as his qualifying time. On the restart Magnus and Kenneth matched up again, Magnus had a small amount of shake off the line which will have hurt his ET, a slight impovement but no change in position. Kenneth's Grand Am made a move to the left off the line but he had it covered and moved a couple of places up the standings. A classic side-by-side match-up for Tommy and Micke, one hundredth between them at half track, Micke into #2 spot and Tommy up to #4 at that point. Jimmy took #2 spot back in a tremendous match-up with Michael Malmgren, Jimmy clocked 0.9995 to sixty feet but Michael was ahead all the way and consolidated his #1 spot with new track records again. 0.0257 seconds between them at the finish line. Michal's bike hesitated off the line for a few seconds and then picked up, and Michal stayed on the throttle way past the eighth. Marc's bike was also hesitant and he looked to be taking it easy. Otto's engine banged right on the eighth, Asko's bike hesitated off the line but then picked up. A very smooth and clean run for Ian, made it look very easy. A good pass for Soren too after the engine was popping and banging some on the start line. Smooth runs for Luigi and Rikard, Rikard's front wheel didn't come down until about 500 feet. Torbjörn started his engine then shut it off before the burnout. Erik's bike shed a couple of metal pieces in stage but his crew didn't get to him before the lights ran, a clean pass though. Ulf's bike drifted to the right and he sideswiped the guardrail just past the eighth, word is that Ulf is quite OK. Good straight passes for both Per and Greger, Per into #1 spot at that point. A big burnout for Jaska, about half way through the burnout the exhausts threw out a lot of unburnt fuel but no concern from Jaska's crew so all OK I guess. Jaska then had tyre shake and got off the throttle and spent the rest of the run shaking a fist, in the other lane Pettri's bike started to drift to the right and he feathered the throttle. A great pass for Roel, the bike hooked up and went and was visibly accelerating hard and into #1 spot at that point. Stefan's bike made a small move and he was off the throttle before the eighth. Clean pass for Joachim, Hans Olav was off the throttle by about 400 feet. Gunther rode out a slight fishtail and Lorenz laid down a stormer for #1 spot - from that race it was obvious why those two are #1 and #2 in the Championship right now. A good straight run for Anders L, Anders A was on an equally good pass until his engine started to smoke and he shut off at about half track. A tremendous pass for Tom and there's more there because the Twin bogged off the line very slightly, new track records for ET and speed. A good baseline pass for Anders J. We're here to bring you all the news in association with American Car Imports. The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and is broadcasting a picture every two minutes. Right now there's a little rain in the air but nothing too serious, the jet dryer is running up and down the track to keep the temperature up so that the spot evaporate. We've got a long day of it today with an 08:30 start, three Pro sessions scheduled for 9:20, 13:20 and 17:20, qualifying and eliminations in NDRS and a 21:20 finish. We are still getting complimentary E-Mails about the coverage and particularly Simon and Kirstie's illustrated pit notes which judging by the reaction seem to be the hit of the weekend.
