You've probably worked this out for yourselves but the track was dry and just about ready to go then it rained. Then it stopped raining and out came the track crew, then it rained again and so on. The jet dryers have just been called back from the track as it has started to rain again.

One piece of trivia for you was that the track temperature immediately before the track dryer passed was 71.7 F, and immediately after the track dryer passed the temperature was 166.1 F.

Anyway we are still awaiting an end to the rain - to be honest given the forecast we have got off quite lightly but it shows no real sign of changing. Stay tuned.

Unbelievably the rain has gone away, the track is drying and the Super Street Bike racers are walking the track. Stay tuned.

Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of day one of the Big CC Racing Super Street Bike Shootout in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and is broadcasting a picture every sixty seconds.

Right now that webcam picture tells you everything you need to know - that it is raining and that nothing is happening. But have a careful look and see if you can work out what's missing...
