It's been a very busy day here at Shakespeare County, with a few more race cars and bikes, and a large number of RWYB cars arriving. The pairing lanes have been full all day, and we've had six and a half hours of furious action

Scott Collier must have put in more runs than anyone else, and continued running mid thirteens all day today, on the Jade Junior Drag Bike. I've just been told by the crew here in the control tower, that Scott has put in 39 runs this weekend! Best reaction time of the weekend went to young Peter Walker, who cut a 0.004 light in the beautifully painted Junior Dragster.

Ron Bartlett pulled a HUGE smokey burnout, followed by his usual twisted launch, in his Anglia, but clicked off early. A second run later in the day saw a mid ten second run. Chris Hodgkins successfully completed his licensing runs, and and ran a pair of 10.7 runs in the process. The team were understandably delighted.

Super Street racer Leigh Morris put in a number of runs in his Jaguar, and was right on the numbers, recording passes of 10.97, 10.95 and 10.94. Fellow Super Streeter Bob Lees blitzed the class index, running 10.48. Mark Watkins debuted his new blown motor in his Datsun, getting closer to the Super Street index with each run, and that motor sounds really strong.

Finally, I would like to say a big "thank you" to Lee, Jeremy, Ozzy, Simon, Tracey and the rest of the Shakespeare County Raceway team for looking after me so well this weekend.

A few more cars have now arrived, Ron Bartletts Pro ET/Super Gas Anglia is here, as is Tony Smiths Wildbunch altered. Conrad Stanleys Super Gasser is here, but he tells me that it's only here because it's on the same trailer as daughter Annas Junior Dragster! He also told me that Anna was searching their caravan for a welsh flag to fly from the back of her JD, in honour of the Welsh Rugby team winning the Grand Slam. As a person with dual Welsh/English nationality, I can relate to that.

RWYB action is due to start at 10.30, and my next update will probably be at the end of the day, around 17.00
